Love it. I really like their thin crust pizza and breadsticks. Very tasty and the price is right. It definitely is easy on the budget when dining out with the family. Service was good, prices were on point, menu and bar options appeared plentiful. Like I said, the pizza had terrific crust and nice, tangy but not too spicy pizza sauce. Had dinner last night, party of 5. My sister and I had the salmon and it was very nice. My brother ordered the $40 filet. It had to be the toughest piece of steak any of us ever had. The steak knife wouldn't go through it. The waitress first stated that she was sorry and she would tell the mgr. She never told us his response so I asked. She says he apologized, it was cooked wrong and he went back to the kitchen to instruct them. I asked if my brother was stuck with this horrific piece of meat. Again, she apologized. I then asked her to tell her manager that I would be writing a review and she came back with a ten dollar bill and a bag of bread. So he spent $30 on a steak he sent back with less than half eaten. I suspect most of the food there is decent. My advice is don't order the steaks as they are not steak people. And they don't stand behind inferior meals. read more

But then, despite 2 different servers working the patio, NO ONE spoke to us in the 15 or so mins we sat there. And we were the closest occupied table to the door. Let's start at the beginning, got our drinks right away then waitress disappeared so I decided to place a togo order. I ordered a Stromboli and was overcharged $6 for toppings when the menu stated it comes with 3. The cashier did not want to allow me to speak with the owner. He didn't want to come from the back either. He finally stops hiding and acted dumbfounded like he couldn't understand his own menu and said he didn't know what the cashier was doing ‍ Cashier refunded me $10 instead of 6 using a calculator and I didn't argue. That's a lesson she will have to learn when her till is short. The school system needs to do better too! She was also rude handing me my food. Stromboli itself was decent. Raw veggies on the inside and the top had black marks from the stove but tasted good for the most part. It was 2 small pieces so not worth $24 I initially paid. Horrible experience as a first time dine in guest. I never spoke to our waitress again after we got our drinks if that wasn't clear. Definitely won't go back or recommend this place to anyone. I've been to Fenton House before and used to really enjoy it, but after their recent changes, the entire menu has gone downhill. Our pizza was doughy, undercooked, and just plain unpleasant -- it tasted more like raw dough than an actual pizza. The calamari was absolutely terrible, tough and flavorless, which was really disappointing considering it used to be one of our favorites. It's honestly the first time we've ever wanted to just get up and leave a restaurant. The only okay part was our server was good which we appreciated. But overall, the food has gone from great to almost inedible. We paid and left without eating anything besides bread. read more

My granddaughter and I stopped in for lunch Friday afternoon and we are so glad we did. A large (40+) group was having a luncheon there and just arriving and getting settled. We were prepared to wait for someone to take our order but that wasn't necessary. Service was fast and the food was delicious! We had smash burgers, fries, and cheesecake. Stopped and got a medium house pizza. The pizza was very good The ambience was warm and inviting and the service was amazing.

