Had no wait during a Sunday lunch. Street parking plentiful and staff was very friendly. I loved the twist on standard roll appetizers, instead they give Chicharrón. The seasoning was so yummy! The burger was very flavorful and I enjoyed the unique flavors and seasonings. Restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating. Very nostalgic and cozy interior.

Oink, Moo, Cluck for the win! This place was suggested by and ultimately enjoyed with my fellow Yelp Elitist friend, so expectations were up there. A nice tap list was a good sign (hello Galactic Face Slap!). We ordered some appetizers and I went with wings. It had been a long travel day and I hadn't eaten much so of course went with six wings instead of three, not expecting full (unsplit) ones. Thankfully, we were sharing appetizers. Then I went with the smoked burrito bowl. Again it was a very satisfying portion and I was up for the challenge. It was reasonably spicy (silly me didn't look at the pepper scale to see how spicy) but it never got to me. A friendly server was attentive for sure and added to our enjoyment during our time there. I'd definitely go back

First of all....amazing food! We are from the Cities and were in town for a long weekend and wanted to try some local places. We were swayed to try this place due to other Yelp reviews and are so thankful we did! We started with an appetizer of fries. These were SO good! Perfect combination of crisp and soft and served with tasty sauces to dip in. The main courses were wonderful. I had the chicken burrito bowl which was a flavor explosion of fabulousness! Huge portions with plenty to take home. My husband had the burger and raved about the flavor combination. He would have liked the ability to choose how he wanted it prepared as he prefers more of a medium rather than done burger. My daughter and cousin both got sandwiches and enjoyed them completely. The side items at our table also got raving reviews including the cream corn, the grits, and the fritters. Nothing was sub par! My granddaughter did not like her Mac and cheese as it was made from scratch and not a box and the flavors were a little more adult than she is. :). The only negatives we had were minor. Kids receive a menu with a coloring page but no crayons. Hard to occupy them with just a picture. The second is the inability to have your burger done to your taste. The last was the server was not very attentive. We had to ask for drink refills and she promptly forgot to fill them. Didn't check in enough to see if we were ok. However, the person who brought out the food was super good and helped increase the service rating. Overall, because of the quality of the food we would recommend and return ourselves. They have a wonderful patio for outdoor dining and we would love to try that in the future. Even though we were there during the lunch rush, it was not too loud to hold conversation and it felt very homey! Perfect summer evening venue!

This was by far the best place I went to in Duluth. Everywhere I had gone that night was super busy, including OMC. The difference is when I saw at the bar, I had a very prompt interaction with one of the bartenders. I was provided fresh pork rinds to try the bbq sauces with. The horseradish was my favorite. They gave me a breakdown of the entire place and stayed very attentive. I try to not bother anyone except whoever my waiter/waitress is, but here it didn't matter. Everyone behind the bar was very kind and helpful. They gave me phenomenal recommendations on the food and drinks. Even the patrons all seemed genuinely happy with everything they ate and gave me recommendations on the food and the area! I ended up trying the creme brulee, gourmet Mac and cheese and an old fashioned. All of it was exceptional. The Mac and cheese was genuinely my favorite food from the weekend. The other thing is the

We got the stuffed jalapeños and the burrito special. Both were so good - the brisket burrito was INCREDIBLE. Easily one of the best burritos we have had and was bursting with so many flavors. The texture was amazing as well and it was huge so split well for 2 people. The service was also incredible every single person was so helpful and funny and made us feel so comfortable to ask any questions!

In Summary: This is the best BBQ you are going to find in Duluth and the North Shore. So, stop searching and drop by here on your way up. The Details: For those of you who know me, you know I take a Bar B Que review seriously. So here goes! The Service was outstanding! Admittedly, people are nice in Duluth, but Sarah F went above and beyond. We should have been a terrible table for her... two dudes, a little girl, and a dog. However, she was gracious and patient, right from the start. When we treated her well and started talking BBQ, she brought out the team. Thank you to the front manager Sam who chatted us up. A special thank you to pitmaster Josh and Sean who rolled up their sleeves and talked Turkey.... Literally!!! The ambiance is perfect! Shaded outdoor space during the day was a huge plus! It was perfect! On to the food.... This is a traditional Southern Pride propane/wood smoked BBQ. I am personally not a fan of these smokers, but OMC did well. I found the St louis ribs to be the best cook of them all, with perfect tenderness. The brisket has solid seasoning with plenty pepper. The poblano corn was a fun side! Overall, a great little find in Duluth.

This BBQ spot in Duluth has become a North Shore family tradition! We venture up from the West Metro 2-3 times a year and always make a point to stop at OMC. We continue to have enjoyable experience here and certainly have our go to favorites on the menu, like the BBQ bowl. This time I deviated course a little bit and tried the loaded Mac and Cheese. The beef brisket seemed a bit dryer than normal, but since I like to smother the meat in any of the 4 amazing sauces anyways I still thoroughly enjoyed it. Rising prices, and the continued addition of hidden fees on the bill make the value feel less compelling, but I feel that the food and friendly service still make it worth it!

We came late on a Saturday night. They told us it would be almost 2 hours as there were 24 ahead of us, but the wait was about 40 minutes. A lot of people just no-showed. We tried several items in our group. Smoked OMC Plate: St. Louis-style ribs (2), sliced brisket (4 oz.), and 1/4 smoked chicken - very good Mac and Cheese - okay Roasted Bacon and Blue Cheese Potato Salad - didn't like Fire-Roasted Poblano Creamed Corn - excellent Our server was okay but too busy. Drinks were never refilled. My son loves this place. I just didn't feel like it was special.

