We had a truly great meal here. We ordered the lobster bisque to start; it was absolutely delicious-the best we've had in ages! Our entrees were chicken Marsala & chicken pomadoro. Both had a nice assortment of fresh veggies & expertly prepared sauces. My husband substituted gnocchi since he eats gluten-free. You are encouraged to order to taste which beats the heck out of any chain restaurant. For dessert we shared yummy lemon marscarpone cake. It was melt.in-your-mouth delicious! This was our fifth trip to this restaurant. They have, by far, the best Italian food in the Columbus area. Chef Z makes everything from scratch and you cannot go wrong with anything. The prices are really low compared to most fancy smancy Italian restaurants. One thing we have learned is that, if Chef Z recommends something- go with it. WOW! We are so thrilled to have finally discovered Omezzo. We showed our appreciation from the lobster ravioli appetizer (that sauce!) to the lasagna (fantastic) and Pasta Omezzo (wonderful heat without being overly spiced), ending with slices of lemon cake and chocolate cake (still dreaming of both). This place is a Pickerington GEM!! My husband and I tried this place on Sunday June 9. The service was absolutely amazing, very friendly staff!! The food was incredible. My husband got the Chicken Parmesan Pasta, and I got the Chicken Alfredo with Angel Hair Pasta, Both were absolutely delicious!! I asked to try a meatball since they are made fresh and they were so accommodating about it, and yes it was also very yummy!!! You can tell everything is made fresh in everything we tried that night. I also got a piece of tiramisu to take home with me, and even though I was sooooo stuffed from dinner I couldn't wait long before trying it and of course as expected this was also melt in my mouth incredible!! Needless to say we will be back often, it is my favorite Italian place I have tried in Columbus and I hope it does well. I think we will be back tomorrow to try the Pizza read more

As a Pickerington local I had seen this new restaurant and had recently heard an ad on the radio so my husband and I went. We had the bruschetta as an appetizer and it was really good, however, a bit over priced, $5 for two slices. We also decided to get entrees to share. We got the Chicken Diavlo and Chicken Marsala. Both meals were fairly bland and just average. I did add the Wedding soup to my meal and really enjoyed that. In all we weren't very impressed with it. The restaurant is very plain and service was pretty slow as we were only one of three tables there. I will say the staff was very friendly. I unfortunately do not see us returning but wish them the best of luck! read more

Consistency is key in a business like this one, and they're doing a great job. I just had another great dinner there tonight, and in talking to the owners I learned more about them. They have won the "Taste of Pickerington" two years in a row now...not bad for a business that's only been open for 22 months. The tiramisu is wonderful, do try it if you have any room after your meal. I tried the Meatballs tonight, which are made fresh when they are ordered, and baked. They're fresh, never frozen, and made with the care and love your old Italian grandmother would have. The baked ziti my girlfriend ordered was equally wonderful. Chef Z makes everything fresh, which takes a touch longer, but not enough to notice when having good conversation and enjoying yourself....which you'll do here. Every time I come to Omezzo or recommend it to someone else I feel nervous because I think that the amazing times I've eaten there must be just a fluke and that at any moment my now high-expectations of this restaurant are going to be dismissed. Well tonight I brought my whole family for my mothers birthday, and no one else had eaten here before except for me, but all eight people who were with me agreed that it was the best Italian they've had in a long time. The owner, who was also our waiter and entertainment for the night, is just awesome and the food is spectacular. I know the east side of Columbus doesn't offer many great non-chain restaurants but this one surpasses most restaurants in the whole Columbus area. I'm a vegetarian but every time he has made me some awesome selections that aren't on the menu and everyone of my family agreed that everything tasted so homemade and made with love. Great wine bottle specials, and for food we had lasagna, seafood pasta, butternut squash ravioli, cheese ziti, chicken Parmesan, ... Everyone was happy. This place was great!!!! Can't believe we've never tried it before. We had the chopped salad, very simple yet delicious! We also tried the margherita pizza it was very fresh and delicious. My boyfriend and I just moved to Pickerington a few weeks ago, and tried Omezzo tonight for the first time. We were absolutely blown away, not only by the INCREDIBLE food.. But also by the wonderful family that runs the entire place. The chef/owner was at our table a handful of times, pouring our wine and talking with us. The entire staff treated us like family. Wow! Talk a bout a hidden gem. I didn't realize there was such a nice, little restaurant serving authentic Italian dishes, so close to home. Yeah, there's always Scali and O.G., but this place is great. Its a small, nice restaurant, hidden in a strip mall. The owner and staff is friendly and the food is fantastic. I had been wanting to try Omezzo for awhile so last night after the movies with our 15 & 5 year old daughters my husband and I decided to give it a try. This place totally confused me. The menu appears upscale and it's fairly pricey so when I saw the two TV's up in the corners with CNN on them I was a little surprised. The room is lighted properly and the decor is of a nice, quiet traditional Italian place but the TV's are tacky. I ordered a glass of wine and immediately regretted it, the only chardonnay on the menu tasted like it came out of a box, very cheap and poor tasting wine. It was no better when I switched it to the pinot grigio. I looked up the wine, Vista Point, $5 a bottle low end wine and charging $6 a glass for it. The waitress kept asking me if I wanted a moscato or riesling even after I said I didn't want anything sweet. She had no wine knowledge. I ordered the Omezzo pasta and my husband ordered the chicken penne carbonara, both of those dishes were middle of the road, I had to ask for extra bread because my sauce was so runny that I needed something to sop it up with. His dish was $17.50 and mine was $17.00, not worth it. The chicken was slightly chewy like it had been heated up in a microwave. Our daughters both ordered spaghetti and meatballs, $15 for a plate of bland spaghetti sauce and 2 mid sized meatballs. Our 5 year old had the child's portion at $6 with one meatball but it came out to her so hot that she couldn't even touch the plate for 10 minutes. She didn't eat because she was fixated on the TV's that were airing footage of the fires in California, she kept asking why all of the houses were burning down, it was upsetting to her. Why does this place have TV's up in the corners? For the prices they are charging they definitely need to up their game. None of the entrees came with salad or soup like most Italian places.. $88 later and it's still bothering me this morning. The wait staff was friendly. read more

Epic fail, sorry to say. I had heard about this place from a radio review the day before. They liked it and suggested it. It was time we did. We (Me, wife & daughter) walked in. Walked into a large entry way with no sign about seating yourself or not. Not wanting to feel like a naked person standing in public and since no one that worked there acknowledged us, we sat ourselves in the back room. This was not a pleasant feeling since it felt cheap with no ambiance. I grabbed menus when one of the workers asked if we were the ones that just came in. We sat for about 10 minutes when a table in front opened up. We went up there and sat, one worker got us drinks (no hot tea available). We sat & sat, must have been another 10 minutes, we knew this was going to be bad. No one ever came out to take our order. 2 of the ladies working there kept coming out and taking count of the dining room, they were overwhelmed. They were trying to figure out checks, who had ordered, etc. I could tell most of the other patrons were not having a good experience. I laid $4 on the table for the 2 drinks we had and one water and left. My wife told them we were leaving and they told her they are too busy to wait on us right away. The place does not look real good any way. They had a cardboard wall hiding the kitchen, no real nice looking décor. It was just uncomfortable. We will not be back. read more

First visit and was very impressed with the food. We split the mozzerella and caprese appetizer which was divine. Very fresh and perfect amount of balsamic glaze. Pepperoni and mushroom pizza was great. Crust was crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside. We will definitely be back! read more
