I have moved three times in the past 8 years and each time ON Time Movers has moved us and they have been truly great! I also moved two office locations over the years, and they did those jobs as well. They are incredibly hard working and take such great care of all my things. They wrapped a lot of the furniture and even took all the beds apart and reassembled them. Each time I have moved, has unfortunately been in the middle of summer and it is so very hot out, but they work tirelessly to get it done. DO NOT TRUST!!! This company is an absolute scam and I have started proceedings with BBB. Brett the original rep quoted our move at $2700 we ended up paying 5k even though we had fewer items than originally quoted. Brett said 5-7 business days for delivery so we planned our move accordingly. We got it 2 weeks later the boxes were smashed, things were broken like a couch, how do you break a couch? we are missing a box which had antiques and memories from our time in Egypt, I lost my job because I sent my work equipment with them and didn't receive it in the quoted time. It is a much researched and documented fact that moving is one of THE most stressful things a person can do. Until now, all past moves I've done it in my life have been terrible events. Well, On Time Moving Services (OTMS) changed that opinion for me. In fact, they demonstrated it the first time I used them for a move in Palm Springs, then a second and third time. With each, I have to give them an "Outstanding" rating. I'm going to give you the key facts in a nutshell, but the details that follow are there to give you a word-picture as to why I feel so positively about OTMS. Here's the nutshell. I interviewed four moving companies to make the decision and chose OTMS because they were: 1) recommended by a friend who'd used them; 2) provided a professional and thorough bid, and Frank (who came to inspect the job( inspired confidence and trust; 3) were not the least expensive nor the highest, but was quite a bit less than the highest; 4) offered a wide range of moving services; 5) checked in with me during the months I had my furniture in storage; 6) kept me informed about what would be happening and when; 7) were on time with and met every single commitment; 8) executed three moves flawlessly; 9) made me feel like a valued customer; and 10) were incredibly kind and helpful throughout the entire process. This is the longer story: For my first within-Palm-Springs move several months ago, I moved from one condo into a newly renovated one. OTMS moved me from my old condo into the rental I was using. They also moved some of my things to a temporary storage locker, some of my things to a friend's house, and most of my furniture and boxes went into storage pods for the months it would take to renovate. I was doing all the pre-move packing myself. By the time the moving day came, I was completely exhausted from the physical and emotional activity and lack of sleep. There were still things left undone and I was also stressed about that. The moving team could not have been any kinder and more thoughtful. They absolutely bent over backward to help me pull last-minute things together. And they were so careful with every piece of furniture and box that they took out. I didn't have a moment's worry. They worked so well together as a team and made a very challenging job look effortless. But the proof of a successful move is really on the other end, right? Did anything get damaged while moved, kept in storage, and moved again? I just finished moving into the new condo. Same story: things had to be taken from three places, my rental, my friend's house, and the pods where my stuff had been for five months. And the same story with the team and the move itself. The team was incredibly professional and efficient, worked together as if they were dancers, made me feel calm and worry-free, and finished so quickly it seemed. The new house is smaller and the halls have some tight curves. Not a mark anywhere. As I've been unpacking and putting things away, I haven't found the slightest bit of damage to anything. I thought I would remember the names of the men who were on the team (most of whom did the first move), and in fact, I even hurriedly wrote them down to ensure I'd have them when I wrote my review. Unfortunately, I lost that piece of paper. So my apologies to the team. They deserve recognition for their excellent work and professionalism, and for being such kind people. The third "move" was a small thing. But it goes to the kind of company OTMS is when I tell you that this, too, was an excellent and pleasant experience. I called Frank (who I believe might own the company) because I can't use a couple of pieces of furniture in my new condo and my friend was taking them. They had to go to her house. It was such a small job, I wasn't sure I should ask OTMS to do it. Frank came over after he'd finished a full day of work, moved the heavy, bulky pieces of furniture by himself, and then told me "no charge". (Of course, I wouldn't hear of that.) Worst moving company ever. Called for estimate and requested someone walk the retail store (small mom and pop pet store) prior to quote. Estimator walked store and confirmed they could move the retail aquariums and insured us that if there was any issue they were fully insured. Read us a quote and left, about 15 minutes later he called to apologized for not leaving the quote and promised to email it to us with a witness there. A week later my wife called the office asking for the quote, after 3 calls the office said storms were messing up their email but gave her a verbal quote. We went ahead and scheduled. 2/3 rds the way thru loading we were informed they were going to run out of room and would need to add another day or go get a 2nd truck which raised the quote even though there was room in the truck if packed right. But in wanting to finish we okayed. They crew unloaded and while unloading the last retail aquarium dropped it inside their truck and shatter the acrylic. They apologized and admitted they had it tilted on the dollies but that it was insured. They again left us no paperwork. We called the next day and were emailed a form showing the insurance is by weight not value so they offered us $700.00 to replace a $8,950.00 retail aquarium system. Even after we sent them the pics, forms and paperwork from the manufacturer. Example, they drop your $2,000 80" TV that weighs 100 lbs you will get a check for $120.00. If you value your belongs please use someone else as we learned the hard way. We even offered to split the cost of the replacement tank with them as it was 5 years old and were told all they will give us is $700.00. Then Friday they have the nerve to email us wanting to offer us less by removing the weight of the base and stump that were attached to the tank and just pay us for the weight of the shattered piece so they can offer us less money. Didn't even have the decency to refund us the cost of the botched move. Worst professional movers in the south, walk away and call someone else or prepare to replace your valuables yourself. read more

Terrible service. They were a day late on pickup and two days late on delivery. The driver seemed frustrated that they had to reload and unload onto a U-Haul truck because they couldn't make a corner and just unloaded everything in a mess even after charging us an additional $900 (the driver told a relative that was at the building site "if they can afford to build this house, they can afford to pay us more"). The driver communicated only via text after all of this and never let us know when they finished unloading. Very unprofessional! read more

