Dr. Dunn is great here, very thorough examination and cares about his patients! However, I've been going here for 4 years and every single time I go to an appt they tell me that I don't have eye insurance (but I most definitely do...) so then we have to call my insurance provider and spend an hour trying to get omni to just accept the fact that I have insurance. Eventually it becomes clear and they take the insurance. I understand this happening once, but EVERY SINGLE YEAR is ridiculous. It has become increasingly frustrating over the years and I've finally decided to go elsewhere. read more

Billing department is a mess. Long story but after a miscommunication and confusing we were sent to collections after being told they wouldn't do it. They basically were threatening and hostile towards us and it was a complete mistake. We literally apologized! Oh and it was a for a bill that was less than $50.00! Just be careful to get everything in writing before they provide any care to you. read more

My husband and brother had an appointment today and one employee treated my brother who is in a wheelchair terrible. My 16 yr old son helped my husband by pushing his uncle to the office where his appointment was and sat quietly while my husband was in his appointment. The lady didn't tell my brother that she was putting eye drops in eyes to dilate them. She made fun of my brother and son in front of my husband and the eye dr while my husband was being treated. My son helped push my brother to the bathroom where he slipped and fell because he couldn't see. My brother split his nose and face due to the fall. The same lady threw her arms in the air and smiled saying now look what you did to my son. Very unprofessional and I'm livid. I want an apology from that lady. read more

Came here for an exam and glasses. My exam went well, had a small wait before win seen. I declined the retinal scab but they said they would like to do it anyways at no charge. When it came time to pay, they were going to charge me for the retinal exam. Their glasses selection was pretty good, not as good as some of my previous drs offices. Turn around time for my glasses was 7-10 days. After two weeks I had to call to check on them. Apparently they had been there for a few days but no one called. Once I started using my glasses and going through the typical adjustment period (even though it was the same prescription as my contacts) I realized something wasn't right with my glasses. I had upgraded to single vision lens but it doesn't seem like they are. My vision is only clear in the center focal spot of the lens. When looking even slightly to the sides or up/down my vision is no longer clear. I brought them in to have them checked. The dr couldn't come up with an explanation, only to just keep wearing them and hopefully adjust. One of the girls at the glasses counter took a look and also couldn't decide what's wrong. Their only suggestion was that this upgraded lens doesn't work well for me and that I should pay to have another "better" lens. This is very disappointing after I've already spent over $200 and now they want me to pay more to "hopefully" fix the situation. I've been wearing glasses for 25 years and never have had this issue. read more

I got a referral to do LASIK at Omni and I have had a positive experience from start to finish. Everyone on staff is very welcoming and nice, and my doctor, Dr. Dunn, was extremely accomodating and made sure that any questions or concerns were answered promptly. Dr. Dunn also assured me that all Lasik procedures include multiple post-op appointments to ensure the integrity of my eyes and if there were any problems that they could be addressed. Since my procedure, I have had zero problems with my sight and I'm so glad I got it done. Overall I am very happy that I decided to trust Omni with my eyes! read more

Today I went for a routine eye check up. They were quick to get me in, efficient with the tests, and thorough in their recommendations. I've been seeing Dr. Melton for my eye needs since I started wearing glasses/contacts at age 12. Always great service! I had LASIK here in 2014 and it was one of the best decisions I've ever made. The procedure was quick and painless. I felt at ease and comfortable with what was being done. My vision is still 20/15 without any corrections. Definitely recommend! read more

I love Omni Eyecare! The check-in process is very quick and efficient with the tablets. I was brought back right on time. She disinfected every machine I used with alcohol before I touched it. There was only a 5 minute wait after she put me in an examination room. Dr. Dunn is very thorough and informative when I have questions. I am so grateful they do not use that eye test that puffs the air into your eyeball! read more

I have been going to OMNI Eye for nearly 15 years. They did a LASIK that kept me fully corrected for nearly 10 of those. I love that they are family run, and they have always been willing to work with my insurance. When buying glasses, they did not try to talk me into the most expensive frames or lenses, and they did were helpful and patient in presenting all of my options. I have recommended them to friends many times. It is also a beautiful office, open and quiet, decorated with photography by Dr. Melton. read more

