I'm pretty chill and forgiving when it comes to employees having a bad day but the lady at this dry cleaner was on another level. She doesn't usually assist customers, she works in the back and the manager guy who handles the cash register usually deals with taking your drop off. But I guess they were busy and she was the pinch hitter? She starts by visibly grimacing at my clothes (like, what?) and then muttering under her breath about something, shooting daggers at me. I have never interacted with this lady before, mind you. I asked her if everything was alright and she says, "No, it's not alright!". I tried showing her where the stain was she said, "It doesn't matter." Kept tsk tsking and sighing audibly. Creeped me out. I had been an on and off customer here for a bit. This establishment shrunk my pants (from a matching suit, so I had to chase new matching ones) and after acknowledging they shrank, tried to convince me that they could not shrink that much from dry cleaning alone, after I picked them up from them last week. they even tried to only imply I washed them. Should have trusted the bad reviews. Brought 2 jackets for simple re-stitching and one large stroller cover in for dry cleaning. The stitching was so poor so I could tell as soon as I picked it up - feathers popping out and threads loose. When I raised it to the guy at the register he instantly got defensive and said of course feathers will be sticking out if you poke a hole. Um.. hello isn't it part of the job to make sure those things are neatly tucked away? And the dry cleaned stroller cover smells awful, will need to take it in again somewhere else. And the service quality is bad, I sent a dress for fixing, when I got it back home I found the hem got cut a very huge triangle corner, and the tailor sewed it back, so now it looks like a patch at the hem, and the overall fixing quality is very fragile. I gave them a very expensive jean jacket, and a pair of shorts to clean. When i went in to pick up the items a couple of days AFTER they said it would be done, they could not find the items. The owner did not look for the items and instead asked other employees to look for something that they had no idea what they were doing. The owner continued to take other clients even though I was standing there waiting for my clothes. After at least 20 minutes, they finally find the items. No one ever apologized and the owner was yelling back at me. I will never go there again and I don't recommend anyone else going there. read more

Great dry cleaner - super reliable. They picked up a bag of my clothes and noticed one of the pants had a rip - without any note or mention of it to them. They texted me right away prior to moving forward with the cleaning asking if I wanted the rip repaired and then the pants cleaned, or to skip it all together because the pants still had tags. I spent over $50 this past Friday to have my laundry cleaned, and I swear to God, my duvet cover and bath towels came back smelling like a dogs ass. These peoole do not use any softner or detergent that smells good. I really think they washed my clothes, bath towels, an duvet cover in dirty swamp water, or better yet the hudson river. All of my laundry was 100% cleaner and smelled better when I sent my laundry to be cleaned and dried. I could not put my duvet cover back on my comforter because of the stinch from this laundry place. I have lost $50 with them, but they will suffer in the end, with more loss of business. I never thought I'd give a dry cleaners 5 stars, especially one in NY, based on all of my previous experiences in trying numerous places in the other neighborhoods I've lived in. So many other places seemed to treat the clothing so carelessly, things would come back to me wrinkled (after being pressed?), or faded, or with mysterious stains on them that I know were not there when I dropped the shirt off, etc. But not here! Omni is a reasonably-priced, high-quality dry cleaner that I finally feel like I can fully trust with my clothing. The clothes come back to me looking brand new, perfectly pressed, and always in a timely fashion. Without asking them to rush, they automatically have it available for you in like 2 days (even large orders). The best part, though, that really made me love this place: I had a major mishap with a red pen and my white shirt at work. After trying to clean it up myself that day, I ended up with half of my sleeve being bright pink. The outcome looked dismal. I explained the issue to the (very friendly) man that works there and he told me he'd do his best. Well, let me tell you, you would never know that half of this sleeve was covered in ink! The shirt looks great, no discoloration, nothing. And they didn't charge me any extra for the additional work they put in to get the stain out! All in all, a great dry cleaner. Run of the mill, fungible NYC cleaners whom I patronized often until the weekend that the owners lost my suit jacket, providing me with another victim's in return. The 'replacement' was different enough from the original that it wasn't a case of poor eyesight. As such, two of their patrons got the wrong suit jacket. They then stubborbly refused to compensate me at all, denying any blame. Avoid, or at least only dry clean rags at this establishment. read more

When I lived in NY this was the only dry cleaner I ever used. They are AMAZING. I'm the type of person who of course gets stains on clothes that need to be dry cleaned and I hate when dry cleaners pretend to dry clean your clothes and give it back to you dirty. This place doesn't do that. If you have a stain (even if it's really bad), they'll get it out for no additional charge. Once, my fiance got some random stain on his dress shirt and bought it to the dry cleaners in his building. They of course ignored the stain and returned it back to him. I then bought the shirt to Omni and they were able to get the stain out! (And this stain had been on the shirt for quite a long time). They had to use extra chemicals but it came out in the end. I was a new laundry customer and asked them to pick my clothes from my building which they did and promised to (a) return it in 2 days and (b) automatically charge my card for the transaction. Seemed like a good deal except that today is the 4th day and I still havent received my clothes AND the guy on the phone told me that they have a minimum on the credit card charges. I have now been instructed to goto the shop, pay in advance and only then will they deliver my clothes. Right way to treat a first time customer? You decide. Worst experience I have ever had in any type of service for anything ever. I brought in a suit and the attendee told me I had a stain that they couldn't remove. I asked what stain because I didn't bring it with stain. They laughed and said "Ya ok." I told them please do not mock me or accuse me of anything. That is questioning integrity. Boy does it hurt to write this review!! After 10 years as a loyal customer I recently had to stop dealing with Omni. As always, I brought in my custom made dress shirts to them. They literally destroyed 6 of them and at $250 a piece I was a little more than upset. They basically told me they weren't willing to anything to help correct the damage they did. I am not writing this review about the dry cleaning at Omni cleaners I am writing it about the tailor they have working there. He is awesome. I finally feel as if I have met a tailor, outside of Saks or Barneys, who understands clothes and their construction and can make them fit your body perfectly. He took a tuxedo jacket I purchased at the Barneys Warehouse Sale that sold for $1200.00. I paid $99 for it and knew Omni would make it fit just it. They did and it does! He also took a french cuff shirt and made it into a traditional sleeve and you would not know the difference. He is great. Period. read more

Disappointed customer. I've been coming here for a year. Cleaning is good. Pricing is a little high. But it was convenient for me, so I went. I even overlooked their ridiculous credit card minimum of $20. But today I severed ties after they wanted to charge me $50 to cut and put a simple stitch on two half panel curtains. I even told them nothing fancy because it's a temporary fix until new curtains arrive. No budge. So much for treating your good customers well!! I'm so sick of this goddamn place. I've did business with them over 8 years. They always lose socks. Have lost my adidas gym shorts before. And today my gym jogging pants the string is missing and I always make sure I tie a tight bow so it doesn't come out. Now they aren't any good bc they won't stay on me without tying the bow around the waist. They never take responsibility for loosing or damaging anything! I'm so sick of this. Unprofessional!!!
