Great food. Family-owned and wonderful lunches for $7.50. It's wonderful for senior citizens who frequent there. BEST crawfish around including Houston. I highly recommend it. The service may be slow, but it's worth it. It's been around a very long time and their prices are extremely reasonable. This is an update to my previous review from earlier in the summer. Unfortunately today's lunch was rather disappointing. I had a cheeseburger all the way and a side salad instead of french fries ; although my salad had a nice amount of croutons and vegetables, their house made honey mustard dressing was absolutely awful, and either had too much vinegar or not enough honey.; it was almost in edible ; it was only 1230 on a Monday afternoon and they were already out of crackers, so no crackers with my salad; , when I received my entrée, my cheeseburger was oddly cooked. It was on a hoagie bun, and the meat was well done on one side of the patty and medium on the other side so that when I bit into it, there was an actual crunch on the well done side, the hoagie roll was either stale or Cooked too much to the point that I could not eat it. When I complained to the waitress, she said it wasn't her fault that she simply wrote down the order and the chef cooked the food; at least the waitress was able to provide a fresh bottle of ketchup... apparently there was a drunk man in the bar spouting off because the entire restaurant could hear his rant. No effort by the wait staff to quiet him down. They just let him go on and on. I'm sure I will give this place another try, but I hope the wait staff can take some responsibility for the quality of the food. This waitress is pretty chatty with her customers so I'm sure that she isn't hurting for tips; if I'm served a meal like this again, her tip will be quite a bit smaller than usual. read more

Well the service is slow as noted in recent other reviews. Well maybe I should not use the term slow as it was quick for the 4 sets of customers who came in after me because the wait staff took their orders before even deciding to stop at my table. Heck even took the table next to me who was the 4th then walked away without even acknowledging my presence. I will say once I got somebody's attention they did get my food out fairly quickly once I voiced my concern. On to the food. Ordered crawfish etouffe with salad and fries. The salad was standard nothing special. The fries had some spices and what could be parmesano cheese but you could not tell by the flavor which was bland. The etouffe though was fairly tasty. Not as good as my homemade version but still not bad. Only caveat was the portion could have been about a quarter or so more. So overall fair at best however I might considering coming back to try something else...maybe read more

My wife and I had a wonderful dinner at On Deck, a nice family-run restaurant. The outside appearance isn't to write home about, but the indoors was warm, charming, and welcoming. We enjoyed a relaxing time with no blaring music or screens on the walls. Our booth was next to a clear window with pleasant view of a grassy field. Our waitress was wonderful, and helpful. I ordered blackened Mahi, and my wife had grilled salmon. Both dishes were delicious, as well as the salad and two sides that came with it. I especially enjoyed the seasoned green beans. The prices were also very reasonable. Overall a great experience, and as out-of-town visitors we were glad to have chosen On Deck! read more

Few of the servers are excellent! Just sad that they work here. Food generally gets to your table cold.... Regardless if there are a few customers or a busy night. The atmosphere is loud, due to the fact that most folks are there for cheap drinks. If you want cheap beer and food that qualifies for (it'll make ya poop), by all means this is your place. read more

All around this was just a bad experience. The interior is run down and smells. The drinks were cheap and tasted like it too. I could t finish my margarita. The we ordered calamari that was clearly not fresh and looked far too light to be fried properly. We left hungry and unsatisfied. read more

There were 2 of us there for lunch. We went in and sat down and it took about 10 minutes to get a glass of water and a menu. Another 15 minutes for the waitress to take our order and then one hour to get our food. The food was good but not worth an hour and 1/2 wait. read more

Great home style food cooked by the family owners. It's a popular lunch spot for the locals, and we have visited for dinner several times. It doesn't have great curb appeal or sophisticated ambiance, and can be a bit inconsistent on the service, but the food is delicious! We had chicken fried steak, grilled salmon dinner, fried shrimp and will go back for more! There is a full separate bar with TV for sports fans. read more

came to this restaurant looking for good food, left with empty stomachs and ruined appetites. the wait time in between ordering and getting food was long and when my burger arrived i took one bite and the meat was more than well done, it was crunchy. our waiter chris was very understanding and that's the best thing i have to say about the whole place. the manager came over and was absolutely rude when i said my burger was crunchy and that my friend's crab claws came to the table cold and had NO meat in them. the manager's personal handling of our table was about as tasteless as the food and not representative of good customer service. the place had promise before she deadened the vibe of the whole place. unfortunately, we will not be returning. read more

Shrimp Po' Boy was really good, but that was the only highlight here. Staff was slow and the food took forever, over 35 minutes for a Po Boy. I don't mind waiting for fresh, but that's extremely long time for a sandwich. Waitress said "I thought I saw them putting it together" then proceeded to take orders, deliver other food, take dirty plates, and stop by bar area where staff hangs out. With an update on the place, speeding up food, and tightening up the staff, this could be a really great place. read more

I'd give it zero stars if I could. Walked in at 8:15 on a Friday place did smell good and people seemed happy. Stood at the front door for 3-4 minutes before we saw the small note to seat ourselves. So we sat down and waited...and waited...and waited. Waitress was busy with a 8 top right next to us so we get she was busy but fouR times she came by and ignored us. She looked right at me and kept walking. I dont demand service but would have been happy with a "hey Im really busy right now give me some time". Nothing so we left at 8:29. Sad part is we eat out 3-4 days a week and are 25-35% tippers. Their loss. Went to Sealand instead. read more

Great value, great home made food!! Best chicken fried steak!! Chicken strips, hamburger steak, fried shrimp, grilled mahi, chicken wings, salads, broccoli and baked potato are some of our many favorites!! Haven't had anything we didn't love. Wow this place blew me out of the water! I went with my family and we tried this place on a whim. Service was kinda slow but so worth it. Food was amazing. They started us off with some great bread and drinks. For the entire I have tried the shrimp po-boy, catfish Po-boy, and the shrimp pasta all amazing. To finish everything off the bill was very reasonable and that's hard for a family of four. I am beyond pleased and will be back again and again. read more