We come here every Sunday for pizza, and this time we brought a friend. The server entered our pizza incorrectly and it had to be remade. Our friends fish and chips came out cold as a result of waiting for the pizza. She said she would accept it remade to go and they brought her the same meal back in a to go container. All along we waited for her coffee, until half way through the meal. She says she will never go back. We, however may be more forgiving. Although the server apologized, we received no compensation for any of our issues. We have since found out that the establishment is under new management. Lets start this off by saying the waitress was great. Nothing following has any determination on her service... That being said: The food was crap. Here's what we ordered... Read to the end to see the best part. 2 bowls of French onion soup. Both of them turned creamy and were disgusting. Watered down crap. Italian grinder, Caesar wrap, chicken club sandwich, all crap. Fries that came with it were just coated in salt. pasta with alfredo sauce. Sauce tasted worse that the Heinz jar sauce. The only good thing was the breadsticks and the water. Here's the topper on all of this: I'm sitting at a table that can see right into the kitchen area. When I glance back there, I see one of the employees standing in the kitchen area hitting his vape. Since my family was there eating, this pissed me off. I walked back into the kitchen area a bit and proceeded to confront the employee. I was lied to by the other guy in the back standing next to the vaper. "No one was vaping!" Anyway, walked back to my seat. Told the "decade long employee" that i just want my bill for my stuff and I will be out of here. He proceeded to apologize. When I asked to speak with a manager, he disappeared for a bit to look for said manager. Returned to tell me that he was home sleeping. Needless to say, I paid for all of my crappy food, and left never to return. This place was a giant waste of money, sad first time there. No one asked to comp anything, just Sorry, Sorry, Sorry. This was a great place in Fenton, MI. We had actually planned on a different restaurant that was one of the last places my brother went with my nephew and his family but when we arrived there, we found it closed because it was Monday, so after a bit of a scramble we decided to go back to Fenton, which is closer to my nephews home anyway. The Fenton House was founded in 1987 and has been serving food in the Fenton community since then. There is a full in-house bar service and a rather unusual carry out area for beer & wines. There is a fun game room with some unique features like a full-size Hungry, Hun, Hhippo game that you can actually sit on to play...... they offer a children's birthday party service that comes with pizza and cake, and a certain amount of tokens for the birthday children. My nephew had a beautiful Caesar salad, which he gobbled up despite the size and then ate a fair amount of his spaghetti and meat sauce, AND meatballs too!! He also had a shot of the whiskey that his father favored . I started with some French onion soup, which was mediocre. However, the breadsticks they brought, or absolutely fabulous and an entire basket full. They were warm and delicious and actually when I shared with my niece where we had gone the first thing she asked me was, "did we have the breadsticks"???-so instead of being famous for the onion soup in our book, they are famous for their breadsticks. My sandwich was absolutely enormous and it was delicious. It was home cooked corn beef with plenty of a red cabbage slaw on delicious grilled bread. I've never seen such a large piece of bread, I don't know where they are curate but I do know you don't leave hungry and you possibly leave with an entire meals worth of food, which is what both my nephew and I took home We definitely are excited to return and try more of the menu! read more

We had not gone to the Fenton House for a few years, but a neighbor told us that the new Fenton house had gone through many great changes, we decided to give it another try and we are glad we did. The place looks the same, but the Server and service was wonderful and the food was excellent. We ordered the canzone & the prime beef sandwich. Both were so large that we took half of each home. I have come to this place for years and years. I have no idea what happened, but I will never go again. First off, the staff and kitchen is total trash and I really wish I had not seen the filth you can observe from the carry out area. It appears they have recently changed their food portion sizes to maybe (???) a third of what customers have received for years (photo of "full size" lasagna is included; this use to provide 6 full pieces, it is now like half as thick and doesn't even fill the tray, not to mention it looks like they threw it in the tray from the other side of the room). Slop, just nasty food no one should pay for. The most disgusting part of the visit was watching the staff person drop a man's soup on the ground, and the slob counter woman in the burgundy sweatshirt continued to pick it up off the ground, brush it off, then bag it up. The website let me put in an online order, it says closed Mondays until march 1st on their website. When I tried to go inside the sign on the inner door said closed Mondays although the door & website says open 11:30. I called & there was no answer. I tried calling the number on the order & that is apparently not in service. If it is an error from the online ordering then you need to let them know you're not open on Monday's. Of course I must write another review of FHR. My husband and I were there and ordered Steve's cream of mushroom soup that was made with wild mushrooms. This was the most phenomenal mushroom soup we have ever had. Better than any of the very expensive restaurants in Fenton. And his marinara sauce is out of this world. FH breadsticks, marinara sauce and a bowl of his soup and you have a complete meal. My husband ordered a small Greek salad, it was huge. Three of us ate and there were leftovers for lunches the next day. Keep up the good work FHR. I just wish he had rice as an option to go with his super tasty salmon with maple glaze. Tried Fenton House again and it still is a big NO!! we ordered on the phone for a micro nacho with just meat and cheese and when we went to get them they had a made a small instead of the micro ( a micro is 8.00 and a small is $15.00) - hardly any meat and way too much cheese. they added cheddar cheese to them and they were really bad! never again read more

we had a very sad bad experience this evening . we were a party of 4. The men ordered entrees, my friend ordered a salad as her main course. I ordered a bowl of FAMOUS French onion soup. The waitress KAYLA delivered food to the 3 and said to me "are you sure you only want soup ". I said yes. my soup never came!! The only positive experience was a really sweet and efficient server. The food was awful. i am not picky about my food. We hadn't been to Fenton House for two years or so. We were looking forward to a great Italian meal, like we used to get. The lasagna looked and tasted like it had been warmed up in the microwave. Terrible. It had no taste of lasagna at all.
