This boutique is located in the east side of the mall by Bloomingdale's. When we entered, we were greeted by security. There were other patrons in the store being assisted, so we had to wait. There is a small couch in the back where we waited for the next sales associate to help us. When it was our turn, the sales lady immediately began assessing the size of my wrist to size the watch. She ended up switching out my band to a women's band to better fit me. The process took about 10 mins and then we were on our way. She did mention to me that the watch bands needed to be adjusted twice a year with weather changes. Great customer service and amazing quality product. Such an oddly dissatisfying experience. I am definitely an Omega fanboy and have multiple Omega watches purchased from some ADs and also preowned. It was mine and my wife's 6th anniversary and was excited to come in to give a boutique a chance. Figured I would pay for the "experience" and pick up an SMP I was wanting to pull the trigger on. I waited about 30 min because they were busy with other customers (totally understandable) but once I was greeted by the sales person who freed up, I felt like I was an inconvenience to them. No genuine greeting or excitement to make the sale. Potentially some prejudice about my as a buying client vs window shopper because I don't come in wearing unnecessarily gaudy clothes. But if your clients have the money to blow, you better treat them like a rockstar that's about to contribute to your commission. SMH. Was not offered any other incentive or goodies like the other stores have. I've have boutiques give me little things and offer drinks right away even before considering starting the purchase. No straps, no swag goodies, no nothing. Definitely was no "experience." The transaction felt cold, no rapport building on engagement from the sales person, and just me talking to myself through my decision making between models. Compared to the other two reps in the store, I could tell they were very much engaged and made the interaction much more personal with their clients. THAT is what I was hoping to pay for. I walked out of there with this watch, but somewhat of a sour taste in my mouth. Was hoping to be proven wrong to purchase at an OB vs AD or grey... but definitely wasn't sold on it. I can truly say that nothing compares to an Omega. I went back on Wednesday to look at the watch again and they did not have the 41 mm. The manager Stephen made phone calls and Fed Ex the watch I wanted in 24 hours. They went up and beyond to get this watch in time for the big boy birthday. Fantastic experience at the Omega Boutique at Fashion Valley Mall. My girlfriend and I stopped by here this afternoon despite the trek through bad drivers and blistering heat! As the anxiety and excitement grew, we walked through the heavy glass clad doors and were led to a desk. Cristina asked some questions to feel me out and brought out a few examples that I had expressed interest in. It didn't take me long for me to realize that I'd be walking out today with exactly what I'd wanted. She answered all my questions, acquiesced all my silly requests and inquiries and I ended up getting exactly what I'd dreamt of. I've been looking at an Omega Seamaster 300m Black Black for a while now and found one in-store. Only really wanted to try it on (43.5mm) and thanks to Christina, I walked out with one. Weighed my options and with the lower San Diego tax I saved almost $200 buying in SD versus LA. It was love at first sight as I've been eyeing the black dial, black band for about a year now. This Omega Boutique is an absolute revelation. The staff provides an experience commensurate with the beauty of the watches. It is incredibly rare to find that combination of technical knowledge paired with gracious customer service, but the professionals here embody both. The Speedmaster '57 Chronograph had caught my eye, and Allen not only took the time to talk in-depth with me about Omega's storied heritage, but then answered every one of my technical questions with regard to the Calibre 9300 movement (vertical clutch, column wheel mechanism, co-axial escapement - literally, the ONLY new escapement design in over 250 years, it's a revolutionary technology). I had previously been a devoted collector of timepieces from a different brand. Based on this experience, I have now decided to shift all my future purchases to Omega, and am currently eyeing the Speedmaster '57, the Aqua Terra 150M, and the lady's Aqua Terra for my wife. The Omega Boutique in Fashion Valley is First Class all the way. It's a pleasure to stop by anytime I'm in the mall, as the staff is always gracious, welcoming and happy to show any watch. Being the flagship store, there is nowhere else in San Diego to see the entire Omega contemporary lineup, and the staff here knows them all. The store is much larger than it looks from the walkway, as it has a narrow front but goes far back, with a small service shop as well. The window and collection displays seem to change often, so there's always something new to notice. It's the only place I've been able to order Omega parts, and really a good place to sit down and compare things side-by-side on your wrist instead of Hodinkee or catalogs. If you are lucky enough to meet Lisbeth there, she can tell you the history and evolution of each watch, with style. She wears a Speedmaster of her own, if that tells you anything. They're watch enthusiasts. The only bummer is that the Boutique, being the Omega's own flagship storefront, has to charge full MSRP for everything. For Omega in particular, that's hard to swallow, as several watches are heavily discounted at other retailers. Still, if you want the latest release or something hard to find, with a full warranty, red ribbon, and excellent service, this is the best place in So Cal. I make excuses to stop by Fashion Valley, get a head full of ideas, and hey, Omega's printed literature looks great on my coffee table. read more

