I am always nervous about the quality eating at a chain steakhouse but we had THE BEST time and meal here! Beware that everything is à la carte so it can get pricey. The staff was soooo accommodating to our group. Our waitress took pictures for us outside and even gave bandaids to the bride to be. Everything about our meal was so smooth. The bread is phenomenal. The potatoes and mushroom risotto couldn't have been better. The steak was cooked to perfection. Only critique would be the Brussels sprouts. They weren't as crispy as I would've liked and the thick cheese on top didn't seem to fit the dish. We got a piece of chocolate cake for everyone to take a bite and OMG it's huge!!! But so so delicious. Such a nicely decorated space and had a great vibe for a nice meal. I would highly recommend trying this place! read more

Hard to know where to start. I ordered the pork chop. Server asked how I wanted it cooked. I asked "how does the chef normally cook it". She said "medium rare". When it was served it had a cold, translucent center. The Brussel sprouts had no flavor. The asparagus was woody. My wife's steak was mediocre at best. All this for the low cost of $150! Do not come here. For staff, the guy behind the bar was very nice. As for our waitress, not so nice. Although she made an odd comment about the guy doing her job for her when she first came over, she was generally polite until I had to send my under done steak back. After that, she became condescending. As for the food, I ordered a medium rare sirloin and it was cold in the middle. I asked them to re-fire it, and got it back rare (and that's being generous). The whipped potatoes weren't really whipped and had a gas-like flavor in the crust on top. I got the vibe that this restaurant tries to be fancy with their weird salts and special knives, but the fluff doesn't cover up the bad service and bad food for premium(!!!) prices. My wife and I ate dinner here and ordered the New York strip and sirloin. Both were ordered at medium rare temperatures and came out fairly quickly. The cook on the strip was perfect, however, the cook on the sirloin was far from medium rare. It was far from rare. It was cold. When finding this we asked for it to be re-fired which was met with a condescending tone from our waitress, asking if we wanted it cook more medium vs medium rare.... I interjected and showed her the difference between the two cuts and for it to look like the cook on the strip. When she brought it into the kitchen, the cook started shouting about how we were wrong which seemed very unprofessional... the steak came back out rare at best and chewy which killed the appetite. Service was 2/5 for the rude waitress. We were seated by a very nice man who got our drinks for us. Food was 2/5. The strip was the silver lining but still wasn't a $50 steak. Fries - 4 stars Very good fries. Nice and crispy. Could use a touch less truffle so that you can comfortably eat the portion served. Garlic Mashed Potatoes - 4 Stars looked amazing and tasted good. A tad less garlic for me would've been great BUT would order again. Lobster Tail - 2 Stars Small and wouldn't order again. Cold as well. Lamb - 3 stars Ate the plate but very dry. Wouldn't order again. Seasoning was good. Pasta and Chicken - 3 stars It was good but nothing great. Wouldn't go out of my way to order again. NY Strip - 4 Stars Would order again. Tasted great and seasoning was great. Wife ordered Medium and got medium rare. Porterhouse - 4 stars Fat melted in my mouth. Again, the seasoning was GREAT! Ordered medium rare and was mostly rare. I would order again BUT it is $79... Chocolate Cake - 5 stars Wife ordered desert and when it came out we couldn't believe it. It looked like half a cake on the plate. Wife loved it and would go out of her way to order it again. We understood the price of the menu prior to going BUT with being that highly priced especially in this city you would expect 5 star dishes the whole time. read more

