    Chicken Tetrazzini

Service was delightful. Our server was outgoing, polite and attentive. I had the chicken tetrazzini which was okay. The cream sauce was really heavy and the chicken was fair. The crispy cheese top was very tasty, however. It was good enough that I would go back, but only to try something else. The place is a haven of comfort food in a very relaxed, homey setting and I'd like to take a lap through the menu. I prefaced my entree with a very good French onion soup and a side salad with a delightful vinaigrette. And if you come to Grandma's, bring your appetite - the portion sizes are more than fair!

A friend who used to live in MN suggested we eat at Grandma's while visiting Duluth. It has a fun atmosphere with lots of old posters and signs hanging on all the walls. Our waitress was attentive to our needs. The Reuben sandwich was very good, the meat tender and tasty. I do wish they would add more sauerkraut, though. The fries are lightly battered and flavorful. The spaghetti and meatballs were good, but not in a meat sauce, as described in the menu. I tried the Duluth made Blackberry Basil seltzer and found it to be quite flavorful. I think I would have it over ice next time.

For being at Grandma's on a Tuesday at 3:30 in the afternoon we still waited for 30 minutes to be seated. Our server got to us right away and took our order. I go there for one reason so I knew what I wanted. The Steak Cheese French Sandwich. Unfortunately because of the time of day (I think) were understaffed. The servers were really good, just overwhelmed the staff. 5 stars Management 4 stars the place was really busy. Food Always great.

Grandma's was such a good find. We had a large group of 12 that they were able to seat in about 20 minutes which was great. Service was also super great, especially for such a large group. A large food and beer menu, it was difficult to choose. I had the chicken and wild rice soup, which 10/10 would recommend. I also had the chicken pot pie, which was also so great. After dinner we went to the upstairs bar and they have such a cute patio where you can view the bridge go up and down.

Oh man, that Chicken Tetrazzini with Wild Rice was the bomb!! The location of this place is great, despite the touristy surroundings. Good food and great service

We dined in on a Saturday evening with a large group. While we were waiting for our table, we browsed the front section of the establishment - you could play claw machines, browse and purchase various knick-knacks, or even buy some fudge. There is seating both indoors and outdoors. Our server did a good job taking care of us. I ordered the sesame salmon bowl, which was very delicious (although I thought the breadstick was an odd touch - the dish seems more cohesive without it). Overall, I enjoyed my meal here!

We went to Grandmas today for a late lunch early dinner. We did have to wait about a half hour to get a seat. It seems to always be busy. We each got the famous Steak Cheese French sandwich. I got mine with a salad and my husband got the fries. It was very good and large. We probably should have split one but....oh well

Came to Grandma's with a party of 12 and got sat within 20 minutes. Service was quick and handled our big group very well. My food was good but the chicken was a bit overdone. Overall a good experience but I would try another dish.

Grandma's is a Duluth institution, with a sizable menu, generous portion sizes, and prices to match. The inside decor is a throw back to the early advertising era with large metal signs hanging everywhere. It is comfortable and clean with a ton of seating areas. The service is great, we were seated promptly and our server was both lovely and present. The food is wonderful tasting comfort food that will stick to your ribs. The menu has plenty of options to please everyone as well. The prices are high but not incredibly crazy either.

Daughter and just had dinner here. She got the kids menu mac n cheese and LOVED it. I've been here a few time and got the chicken tetrazzini, best I've ever had here. Service very friendly and attentive. Great experience.

On a Tuesday mid-afternoon, promptly seated in a clean & comfy booth. Such a welcoming place. Lots of antique stuff to look at. Keely waited on us, very nice, attentive lady. I had a hazy IPA , cup of Chicken with wild rice soup, golden onion rings and the beef & shrooms appetizer as my entree. PERFECTION. Just right, thx!

The food was mediocre, the service was mediocre. The ambience outside was great. It's overlooking the canal.

The chicken pot pie was extremely salty, and the salmon was over-seasoned as well. Aside from the food issues, the service was okay.

The beer selection was a little smaller than we expected, but there was still a nice variety of styles, so everyone in our group found something they enjoyed. They also have a full bar with specialty cocktails. The food menu was surprisingly large with lots of unique and fun options to try. The only small downside was that the Brussels sprouts were still a little undercooked for our taste, but everything else was excellent and more than made up for it. Excellent brisket, fish n chips, and build your own burger! The garlic aioli and IPA mustard sauces were definitely memorable. Overall, it's a great spot for good food, craft beer, and a fun atmosphere located right on the pier. We'd definitely come back!

We got on the waiting list and were told it'd be about a 30 minute wait. By golly, we know from the time stamps on the texts that it was 32 minutes total. We were seated outside, and service was fast and smooth from that point. We had the pretzel sticks appetizer, which was fantastic. Very soft, hot pretzels, and the queso was thick and loaded with flavor. My husband had the Canal Park red lager and really enjoyed it. My main dish was the birria tacos, which were quite good but could have used more cheese. Salsa and chips were fine, too. My husband had jalapeño popper burger with fries, and really liked it. Checkout was fast and pleasant.

I vaguely remember seeing recommendations…read morefor it on the race social page so figured I would give it a try for my carb loading :) Service: the city is busy on marathon weekend so I was pleasantly surprised that I was seated right away. It was in the mid afternoon so perhaps time was on my side. My server was very sweet and timely with refills etc. Ambiance: this is a good family place. Not fancy but good for a casual night out. There is a bar area separated by a door from the main restaurant. Food: the food was good. I had a pizza and my server recommended trying 2 different kinds (after some indecision on my part). For no extra charge they did each half differently which was really nice. I tried the Athena (Greek style) and Classic (like a supreme). Both were very tasty.

The bar area is such a vibe! Red lighting fills the area, and it seems like there is a stage for shows when it gets busy. On Monday they have a deal on their taps, but their website is good at detailing what deals are happening in what days! Hugo (I think his name was Hugo) was attentive and great! My meatball parmigiana hoagie was pretty decent! I will say it was the end of the night so the bread was a little bit hard. But as I ate the sandwich, sauce soaked in the bread more which softened it up. The potato chips were good too. The meatballs themselves were really good. I also loved the amount of cheese on the sandwich! Their menu is soooo extensive though. I want to try so many things on here. My glass of Pinot Grigio was $12.50. I also Ordered a seltzer that was on draft that ended up being $5 because of their Monday deal. I would absolutely be a regular here if I lived in the area.
