I went last spring (2016) and explained to travel agent that I had NEVER gone on a trip out of the country and I was needing help with purchasing a vacation package for my immediate family including my mother- it was actually her birthday gift. The agent-Avelina, sold us 5 tickets and I paid cash, she never informed us that there is TWO types of passports-- a CARD and a BOOK. She made copies of what we had and gave me the print out of the tickets and said "Perfecto todo esta listo" "Perfect everything is ready" 10 months later, we get to airport and they did not let my mother board because she has the wrong passport!!!! I called the agency and their solution was, leave your mother at the airport and go without her!!! my mom is 67 years old, not fluent in English AND with no car or way to get back to her house which is an hour away from the airport. Till this day they have done nothing to get me tickets. on the contrary they want me to pay an ADDITIONAL $3,000.00 dollars for new tickets. I originally paid almost $5000.00 for the tickets, I paid hotel in Paris, hotel in Madrid and rented a car. I also paid parking for 10 days at the airport to leave my car there. Who is going to reimburse me for all the loss???? Not Excelsior, they don't even want to pay for new tickets.....when I called them to inform them of the nightmare I was going thru at the airport she began making me feel like it was my fault that my mother didn't have the proper passport. I explained to her that was the whole purpose of hiring them, so they could tell me what I needed!!! Avelina has insulted me and made me feel completely dumb. No one should ever, ever have to go through such a horrible experience. I was looking forward to this trip, it was suppose to be a once in a lifetime experience and instead it has caused so much headaches and tears.

Imagine my delight when I found a bus route that goes all around downtown Houston (conveniently taking me from my hotel to the barber shop) and best of all....it's free! The Greenlink is a downtown circulator that takes you all around the central business district. I took it from Houston Center up to Lousiana and Jefferson. Then I took it back after my haircut. The bus was clean, there was almost nobody on it and it was fast. Houston, I recommend you start using this before the funding dries up and it goes away. If you work downtown, use it to go to lunch somewhere different. The buses come very quickly (every 6-7 minutes) and it's free!

With greenlink bus, I was able to see the city and it was very great experience. Every 15-20 minutes it runs and I really like it I was going to a barber shop and took one of this Greenlink bus. and it was very easy to commute around downtown houston.

The schools they provide transportation to are; Bonner Elem., Park Place Elem., Patterson Elem., Rucker Elem., Ortiz Middle, W.I. Stevenson Middle & Chavez High School.

And so would you, if you got to date the girl I get to date. I've given a lot of good roads a 4 star rating, and I'm going to give this one the "Sam." If the tolls were cheaper, or didn't slow me down as much, or non existent, it'd be a 5 star road - easily. The Sam Houston Tollway is a great road on so many levels. It should probably have more than two lanes for when it gets backed up, but most of the time it's nice and free-flowing because it is a toll road. It's great to have a toll road skirting the whole city because it means you can get around the suburbs very quickly - way better than you ever could before it was built. It was so damn necessary. On the other hand. The tolls are a little bit steep. So poor people are not going to want to pay for this road, but people who make a lot of money can easily afford it. I don't like that very much. Still, it's very well built and it successfully got us out of Bellaire on the night when the Hurricane Harvey was coming. We should have been trapped, and we weren't. Yay Belt 8.

I have heard about B Cycle and occasionally seen the bike racks in the downtown area but never had…read morea reason to use them. This past weekend I found a reason. I rented a bike from a stand next to City Hall to ride around the Buffalo Bayou area and some parts of downtown. This was such an easy process. You go up to the kiosk and touch the screen to wake the machine up. You purchase a 24 hour pass for $5 using a credit card. Then your first 60 minutes of rental is free. You can extend the free use of the bike by checking it back in to ANY kiosk before your original 60 minute period ends and then immediately checking it back out for a new 60 minute period. In other words by paying $5 for the 24 hour pass that can be your only cost to rent a bike. If you go over your 60 minute period they charge you $2 for every extra 30 minutes. Very affordable! The bikes come with a basket on the front to stow gear. They have 3 speeds and have an adjustable seat and attached bike lock. I found the seat to be adequate in comfort. The bike lock is very handy when you stop somewhere and want to secure your bike like I did when I had lunch. The brakes and gear shifts worked well also. On the bike is listed Houston B Cycles' customer service number to call if you have any questions or maintenance issues. I recommend downloading the B Cycle app on your smartphone. The app does many things to help with your rental. Primarily, it gives you the locations of every bike rack kiosk in your city as B Cycle is located in several cities in the US. Not only does it show you where every kiosk is located, it also shows you in real time how many bikes are available at that kiosk and also how many empty stalls are open for you to return your bike to. Remember you don't have to return your bike to the kiosk you rented it from BUT you have to return your bike to a kiosk that has an empty stall. That's where the app can really be helpful. Usually every kiosk will have an empty stall for you to return your bike. I give B Cycle 5 stars because it is so easy to use and so affordable. Whether you use it for pleasure or your personal transportation needs its convenience cannot be overstated.

Stayed here for the first time and the experience was okay but nothing special…read more Checked in process was okay. Breakfast information given was little vague and not clear. Also, I was not told anything about the free WiFi, fitness room, and the pool and had to figure out about all of them on my own. Went inside the first room and there was a big size cockroach next to the bed on the floor that quickly went behind the bed wall! Of course it was shocking as hell to us and I immediately came out of the room. I know for sure that if one is there then definitely there should be more! Went downstairs and was assigned another room without any issues. I was apologized, but nothing else was offered for the inconvenience. Second room was okay and we did not see any creatures. Room did come with amenities like microwave, small fridge, and a coffee maker which were helpful specially if you have a family. There were different spots in the room like under the bathroom door where wood was chipped off and it didn't look good. Shower head and bottom faucet were old and should have been replaced. Bottom faucet flange was also not fitted all the way back to the wall and was looking cheap. The sink countertop was tilted little backwards, so all the dirty water was spooling behind the sink faucet instead of running down through the sink. No soap was provided as there was a body gel/lotion. I think soap should be provided as some (like me) prefer a soap instead of a gel, etc. Breakfast was limited and the service to replenish the items like food, plates, bowl etc., was slow and had to be pointed out for attention. I also think timing for breakfast should be extended to at least 11 AM on a daily basis instead of the current 9:30 on the weekdays and 10 on the weekends. There was a little uncomfortable smell in the lobby whenever we came out of the room and in the elevator whenever we used it. We used pool one day and there was no towel available. We had to go in the fitness room to get one. They should check both rooms within a reasonable amount of time to make sure everything is running smoothly and if something is needed or not. Their free WiFi was good but annoying to connect to as it doesn't connect automatically and you have to manually connect to it each and every time. Hotel location was good and I didn't have any issue with that. Hotel definitely need pesticide spray to make sure it is actually cleaned. Yes, I can think about staying here again and may recommend to others as well.
