I have ordered in the past and was happy with the food. Friday I ordered almost 50.00 in food for 3 items. Steak and chicken teriyaki. Chicken was good but steak was Chewy and tough. Scallions pancake was just ok. The orange chicken was a huge disappointment. It tasted old. There was no crunch to the outside. I ordered late after 8 so I am not sure if that was the reason? I recently had a very bad experience with manager of China Garden. Food we recieved was not even edible is was so bad. Brought issue to manager who so rudely said I am not doing anything about this. Only I-2 bites were eaten.I stated I've been coming here for 40 years and you are not willing to do anything about this? She said No. I said I will never come back if that's the case. My husband and I stopped in for dinner and ordered two egg rolls and a bowl of wonton soup, which was the best we've ever had. We also tried the Chinese delight and cashew chicken, both of which were incredibly delicious. The ambiance was warm, clean, and friendly. The deco of this restaurant is what initially attracted me, a very traditional Chinese deco. The service was good, though the person who took my order was not too fluent on English. I ordered a fried noodle and a wonton soup. The soup was mediocre but the wonton skin was rather thick and rather tough. The fried noodles is good, and really nice. read more

Who doesn't love this place? It is a WG staple, been there as long as I can remember. I grew up down the street in the 80s and my family used to eat here and order takeout from here ALL the time. The staff has always been friendly. The food has always been delicious, and prices are reasonable. They have a decent menu too. When I first tried this restaurant some time ago, I wasn't completely satisfied with the food. Still, I decided to give it another chance since my office and I were craving Chinese food. Unfortunately, this experience was even worse. While the food was prepared quickly, it didn't taste good, and several of my coworkers felt sick after eating. Additionally, we were not informed that the shrimp egg rolls contained pork, which was disappointing and misleading, especially since many people, myself included, avoid pork. At any other restaurant I've been to, if a menu item contained pork, I was informed about it. For this restaurant to list "shrimp egg rolls" on the menu without mentioning they contain pork is completely unacceptable. It should be clearly stated on the menu that the shrimp egg rolls include pork. Any other time I've ordered shrimp fried rice or shrimp egg rolls from other places, it's always been just shrimp--without any bits or pieces of pork. When I called the restaurant to request a partial refund after spending nearly $100, I was told I had to bring the egg rolls back. I explained that the employees had taken bites before tossing them out, but the person on the phone insisted on seeing the egg rolls first to consider a refund. When I pointed out that it was unsanitary to ask customers to return partially eaten food, she hung up on me. I would definitely not recommend this restaurant, and if I could give it zero out of five stars, I would due to the customer service, misleading information, and the disrespect when I called and told them what was going on. read more

Was in the area looking for some Chinese cuisine. Had some time to kill, so I stopped in and ordered some dishes one at a time. The food was very tasty, the service was ok. I had 4-5 servers checking in and bringing food and drink at different times. The price was absolutely fantastic! My total was less than $19 not including a tip. Only reason for a 4-star instead of 5-star: The booth seating was very old and rickety - a little bit off balance which was somewhat annoying. Extremely Disappointed! I ordered chicken wings and they were crispy on the outside and reddish and slimy with broken bones in the inside. The shape of one flat wing didn't look like a chicken wing. Not sure what those "chickens" went through but with all the broken bones they must have fought for their lives to not get caught and fried. Poor "chicken". They used to be so good. I don't know what happened. This was the worst!! Fried dumplings wrapped in a way too thick gummy noodle. There was hardly and filling. Just horrible! The wonton soup was tasteless. Over cooked wonton noodle. Floating lettuce in the soup. Very yellow soup that looked like pee. The little bag of crispy noodles was stale. I am terribly disappointed. This place is the worse will never ever ever eve eve eve order food from here again. So let's start off with the order, trying to decide and all we kept on hearing is ready to order. We are ready when we, say we are. Rushing us, she kept on saying things we didn't order. So we ordered a strawberry margarita. No salt or sugar on the rim and to top it off was not even shaken. Why you may ask cause we pointed out there was no strawberry flavor. So she put in strawberry syrup... what!!!!! Waited for our food which took a while not a problem there. But what took the cake asked for vegetables and broccoli in the lo mein there was only broccoli asked for 2 dumpling sauces which was charged us for. So when I asked for them the guy pointed out it was in the bottom of the box which was my bad for not taking all the food out to see it buried. Who put condiments under the food, super unprofessional. And to top it off the lady got upset that she had to supply it seems that way cause she tossed the sauce on the counter with annoyance. Which made no sense since we spent over $50. And the kicker is when we got home the food tasted burnt which we asked not to over cook the food. Lemon chicken is a dessert it seems. Lemon jam??????? Nasty as hell. Dumplings is like they got them from Costco horrible. My advice fire the cooks and close up shop. It's time to reorganize and work on service and food. No wonder the bathrooms are clean the place is empty for a reason. And who gave a good review you must eat horrible tasting foods. Cause this place is trash. I grew up in Abington and used to make a career out of shopping at the Willow Grove Mall, and yet I had never been to this restaurant. My aunt and I stopped in one afternoon for a late lunch. We were almost the only table in the place and I was stunned by the rich decor and Chinese feel of the place. Our waiter was proficient and quickly served up our fried dumplings (amazing, best thing we ordered) and my chicken with cashews, which had the exact right brown sauce and crispy veggies. This is standard Chinese food. I can't speak to service in the restaurant as we've only gotten takeout. My husband and I like getting the combination platters because they come with so much food--enough for two meals (or just one if you're really hungry). I can never finish mine in one sitting though. There are 11 entree choices in the combo platters and they all come with your choice of wonton, egg drop or hot & sour soup, as well as an egg roll and fried rice.