We are absolutely pleased with the professionalism of On Time Moving. Beginning with my initial call with Frank, the owner to my amazing movers, Reynaldo and Emilio showing up 'on time', the entire experience from beginning to end was exceptional. Our Yamaha baby grand piano was carefully wrapped and was put into storage at the On Time Moving location for one month. Our home goods were moved into a 10' x 15' storage unit at Life Storage in Palm Desert (who are also terrific!). Reynaldo, the lead mover is friendly, has a nice sense of humor and is extremely skilled. He was amazing with fitting all of our items like puzzle pieces into the storage unit. I interviewed 3 moving companies. Frank, from On Time Moving Services, was the only person who arrived on time and gave me a folder containing his insurance coverage, the brochure required for moving household goods, and a very competitive bid. Frank said the movers would be at my home at 7am, and that's when the trucks were in front of my house.From the moment On Time Movers arrived, the men demonstated that they were a well coordinated team, headed by Reynaldo, who, like the other men, were professional, friendly and very polite. Throughout the move, I was amazed at how hard they worked in 114 degrees heat with high humidity. These men clearly knew how to move a house full of furniture! Arriving at my new home, the men continued to demonstate their amazing work ethic. They covered door frames when the fit was tight, asked where I wanted items placed, had me look to ensure the wardrobe boxes were empty, and even had me look in the trucks to verify all furniture and boxes had been delivered. I was stunned when the actual moving cost came in UNDER the original estimate. I would use this company again in a heart-beat. read more

He answered my call on the second ring, I gave him my specs (a piano), he gave me a price and when I said thanks let me get another quote (as he was the first mover I called) and I'd get back with him right away. Before I could say more, this chump hung up on me! I couldn't believe it. Just because I said I wanted to grab a second quote he blew me out of the water. What kind of business person is this? I immediately called him back - he did not answer the phone. I called two more times (within ten minutes) and ended up leaving a voice mail. He never returned my call. I told So Cal about his very poor customer service and I'm pleased I can do the same here on YELP. Look elsewhere as professionalism and courtesy is pretty important and this guy, Frank at On Time Moving, lacks both. read more

The most amazing moving experience EVER!! I have moved over 25 times and this company is the best I have ever used. They are extremely professional and courteous. Starting at the top with Frank the owner who considered every little detail and was very accommodating. His employees were hard working conscientious and had a great attitude even though they were working in unbearable heat. We had an extensive art and artifact collection that had to be handled with extreme caution. Everything was perfectly attended to and carefully wrapped. And moved without incident. There was a delay in our new house being available and Frank accommodated our trucks of furniture in an air conditioned warehouse until the home was ready.Even though we most certainly created a problem for his company he was gracious and generous and made us feel as if this all ok. Our grand piano has also been moved on countless occasions. I am very picky. Beyond unparalleled wrapping and packing, the boys exercise incredible patience with positioning the piano until I deem it is just right and I am happy. I have also used Hilmar for countless smaller jobs. I often purchase collectible, vintage furniture and on a couple of occasions have agreed to have items to be delivered to me through on-site, in-store delivery men. Never again! The damage incurred to new and valuable vintage items reminded me most movers simply don't care about your treasure, it's just a one off job for them. From now on, I only entrust Hilmar and his crew with even smaller pickups and I'm willing to pay for it to protect my unique purchases. It's worth mentioning, when it comes to my multiple storage locker moves, I promise you Hilmar's crew has stacked, pulled out, shifted and reorganized my overwhelming amount of storage in various units at least five times. They are masters of organization and logistics even entailing long hours of work, sometimes right in the middle of hectic, multi-location moves. Bar none, On Time is the best and ONLY company for your local and out of town moves. i am renovating a house and had to put the whole thing in storage. I called a couple of services, and found these guys to not only be the most affordable, but also they have been early or on time for both appointments and moving. they hustled, and they were very careful (a lot of movers muscle the job, but bump into walls, ding furniture), but not these guys. they were really good. Brian the manager is so easy to work with, a good man, and Mike and Miguel were super to spend the day with. We were looking for someone to move a 48" upright piano. The move itself was really easy - no step and no tight turn. The problem was the distance of moving from Palm Desert to Palos Verdes. Called a few places and was quoted for prices between $470 to $650. We then came across On Time Moving Services and their price was significantly less than the other moving companies/piano movers. However, I was really skeptical because of the one bad review. I mentioned it to the owner Frank to make sure he would not charge me anything more than what he quoted me for and I think he got pretty offended and upset with me. I decided to go with them regardless of the bad review since there was also one good review. The move turned out to be very smooth. They were one time for both appointments. They kept the piano for about 10 days because they only come out to the LA area once a week or every other week. It was not an issue for me since I wasn't in a rush to get the piano. They gave us a window of one to two hours, but called 30 mins before they arrive so we didn't have to wait around at home. I would totally recommend this company. read more

On Time Moving charged me an hourly rate and a flat fee at the same time for moving our baby grand piano. They also charged a driving fee of an additional hour to pickup and drop off the truck. None of these items were included in our original quote for moving and added an additional $300. I strongly DO NOT recommend this company. read more

these guys came out gave me a quote ,they were the lowest and it is a set price with no games at the end,they quoted me a truck and two guys ,but then about a hour later frank showed up with another guy so we had four guys loading it was the best moguve we have made,i had another company quote me a price and took a deposit then called and said if i still wanted to move on that day it would be another $500.00 so when frank gave me his quote he did not even ask for a deposit, we these guys are the real deal read more
