I can't say enough good about this shoe store. I was a years-long loyal VIP member of a much larger running shoe store (a chain) and had become incredibly unhappy with their inconsistent analysis of my foot/gait, the staff's disinterest in getting my shoes right, and inability to actually get me a shoe that was exactly what I needed. I discontinued my membership after months of trying all the wrong shoes they suggested for me and feeling frustrated that they were unable to get me the shoe I was asking for. I went to On Track and in my first visit there, had a better understanding of my foot, the different models of the particular shoe I was after, a very in-depth discussion about the differences in the models, and they ordered the EXACT shoe we agreed on, which was the one I had been trying to get for almost 9 months. Matt, the manager, was incredible. Very knowledgeable, friendly, outgoing and personable - he was invested in me and my needs from the start to the finish. After the shoe arrived to the store, I went in for a final fitting and had to bring my 3 and 4 year olds with me. He made space for them to play and explore some of their merchandise without even a hesitation while he and I focused on my shoes. I have been walking in complete pain for the last 6 months at minimum! With a recovering fractured heel and being on my feet for on average 16 hours a day. My feet have been tired and in pain, I thought that there was so truly no shoe out there to solve my pain! Eric at On Track Running was amazing to work with! It's great to have a high quality shoe store in Simi! Matt and Christian at On Track are professional, knowledgeable and a joy to work with. They will make sure you get fitted to the right shoe for what you do. My wife and I have bought a few pairs of shoes there now and it's always been an excellent experience. Beyond shoes, they also have plenty of interesting track gear and while I don't throw a discus myself it was cool to see them for sale. Interestingly enough they also have a few cool t-shirts and when I commented on what a perfect t-shirt it would be for a friend of mine, except they didn't have his specific sport showing, within days they had custom crafted one for me! They take up to 30 mins with you. Get out about 4 pairs of shoes, they explained what they were, how they are designed. Great experience. I live five minutes down the street from roadrunner sports in Newbury Park and I choose to drive to Simi for my running gear. The staff was excellent and very helpful when I needed to be fitted for a running shoe. The quality of customer service far surpasses any athletic store I have shopped at. If you are in need if a good fitting shoe for long days at work or for all your exercise endeavors THIS IS THE PLACE. The staff are all so friendly and knowledgeable. They also are runners and athletes themselves with a wealth of experience with all the brands offered. I think this is the most indepth foot scan I've had done which was able to confirm some of the issues I've been having with my feet. After the scan we tried a handful of shoes that are meant to help with said issues. I also tried their custom insoles and loved them immediately so I added those to my purchase. Couldn't have been happier with the service and products. So happy to support a quality small business in Simi Valley. My wife and I just had the most incredible experience at On Track. First, and perhaps most important, they fit my wife which has been an ongoing problem for most of her life. Not only were they able to fit her properly for the first, but they also did it with patience and understanding! They were able to fit me as well. However, there was a problem with the fit that materialized this morning and they were everything a company should be when confronted with a problem. There was response was immediate and the solution was explained perfectly. Did I mention that I've never encountered that level of knowledge and competence at any retail store within the last few years? Or, that it's a family business... I am a mail carrier, walking 10-15 miles every single day, and finding a pair of shoes that didn't hurt my feet was impossible. With the shoes he was able to help me pick out, plus the custom inserts, my feet have felt great even at the end of the day. I had such a great experience visiting On Track this week. I have been in dire need of a legit pair of running shoes as I have been a Nike girl my whole life and we all know those aren't fantastic. I saw a sign for this store outside of OrangeTheory fitness in Simi and decided I didn't want to deal with shin splints and ankle pain anymore and gave this place a visit! I was helped by Matt, got analyzed with the foot scanner system they have in store and got placed into a new pair of Brooks with added support/ "guide-rails". Took these bad boys for a spin at my next OTF class and WOW what a difference it made! I was actually able to run the entire treadmill portion of the class instead of giving up due to pain. And woke up the next day pain free as well! They really know their stuff here and have amazing customer service and passion for the running industry. Sadly, I was given the wrong size shoe. I asked for a 6.5 and left the store with a 6.5D Brooks Glycerin. This was my backup pair. My bad for not checking and waiting too long to return them. I tried to wear them but they gave me a blister on the ball of my foot. I went to exchange them and was told by the kid working there, well, you left the store with them and it's past 30 days. So basically, I'm out of luck! The best that could be done when the owner was called, was a 10% off discount on a new pair. Thanks but no thanks! In all my years of buying running shoes, I have never been given the wrong size. Again, my bad for not checking, but their bad for poorly rectifying the situation. Wont be back. Buyer beware and double check the size before leaving. Usually I don't even try them on since I know what I want. Quick and easy... wrong!! Back to Roadrunner I go since they offer 90 day returns. EDIT TO ADD: Of course this is not the way you remember it, because you weren't there. Yes, I did not have my receipt, nor bank records. My bad. From a business standpoint, I understand needing proof that the shoes were purchased there. I didn't have that. I apologize. However, the main thing here is, I think I did try on the shoes there and like them. As stated, these were my backup pair but a 6.5 and a 6.5D is a minute change that you aren't going to fully recognize until you run in them, which was the case for me. Customer Service is EVERYTHING! I would have just gotten another pair of shoes and paid full price if I wasn't made to feel like I was totally at fault, by your staff. So in the future, please train them to double check the boxes to make sure they're not handing out a wide shoe to a customer, and take ownership of a mistake instead of fully blaming the customer.