BEWARE OF A PRETTY FACE While surfing the net looking for an optometrist, I happened upon Omni Eye Center in Edmond. Beautiful web site. Nice, modern facilities with a number of fancy instruments. The screening exam seemed thorough and professional. Sadly, that is where the pretty façade broke down. I was examined by a Dr. Evan Dunn. After casually flipping a few lenses in front of my eyes, he made some entries in his computer and handed me a neatly printed prescription. It was WRONG. And not a little wrong, a lot wrong. When I got the lenses made I could not see a thing! And the lenses cost me nearly $250!! I returned to Omni Eye Center. After a quick review, Dr. Dunn agreed he had been a mistake. "My bad" he said as he handed me a second prescription. It too was WRONG. Fortunately, the eye glass shop had granted me a free "do over," but clearly they had to pay for the second set of lenses that went in the trash. I asked Dr. Dunn to refund the money I had spent as a result of his errors. He did refund the exam fee but not the cost of either set of lenses. I wrote him and his boss letters. Nothing. So here I am out the cost of the lenses and I don't see any better than when I went to see him. I don't recommend Omni Eye Center. read more

I just had LASIK here and I am blown away by how amazing this place is. The people here are so welcoming and attentive to everything. The procedure went wonderfully and the following appointments have been thorough. They are absolutely great and I'd recommend them over and over again if possible, truly amazing! read more

What a great (no, spectacular!) job Dr. Dunn(e?) did yesterday. I've struggled w contacts drying on my eyes for as long as I can remember. I'd take them out - sometimes even while driving because I couldn't see out of them. Or I'd only wear one. Staff said Dr. changed lens manufacturer- without informing me. had no way to tell if that was true since lens had been transferred to a generic case? never saw manufacturers packaging. The cost more than doubled - ended up spending over $440 dollars for one pair of contact lens and that was with insurance !! Do not go here! This is the first year we have use Omni for our entire family's eye care. Dr. Evan is fantastic. However, the front office staff is less than friendly or helpful. My daughter had eye issues and the desk staff was unfriendly and not helpful and not knowledgeable regarding insurance. They sold damaged boxes of contacts that they would not accept back when the contacts would not work for us. Terrible customer service. Too many other qualified eye doctors to waste your time here! read more

I tried Omni for the first time this year because it was close to my house and seemed convenient. I greatly regret this decision. The doctor was wonderful. She was pleasant, knowledgeable and helpful; however, the office staff completely ruined my experience and ensured I will NOT return. I visited in March... it is now June and I have yet to receive my contact lenses. After not one, not two, not three or four, but FIVE attempts on my part to get the issue resolved I still am empty handed. The first four attempts were answered with "we'll get back to you on this," or "the person who might know isn't here, but we will have them call you." I went three months with no follow up communication and because I missed their only attempt to contact me, my final conversation with them was full of patient blame. They told me the contacts had been ordered in March (despite the fact on the previous 4 calls I had made I had been told they weren't ordered), and that it was my responsibility to handle it from here. I did not receive understanding or proper customer service from the manager, and did not truly get an apology until after I called them out for being completely wrong and having poor customer service skills. In fact, they accused me of coming in with my husband to a recent eye appointment he had and argued that I should have handled it then. I never even came in with him. I immediately said I was never there and they had the nerve to argue that they saw me... absolutely unbelievable! I still don't have my contacts due to repeated miscommunication between both the insurance company and the office. I don't think they are completely to blame for the situation but are absolutely responsible for my poor treatment. No one has even followed up with me to check on the situation. The only people contacting me are with my insurance company. It's a shame that a business with such good physicians is represented by such a terrible, unorganized group of representatives. I even asked if there was a reason they did not take detailed notes, they simply said they COULD but don't have a system in place as of yet... which blows my mind. STAY AWAY! Optique is right down the road and I never had any issues with them. I will be making the extra drive from now on! read more

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. Worst customer service/patient experience ever. Contacts were incorrectly ordered 3 times, and following each incorrect order I was required to drop off the contacts in Edmond. When I inquired about the time frame of receiving the fourth and final order at home I was told, "Oh yeah the person that does our shipping is out of the office for a bit, and I'm not sure how that all works.