I've purchased a couple watches over the last year and a half, each experience being professional, courteous, and above all: satisfying. About a month ago, I received an email from Nick Lesic at the Fashion Valley Boutique asking if I'd like to participate in an Omega sponsored marketing event. He told me they were looking for something in the marketing schedule which I might appreciate and enjoy. What did they come up with? An all expenses paid trip to Houston, for myself and a guest, for a behind the scenes visit at the Johnson Space Center with emphasis on the long history of Omega Speedmaster Professional at NASA for support of the manned space missions. Being an engineer and a Speedmaster fan, how could I refuse, even if it meant taking off a couple days in the middle of the week. How was it? Incredible! All arrangements were made for us by Omega's Kelly Peck. Now I know how the other half travels. We were chauffeured to the airport by private limousine, flown first class to Houston on United Airlines, chauffeured to the Houstonian, a 5 star hotel. Once there we were met by Omega's regional manager Jenn and the local boutique manager: Heather McBride who entertained us, and the other handful of clients from around the country, in the Houstonian's comfortable lounge with cocktails and appetizers. In our room, an Omega swag bag was waiting for us which contained some great items. Later that evening, we were joined by Roland Coy-Burt, the West Coast District Training Manager. I met Roy on a previous occasion at the San Diego Boutique when they were hosting a golf inspired event with special guest: Greg Norman. We were all piled into a luxury van and shuttled to Tony's restaurant where we were hosted in a private room. Joining us was David Cisco, a NASA Apollo Alumni who was a Lunar Module Spacecraft Technician and recipient of many honors including a "Snoopy" award whose recipients can only be nominated by the astronauts. David probed us to determine what we were most interested in seeing and provided us with an overview of what we could expect (which was pretty much all you could ask). He had a special treat in store for us: a unique tour and examination of the specially modified 747 aircraft which was used to shuttle the Space Shuttles back and forth across the country. David's discussion was followed by a presentation by Roland: of the long history of the Omega Speedmaster at NASA. All the while, we enjoyed a fabulous 4 course meal. Then it was back to the Hotel for a good night's rest so that we could get an early start at Johnson Space Center. In the morning, an excellent breakfast was provided in the Houstonian's main restaurant. We were then shuttled to the Johnson Space Center where we were met by Dave and supplied with our actual "VIP" badges which would be necessary since we would be visiting areas normally off-limits to visitors. Some of the highlights included the normal museum containing many of the actual space travel artifacts and vehicles. We visited the Neutral Buoyancy Laboratory where actual astronauts were undergoing training exercises a a massive pool containing Space Station sized structures. We visited the previously mentioned 747, undergoing preparation for a new display, on the flight-line, hosted by the responsible NASA project architect. We visited the historic control room used for the moon landing and subsequent moon missions. When we broke for lunch, I expected a museum cafeteria affair. Not for an Omega event. We were led to a private lounge area where we were treated to a first class Texas BBQ feast. During our meal, the NASA facility director dropped by to greet us and relate how important the Omega/NASA relationship was. After some free time to visit the museum we were then shuttled to the Houston Omega Boutique. I know what you're thinking, because I was too: It's payback time. I fully expected to experience a strong sales push. Was I ever wrong. There were refreshments, plenty of staff to talk and show Omega, but no sales pitch or pressure. We left for the airport in our chauffeured limousines, departing from the Boutique like old friends. Perhaps this is as it should be since it felt like they and our fellow "VIPs" were old friends. When we touched down in San Diego, a limousine was waiting for us. You know, the guy waiting in the baggage area, holding up the card with your name on it. An unforgettable even. My thanks to Nick and Danielle at the Fashion Valley Boutique for making this experience possible for us. If there was ever an example of the value beyond the product itself, when dealing with a luxury products boutique, this was it. Lisbeth was my original salesperson, giving me tons of information every time I come looking at what is in store. She is passionate about watches and gives excellent customer service. They send reminders when your warranty is about to expire so that it can be brought in and diagnosed. Complementary cleanings as well. For the past few years I had been awaiting to purchase my second Omega. My first was an Omega Seamaster 300m. Beautiful in every way, but the second had to be more unique and "Bond", but subtle. The time pieces they make are timeless and beautifully crafted, but none have caught my eye as strongly as the new Limited Edition Omega Seamaster Spectre. Only 7,007 of these stunning watches are to be made and I knew immediately I had to have it. My wife and I visited their store a bit over a week ago to look at one personally. The staff is what you would expect: professional, knowledgable and have a personal touch that makes such an occasion all the more memorable. Nick L., the gentleman who showed me the watch and explained its features really helped to make this special. The only tense moment was finding out if the watch they had on hand, I assume their only, was already spoken for. Thankfully not and I am now the very proud owner of the "Spectre". I brought my Speedmaster pre moon watch in for a cleaning today and was greeted with big smiles and a willingness to want to serve & caring that is hard to find in this day and age. When I came back today I picked up my watch and was immediately seated in a private area and they got me some cold water. I was low on my cell charge and was even given an iphone charger to help charge my phone while I waited for Irinia to tell me more about how the cleaning went and to help me understand the history of my watch. Beautiful boutique to showcase Omega watches. I recently purchased an Aqua Terra 8500 and stopped by the boutique twice to have it sized. The first time the gentleman sized it 3 times to try to get the right size (too big, too big, then decent fit). It felt good, but after wearing it a week I felt it could be a little more snug so I went back to swap a full link for a half link and then it was perfect. The staff is friendly and not too sales-pitchy at all. The first time I went in there I felt a bit nervous because I figured it would be like walking onto a car dealership, but it was not like that at all. They will gladly let you try on the various models and answer any questions you might have. Also I had the impression only well-to-do watch enthusiasts would patronize the store, but the time I spent in there while waiting for sizing proved that all sorts of people come in and they were all treated with respect by the staff. read more
