Our group of 4 truly enjoyed both the atmosphere and our food. We tried the chips with guacamole and queao, southern red beans and rice, the fried rice, the birria tacos, and the golden tacos. Every dish was delightful. We also enjoyed our cocktails. The laid back Sunday evening vibe was wonderful. The staff was friendly and our server Jayden was such a pleasant young man. We will definitely go back again.

July 3rd and we get a craving for Mexican. Two different Mexican restaurants we like crapped out…read moreclosing early with the upcoming holiday so we search Yelp and find Yevette's gourmet Tacos, which is a food truck. Yevette's location was only 5 minutes away from the restaurant we went to but it was unannouncingly closed, so we gave her a shot after seeing her 5-star reviews. Her trick was open, and her menu is very basic but we were pleasantly surprised with how good her food is. My wife got soft shell, I got hard shell and we loved her taco's and will be back. Options were beef, turkey, or collared greens vegetarian taco's. If you are in the mood for food truck taco's you will not be disappointed. I added just a touch of salt to mine but we both thought her meat was wonderfully seasoned, and her hard and soft home made shells were delicious. Try her! You won't be disappointed!

Uh oh, there's a new taco truck in town…read more I knew there was another food truck roaming around town, but hadn't had a chance to try it out until recently. I was downtown and spotted Yevette's parked downtown on Saginaw Street and decided to gamble and give it a chance. Ultimately, the gamble was worth it. When I walked up to the truck, the line seemed kinda long, but it moved pretty quickly. The owner (Yevette, no doubt), was friendly and polite. I ordered the loaded nachos without meat and before I could think twice about it, I had a takeout box featuring some very tasty nachos, piled high with sour cream, cheese, guacamole, zesty salsa, and fresh veggies. I might add, the tortilla chips were incredible. I don't know what they're doing to get those babies to taste like that, but whatever it is, I'd say it's working. In other words, don't stop doing what you're doing! They were slightly oily, salty and baked to perfection. I think I might have found the Holy Grail of tortilla chips. Hands down, those chips were a winner. Aside from tacos, nachos and other Mexican staples, they sell treats like elephant ears, sodas and the like, too. Prices were a tad higher than I would've thought, but not bad. The nachos came in a variety of sizes and the smallest order was $6, according to the menu board. Still, the quality is there, so paying a but extra wasn't much of a problem. I could see how some people might take issue with some of the prices, but I thought the food was reasonably priced for the market. The big gimmick surrounding this taco truck is the truck itself. Yevette's is housed in a restored Titan motor home from the seventies. Yep, those old RVs of yesteryear. At the very least, it's a conversation piece. I asked Yevette how old the RV dated back to, she replied that it was around 1973. Wow, kudos to her and her staff for keeping that thing roadworthy. There's always room for another food truck downtown. Variety is the spice of life, anyway. So, if you see an old Titan motor home tooling around downtown Flint, chances are that some delicious tacos will be close behind.

Had to wait for it to be opened. Food was supposed to be a steak "burrito" and a chicken quesadilla. Nothing else on the hard and cold flour tortillas. Chicken quesadilla cheese so orange and synthetic looking, didn't even try it. Disappointed and will not be back. No where even close to eutheti

The food was fresh, flavorful, and hit all the right notes with that authentic Mexican taste you don't always find. Portions were huge, so we had plenty left over, and the prices felt more than fair. The staff was super friendly, got the order ready fast, and the place has that classic, no frills neighborhood feel I like. I'm not even from Flint but I'll definitely be stopping back every time I'm in the area. Solid spot, highly recommend if you're craving good Mexican. Will be a repeat customer for sure!

Home-style Mexican food!…read more This is good, authentic Mexican food, made with love and infused with a little bit of flair. It's so nice to have good Mexican food at the Flint Farmer's Market. Their chips are homemade and the salsa is awesome. Vegetarian loaded nachos are ridiculously good, made to order, with super fresh ingredients. Whichever veggies you want on your nachos, you'll get and whichever ones you don't want, they'll leave off for you. The tortilla chips are a bit greasy, but not overly so. It's not like you'll double over in GI distress afterwards! Besides, I like my chips a little oily, with just the right amount of salt. These aren't of the dry and flat ilk, but have a little zest to them instead. They also sell my husband's favorite line of seltzer water, which he can't find anywhere else around town, so that's a big plus in my book. He's always going on about that specific type of seltzer water, so even if I'm not stopping in for food, I still need to grab some of that seltzer water just to appease him. The price is right, too, with two people easily dining together for just $10. There's also a small line of grocery items, featuring rices, seasonings, spices, tortilla chips, salsa, and more available as well, with decent prices on most everything.

Honestly, I don't think I've ever had a taco with radishes before and it seems an unlikely choice for a taco, but it was surprisingly good . Updated Review - Jan. 2026…read more "From DoorDash Disappointment to In-Person Perfection!" I'm updating my previous review because one of the owners, Christina, personally reached out to me after my initial experience. She invited me back to try a pickup order, and I am so impressed by a business owner who truly stands behind her product. My first experience via DoorDash was expensive and underwhelming, but this visit was a total 180! The Vibe & Service - the shop has a great "street" decor vibe with a heartwarming touch, lots of family photos on the wall. Huge shoutout to Brianna, who handled my follow-up visit with excellent customer service; she was knowledgeable, friendly, and went above and beyond! The Food & Value - everything was fast, fresh, and high-quality. I highly recommend the Tuesday Specials: 5 ground beef tacos for $10 or 3 barbacoa for $10. Tacos: Fried "Flint-style" with a perfect meat-to-shell ratio. The meat is NOT greasy (no dripping down your arm!), which is a huge plus. We season very aggressively at home, so for my personal taste, I think the meat could have used just a bit more seasoning, but I think they are likely playing it safe to satisfy the masses and rightfully so. Either way, they were still really good and I'd definitely eat them again! The Egg Rolls: They offer Flint-style and BBQ Chicken, but the Southwest Chicken Egg Roll was my favorite, super crunchy and spicy with nicely shredded chicken inside. Chicken Wings: Perfect size and very tasty. I hate a big chicken leg or flat bone. Haha. Dessert: They make Banana Pudding fresh, and it is the perfect sweet finish to the meal. The red velvet cheesecake is also a must try. Pro-Tips for Ordering: Order Direct: Skip DoorDash to avoid the premium prices. Use Great Lakes Eatz & Treatz online ordering and they'll send you a text message when it's ready. You will also get this ordering at the counter. Local Roots: Support this family business! They ran a food truck for 2 years before opening this spot, and they also offer catering. Support small businesses. Convenience: Located in a plaza with a convenience store so you can grab a pop or snacks while you wait. I'm officially a regular now... especially since I live just 2 miles away. Thank you, Christina and Brianna, for the fantastic service and delicious meal! See you again soon.
