Really disappointed and it's rare if I don't like something enough to give it a bad review. Went here for dinner tonight, party of 2. To start off, the iced green tea was not good at all and no amount of sugar would fix it. We ordered the omiza spicy soup which was good and the dynamite calamari for appetizers. The menu said the dynamite calamari was gluten free and I'm starting to question if it actually is since I am gluten intolerant and now do not feel well. Our main entrees took 45 minutes to come out and were cold. We ordered the shrimp and scallop teriyaki as well as the chicken bulgolgi bento. The meat dumplings that came with the bento were average. The vegetables that came with the shrimp and scallops were under cooked. Our waiter apologized and appreciated us waiting (we did not complain), but we did see him walking around, talking to a friend, drinking a protein shake and he also kept taking off his hat and scratching his head which I didn't love...So even though I appreciated the apology I don't believe it was because the restaurant was overly busy, it was just because the waiter wasn't great. safe to say we won't be back... read more

First time here and it won't be the last. From the moment we sat down the experience was wonderful. Our waitress Olivia was very attentive and welcoming, we came in on Christmas just as they reopened. We ordered several small plates to share and a couple of drinks to start off and our food took no more than 10 minutes to come out, every dish was fresh and delicious. The Korean wings were my favorite, the dumplings were fresh and the Pork belly Bao buns were amazing. We ordered our main dishes and Olivia had it timed perfectly once we were finished with our small plates. Every dish was freshly made and delicious, we enjoyed our time and will definitely recommend anyone looking for a reasonably priced delicious meal with great staff and service to try Omiza. read more

Do not go here if you need gluten free! The menu online shows much of the menu as GF. But when we sat at the table we noticed one of the menus had the 'GF' whited out. Then we noticed the other menus had GF scribbled out lightly. When we asked the waitress we were told only the sushi bowls were gf. Waitress did go back and talk to the cook who said a few other items were also GF but I was not confident and we ended up leaving without eating. Amazing food!! I only ordered takeout from here a couple times and never been disappointed! The sushi is always fresh and packaged neatly that none of by rolls comes undone (even my Ikura sushi with quail egg). I love how they place a foil under the noodles so it's easy for me to take it out of the container and transport it on to a plate. I love their pad Thai and fried rice because the their noodle doesn't get gross and soggy and the fried rice is never overcooked. Now, as for as the service, it can be frustrating when hearing the busy ringtone when trying to order take out but...what do you expect? So let me start this off by saying I am a huge supporter of small businesses and love recommending restaurants to friends around the area to support. We will never support Omiza and will make sure others don't deal with the same crap we dealt with. This experience wasn't just disappointing, but was an absolute disgrace. This is the worst time I have had going out since before Covid started. Here we go: Had reservations and sat in a rather secluded area by the bar, but that was fine. Our waiter seemed nice and was a younger teen so I don't want to bash him too much. However, it was clear he wasn't properly trained as that falls on ownership. So we received our soups except my son who never was asked if he wants soup or salad with his entree. We also had to ask for forks for the kids. So we received their Shumai. Had to flag someone down for plates as we had already asked our waiter for the forks. Forks never came until after they just ate it with their hands. Additionally we had to ask continuously for water refills and napkins. Each time we felt like we were inconveniencing our waiter. Finally my son's entree comes along with my wife's steamed vegetables she got and the fried rice for the table, which tasted rather over cooked and too much oil. No sushi rolls for us, no tuna pizza for my daughter and her Bao Buns weren't there yet. Fried rice was gone quick cause we were hungry. Another 20 minutes goes by and my son is close to finished. We finally get our sushi rolls which they put my wife's roll on my plate with my sushi. Really she can't even get her own plate? Waiter is annoyed and hands her a small plate to put it on with a dish for soy sauce. Only problem. No side if wasabi, ginger or soy sauce at the table. My daughter at least got her own plate for the tuna pizza. How generous. So after my wife got her soy sauce after another 10 minutes we were almost done EXCEPT my daughter's bao buns which were given to someone else!!!!! No apology and we waited for them cause she was hungry. My kids wanted the Mochi dessert, but we found a different place cause we weren't waiting 30 minutes for that. We get our bill and I still tipped our waiter over 20% cause that's just what you do. This place is a disgrace. DO NOT EAT HERE. Food isn't bad, but it's clear they do not care about their customers. They do not train their staff. I'm very angry I spent over $200 here last night and not one single apology or anything discounted or taken away on the menu. Served with Ban Chan: lettuce for wraps, fermented bean paste, sticky rice, fermented asst:(kimchi, radish and cucumbers), 2 diff bowls of salad like toppings. They give you a big hunk of ribeye fat to oil the grill. Great idea. This was extremely upscale Korean BBQ! One of the best! Came on a Wednesday night and sat at the bar. What a nice clean restaurant, and the bartender was super friendly! We had a nice conversation while I ordered a delicious craft brew, then I decided to try the KFC wings and WOW!! It's not something I say lightly, I consider myself a wing connoisseur, but these were definitely the BEST wings I have ever had. The flavor was incredible with a bit of heat, and the outside was crisped PERFECTLY while the meat was tender and juicy. I'm not kidding, these were the GOAT. For my dinner meal I ordered the bento box and again, it was so delicious and filling. I love being able to try a few different things at a new restaurant, so this was perfect. This place is new and I am new to this area too. I just figured to explore but I found this nice place on yep as new and hot. Place is nicely decorated and it has two sides, one is Japanese style and other one is for Korean bbq on the table. I went there with my daughter for lunch, ordered sushi and sashimi special, sushi was just ok, but sashimi was fresh and thick slice which I only expect this kind of food in NY or NJ. It was too good, salmon was the best. No lunch menu and no soft crab but still recommend highly. I will definitely come again soon. Second visit, I went there again with my family but it was evening for dinner. It was little bit busier than lunch and servers aren't that prompt to notice to bring the appetizer on time and also missed my salad that comes with dinner menu. Beware there is no sushi/sashimi boat for big party as four of us, so we have to order all individual dishes. It's little mixed feeling here. read more