Beef brisket - a tad dry/dense, and killer sides - baked beans and mashed sweet potatoes with a sweet crunch. Very yummy!

This is a pretty awesome place. Situated in the Lincoln Park neighborhood of Duluth, which is funky and eclectic. The brisket was good, the pulled pork was good, the sauces were good, but the sides were great! Fun atmosphere and very friendly staff!

Tons of small sauces. The Alabama white BBQ was my favorite!

Are you looking for BBQ on the North Shore!? This is BY FAR the best BBQ in Minnesota! So when you are in Duluth, make sure to stop! There is a little bit of parking but I find it's hard to find parking and normally just do a "to go" order. This can be done online! The service was fairly quick on the Saturday I went. Everything I ordered was on my bag and they did include silverware. This place does have a cool patio with fire pits. The sweet smokey smell throughout the place will have your mouth watering! The food: THE MUST GET ITEMS: The brisket! Holy moly! It is soooooooo good!!! Best I have ever had! Also the sweet potato's with the candied pecans oh my goodness yum! The ribs here are also BEYOND YUMMY!! They changed the size of their sauces. You can get plenty of sauce but they come in small containers... not a fan. I wish they were bigger again. The hush puppies were not worth it. And the hot honey had a funny taste to it. The corn bread is a bit dry. Those I would skip. The pulled pork is pretty solid. The chicken is also delicious! My boyfriend had the Mac and cheese and it was creamy and had a great cheesy flavor! There is a park with a playground 5 minutes from here if you want to do a pick up!

Solid bbq joint in Duluth! Spacious and well cleaned restaurant with authentic and rustic smokehouse feel. Ordered and shared the OMC Smokehouse plate ($37) substituting the ribs with pulled pork. I enjoyed all the meats but believe the brisket was the best with the honey bbq sauce! All of the meat was moist and tender. I think the portions of pork and beef were pretty slim for the value but that's America these days I suppose. For sides, we tried the OMC beans and the Mac n cheese. The beans had some spice and great flavor. The Mac n cheese was bland and unremarkable but balanced the beans' heat. Service was outstanding! Server Mariah (according to receipt) set this place apart! She was fun, friendly, personable, and always on top of it!

I really enjoyed the space, people, and food. We had great service. Our waitress helped choosing some great food. I had their Buffalo chicken biscuit as well as their jalapeño appetizer. The biscuit was so great, wish I could have finished it all. None of the food looked bad on the table!!!

I was only in town for 2 nights and in my second night I decided to not eat at the hotel. This place was 5 mins away so I gave it a shot. What a gem. It wasn't busy so the hostess not only walked me to the bar but also made my drink. I totally enjoyed the pork rinds so I could try all the bbq sauce they offer. I was handed off to a young sweet bartender who was very enthusiastic about everything I wanted to order. I settled on the Pit Master sandwich. It was amazing and satisfied my bbq craving. Because I was on a work trip I decided to get dessert. The brownie was warm and the whipped cream with infuse with bourbon. I believe the sauce was a vanilla butterscotch with pecans. What made is really good was it was a corner piece. I like the vibe of this place.

Even though this was well past lunch time at 2PM, the outside patio was packed and there was a line of 10 people or so to contend with to order at the register. Due to how busy it was, our food took about 20 minutes to arrive. The Squealy Dan, Porketta ($16) - Unlike most other restaurants with Iron Range Porketta, Northern Waters slices their porketta thinly instead of pulling the pork apart. It has a pleasant spiced flavor and the texture feels as if it's cured rather than roasted. It's relatively tender, and while they give a decent amount of meat, it's completely overshadowed by the heavy spicy quality of the black pepper and the acidity and vegetalness of the crunchy pepperoncini. There's a bit of melted gooey provolone on top of the porketta. While nice, there's not enough to balance out the peppers. This is all on a crusty almost baguette-like hero roll, toasty and warm. The sandwich is served with a side dip that's essentially black pepper and pepperoncini water. Definitely not needed given how overwhelming those elements are in the sandwich. (3/5) Pastrami Mommy ($19) - I haven't had bison pastrami before. Now I know why it's not very common - it's way too lean and dry compared to beef pastrami. Still, it's nicely spiced and peppery, and there's not much of the bison gamey flavor since it's cooked out from the curing. There's a little bit of mayo underneath and some mustard on top, but it's not enough moisture or fat in my opinion to counteract the leanness of the bison. While there are some slices of provolone above the meat, they are served cold. I feel like melting it with the pastrami on the griddle would do wonders to help develop some more unctuousness. It's also served on cold rye - perhaps toasting with some butter would also help. Otherwise, the sandwich is just too dry and lean for my tastes. (3/5) I feel like I ordered the wrong items. I probably should have gone with some of the seafood sandwiches, but I found it strange they only serve Atlantic salmon rather than local lake fish. In the end, I appreciate that Northern Waters Smokehaus makes most of their meats in house, but after trying their food, I feel like it's more hype than substance. Bathrooms - Larger ones located upstairs, shared with the rest of the businesses in the mini mall. Note: Northern Waters Smokehaus charges a 3% credit card fee.
