The first time I ordered I received what I needed in record time which I was incredibly grateful for considering my birds needed a medicine they had. My 2nd purchase is already on its way! I had a lot of questions and they took the time to answer them and get me the products I needed. This place has things that you you usually can not get unless you drain your wallet at a vet. Walked in around closing to buy some emergency meds for my Modena. Mark was there to help and I feel so honored to have spoken to him! He has so much knowledge about pigeons and their needs and as a newer pigeon-parent I feel so comfortable coming to Jedds. I can't say how thankful I am to find everything I needed to help my bird recover from an illness thanks to this business. My bird came down sick on a Friday the week before Christmas and could not be seen even as an avian emergency case until Monday. As a result, he nearly died over the weekend. (Typically I keep emergency supplies on hand but I forgot to reorder after those supplies expired over the summer. I slacked off because my bird had always been healthy only to be rudely reminded that I should not be caught unprepared again.) My bird is improving thanks in no small part to this specialty business. No pet store, feed store or online store such as Chewy can match what a dedicated bird supply can offer. My best advice to anyone with a bird is to invest in supportive health products such as probiotics, vitamins and basic emergency supplies. To be clear, you MUST take your bird, if it is sick, to a qualified avian vet. However, there are times when well-intentioned efforts fail and that's when you need a "plan B". in my case, I tried two different avian veterinarians who failed to make a diagnosis, preferring instead to remind me that parakeets are not that long lived and are prone to cancer. However, as a bird owner for over 40 years I have owned budgies that lived 10-12 years, therefore I wasn't about to let my bird die simply because six years of age is "geriatric". I mean no disrespect to veterinarians on the whole -- one of my family members is a veterinarian, in fact! -- however, avian veterinarians, in my experience, tend to be skeptical of both small birds and their owners: For one, some owners do not want to spend the money. For another, even if money is no object, diagnostic efforts are stressful in their own right. Birds tend to become seriously ill so quickly that by the time they are seen they can't survive fecal, crop, X-ray and blood tests on a single visit. As a result, even qualified avian veterinarians may shy away from doing anything but throwing antibiotics at a problem. The problem is, antibiotics aren't always the answer. In my case, my bird had a fungal infection for which an antibiotic, alone, would have been akin to taking lighter fluid and throwing it on a fire. In closing, exotic pets are a big responsibility. Leaving the entirety of knowledge to a veterinarian can, for this reason, be misguided. After all, no one is going to fight for your feathered family member as hard as its own owner. Thankfully, businesses like this make that fight for health and wellness possible. read more

Just bought a 50lb bag of guinea pig food for about $40 which is such a good price considering others pet based market sell guinea pig food for around $20 for only 6lbs... recommend this place if you want to buy in bulk! I placed an order on Febuary 23. It was sent around the world a few times and finally arrived March 13th. Only to be the wrong item. Which I was informed they had never seen. There was no brand name on the item,but this is the only purchase i made for this particular thing . They stated that they didnt sell this item but this is what I got not the item they told me I had ordered. They proceeded to ask me how it was packaged and I said in a box with my husband as a witness. They pretty much called me a liar and said it was sent in a bubble envelope. NOT AT ALL TRUE !!! Then proceeded to say I got it out of hiding from years ago with an expiration date of 6/26. They should not be in business. Will never deal with these people or theives again . If I could give Jedds zero stars I would. I have been breeding and showing pigeons for over 40 years. I have also bought supplies from Jedds over the years with no issue, including last week. This is why I have to write this review because I have never been treated so horribly. I called the other day and had some questions about their different feeding syringes. The man who answered the phone admitted her didn't know anything about feeding syringes and put me on hold to find someone who did. Ok, no problem. He then gets back on the phone and says he is going to help me. This is after he admitted he didn't know anything about them. I asked to speak to someone who does and he said I would be speaking to him. He then gets very aggressive on the phone and hung up on me! I have never had this experience before with any company, but I will never give Jedds another order. Horrible experience read more

Love this place! This was my 3rd or 4th time to Jedds, I normally shop online but I went inside the store today for the first time. I went in asking for high protein count seeds and multivitamins for my VERY picky pigeon. I was asked if I needed help and just explained my situation with my pij Snow, they gave me a 5 pound bag of safflower seeds that they reduced from a 20 pound bag (I have one pigeon so I was grateful) and the multivitamins for free. Everyone there is so nice. Every time I picked up an order everyone's been super nice and helpful and today was completely unexpected but just goes to show how nice everyone there is. Don't remember the name, but a really nice man with beard walked me through the shop and gave me some much-needed freebies. I went to jedds today to buy pigeon feed. First off there were a few people just standing around that saw me there, and didn't bother to ask me if I needed help. I finally had to say "excuse me" to someone just to get help. Second, there was a man there who was clowning his friend saying that he's gonna be in hell with all the "Catholics" with people of a certain ethnic group. Not going to say what group so that I don't cause too much trouble. It was somewhat racist, and as a white person myself, I was offended as I am engaged to a person of that group. He went on and on about other people including lawyers in hell. Pretty ignorant, and stupid. If you the employee are reading this, say what you want behind closed doors, but shut your big mouth when customers are around. I recently purchased some nest bowls from Jedds. Upon receiving them they were not as advertised and not functional. I called for a refund and they told me that they knew they were garbage but sold them to me anyways. They were willing to provide a refund but the shipping was twice the cost of the product so i was going to be out more than the cost of the item once i shipped it out and back. They do not refund shipping. When asked why they would sell a product that they knew was not usable they had no response. The product description was portrayed in such a way as to disguise the product faults. read more
