Both times landed me with a Budget rental car from the office at the Sheraton on 16th and Race. I made my reservations late the night before, and was able to pick the vehicle up at 8 a.m. the next morning, without any issues. The staff is friendly (enough) and quick to process the reservation. In and out in five minutes. The number of available cars may not be high, but there was one immediately available both times I needed one. So why only three stars out of five? One simple matter of (in)convenience that may not affect anyone else, but is worth a comment for anyone in my situation. There is no late-night key drop. If the office is closed and you wish to return your car, you must wait until the next morning and make your way back and deliver your keys in person. While this may not be a common situation for people, I have more often needed to rent a car just for a day, intending to return it at night after my travels. To have to delay this return until the next day is a minor inconvenience that could easily be fixed if the office were to install a simple key-drop system as so many other rental businesses do. Besides that, they're great, and I'll continue to call upon them anytime I'm in the need.

When we got to the booth at the airport we were told they didn't have any cars. We would have to wait until cars were returned. We had a wedding and we missed the ceremony. That should never happen. They should always have enough vehicles sitting and waiting in case other vehicles are not returned on time. Why make a reservation if they're not gonna honor it? Maybe I should make two reservations and not show up for one of them. Second, we received a bill for tolls for over $90. It's currently in dispute. We picked the car up at the Burlington Vermont airport, drove 80 miles to and drove 80 miles back two days later. That's the only use of the car, however they claim the transponder number must've been mixed up. As they had a traveling in New York over bridges and highways charging tolls. A very disappointing experience. It will probably be our last with Enterprise.