What an absolute buzzkill. This was the worst meal and service I have ever had from a high end restaurant establishment. I was staying in Superior for my Bachelorette weekend and saw the menu at this place and was SO excited to visit, but boy what a disappointment. There was six gals who had dinner here and one person enjoyed her meal (she got a Caesar salad). We are non drinkers, so I asked if they had "mocktails", to which the waitress said - "yeah they are on the menu." They offer two n/a beers - instead maybe suggest a sparkling lemonade, or another beverage with the flavorings you offer for signature cocktails (peach puree/huckleberry syrups) minus the booze. She didn't even let us know if they had Coke or Pepsi products. Three of us started with soup, which took 20 minutes to get. The lobster bisque was served lukewarm at best - and while the French onion soup was served hot, it was flavorless. For our meal we were upsold on the steaks, as the waitress explained the 5 oz petite filet couldn't be cooked properly to ensure a medium rare finish - to which two gals switched to the 10 oz and regretted. We also ordered the sides to share for the table (asparagus/brussels/bacon truffle mac & cheese/truffle fries). The only hit for our entire meal WAS the truffle fries - they were wonderful. But when they say "parmesan crusted" Brussels Sprouts - they mean fake parmesan sprinkled on top. One of the gals had to send her meal of the regular truffle mac and cheese back to the kitchen because of the tepid temperature. I am usually one of "those people" who loves to take photos of my meals, and with the lackluster appearance of everything - I didn't want to share this meal with anyone. The waitress seemed very frazzled and rushed the entire time - and they weren't busy, the restaurant was actually quite empty... we were one of maybe five tables. Our water glasses were empty the majority of time. When we received our bills the waitress then engaged with our table and asked if we were out celebrating anything... two hours too late. Yes it took 2 hours from the time we sat down, until the time we left. We had other activities on our docket for the evening so were frustrated with the amount of time we spent waiting. To top it off - one of the guests was overcharged. We reached out to the restaurant to inquire about the issue - and after leaving a voicemail we have yet to receive a call back with an explanation. read more

The food was excellent and the drinks were amazing, but the service was hands down the worst I've ever experienced. It was so bad that I'm leaving my very first review. Our server, Heather, showed up looking completely disheveled, like she hadn't even bothered to comb her hair in a week. On top of that, she was coughing and hacking up phlegm the entire time. My wife and her friend literally couldn't finish their meals because Heather was coughing directly over our plates. It was not only disgusting but also incredibly unhygienic, especially in a restaurant that charges premium prices. We expect Wissota Chophouse service to match the quality of the food and drinks, but Heather wouldn't be fit to work at a fast food restaurant, let alone here. Management should be embarrassed to allow someone in that condition to interact with customers, let alone serve food. We will NOT be back to any Wissota Chophouse location until the front-of-house staff meet the same standards as the kitchen. read more

The alligator is amazing. Definitely our favorite item on the menu. The lobster was done perfectly and the sides were delicious. My husband wasn't dissatisfied with his steak, but wasn't in love with the quality for the price. Our service was good the two times we have been there. This place was recommended to me as a great place to eat. I took my daughter and son in law there for dinner tonight. All three of us had the ribeye steak, with my daughter adding the "Oscar" to her order. Her steak was pretty good, but the crab cake she got was bad tasting. She eats a lot of crab, so she knows. Both of our steaks were terrible. They were hard to cut and chew. When the server asked how the meal was, we told her about all three steaks. No apology, no manager, nothing! When I go to a "Steak House", and pay Steak House prices, I expect a great steak. These were anything but. The place is new so the layout was good, but I'm not there for the ambience, I'm there for the meal. When we finished the steaks, there was as much fat and gristle as there was eatable meat. Really good food, I would say the best Super Cub in the Twin Ports. They know how to make a cocktail. Not just pour some flavored liquor in a glass and drop in some never heard of bitters. We had steak, prawns, and Sea Scallops. Not Bay Scallops. I ordered steak medium rare to rare. And that is the way it came. My wife's prawns were not over cooked. Which happens a lot up here and the scallops were nice and moist with a little color. I followed my grandsons advice and tried the Mac and Cheese with Truffles. Kid was right I don't even order Mac and Cheese when I go out. Servings were very generous and the staff knew how to serve. Just didn't drop a plate down in front of you but actually served it. Generous servings so didn't try dessert. Would highly recommend this fine dining experience to anyone. Will cost more than going to your favorite bar and grill but like I said this is a fine dining night out. read more
