The focus should be on transparency as well as patient's health and well-being - not GREED. They also violate boundaries. Dr. Ahdout gave me her word that Jamie would not contact me further. Yet, Jamie contacted me despite my numerous written and verbal requests to cease contact. I believe I may be able to file a police report for harassment. Additionally, I believe Jamie even went as far as providing DECEPTIVE MISINFORMATION about matters that can affect health in further attempts to not refund me. I believe this is highly unethical and concerning conduct especially for a dermatologist office. I am posting this review after multiple attempts to resolve this matter. I left a message and sent emails the first time and I did not receive a call from Dr. Ahdout. The same thing happened a second time. I posted a review the first time and Jamie called right away so I removed it. When I went in to show Dr. Ahdout the result of her work - I felt gaslit because she was questioning me as to why she would do a job like this. She again asked on the phone yesterday as what I think happened - a question she herself should answer. She then said there are no before and after photos. I reminded her AGAIN that I have before photos on my phone that her own assistant took. Dr. Ahdout then asked if I would agree to a credit. I declined. She then said that they have a "policy" that once a patient asks for a refund they can't return to the office. I informed her that I would not want to work with a business that has punitive policies. I believe both her conduct and Jamie's conduct revolved mainly around keeping my money. When I first brought up the refund, Jamie immediately became aggressive on the phone and used what felt like patronizing repetition. She kept repeating my name aggressively as soon as I mentioned a refund, which felt like an attempt to cut me off and silence me. Jamie even went as far suggesting that the tightness was "normal". She even pointed to her face claiming she felt the same. I knew the tightness was not normal. When I asked Dr. Ahdout, she confirmed that it was not normal. I do not appreciate being gaslighted or having my concerns normalized as though this is something I should simply tolerate. This involves health and providing misinformation to patients can have great liability. Jamie also asked if I would want to do a correction. I declined. I noted in my review and also in an email to Dr. Ahdout's as well as during her call yesterday that I do not want to interact with Jamie at all. Dr. Ahdout GAVE ME HER WORD that she will call me back herself. Dr. Ahdout did NOT keep her word. Instead Jamie called and went back and forth attempting to claim that it wasn't 2 items I purchased and it was 1.5. She said Dr. Ahdout said there was "a confusion" and it was 1.5 items. I informed her that's false. Besides Dr. Ahdout's own prior confirmations - the invoice is more than clear. I explained, again, that Dr. Ahdout confirmed with me TWICE, once in front of her own assistant in person and again on the phone yesterday, that it was 2 items. Jamie went back and forth for at least 10 minutes arguing. I kept asking her to ask Dr. Ahdout. She refused 3 times and continued to argue. I kept mentioning what I paid for. She finally checked my invoice although she had ALREADY SEEN my invoice as she is the one who charged me AND even emailed it to me. She FINALLY agreed it was 2 items. I believe these practices are EXTREMELY DECEPTIVE and GREEDY. Then Jamie said their "corporate" is going to send me an email to sign "a form". I told her I'm not signing a release form as I need to see another doctor. Patients should not be forced to sign a release form to receive a refund. Jamie said their corporate "requires" this and that they will contact me. AGAIN, she displayed a pattern of violating boundaries and as soon as I would say their corporate did not have my consent to contact me - she would BLATANTLY REPEAT they will contact me. I informed her that at this point I have to do a full chargeback on the 2 items. I contacted my bank and did a full chargeback on the agreed upon amount. If they create ANY extra emotional distress and dispute the chargeback - I will immediately involve my counsel without further notice and use ALL legal remedies to not only obtain my money in full, but to also hold them fully liable for all damages including corrections needed and the emotional distress caused related to this matter and their conduct. I will also expand my online review to other platforms as I see fit.

I decided to get some Juvaderm injections to help with acne scarring. Juvaderm itself is a very safe substance, it's Hyaluronic Acid which occurs naturally in the body/skin. But, there are still risks to the procedure, which is why it's so important to get it done by experts. There are blood vessels in the face, and if any HA filler gets injected into one of those (or compresses it from the outside), it can cut off blood supply to portions of the skin and cause necrosis (cell death) which can be very very serious. No matter how skilled the doctor, there is still always a small chance that this will happen. But part of the expertise is in knowing what to do if and when it does happen. Right after my injections, everything seemed fine. But that evening I started noticing an unusual darkening of the skin in a specific area. I emailed Dr. Meinhardt a picture and he asked me to come back in immediately. He began injecting the area with a medication which dissolves the HA filler. This is what doctors are supposed to do if they suspect that filler may be blocking blood vessels. My case was very unusual in its presentation, but he was determined to prevent damage to my skin. He spent the next 3 or 4 hours monitoring me, checking my capillary refill time, re-injecting the area with the dissolving enzyme, massaging the skin, putting heat packs on the area and periodically sending photos of the area to a colleague of his (with my consent of course) to make sure he got a second opinion and was taking the right course of action. He did all this without an appointment, and he has a very busy schedule. He didn't charge me (or bill my insurance even though this was now an emergency procedure), and I can't be sure - but I'm almost certain that the dissolving medication costs a LOT of money. And he used a great deal of it on me without charging me a dime. Now the area seemed to be somewhat bruised by the dissolving injections (which is okay) but it still left open the possibility that some of the purplish color wasn't a bruise, but was vessel blockage. He wanted to be absolutely sure in the most complete sense that he was doing everything he possibly could for me to prevent cell death and/or scarring. So, he sent me home with his cell phone number. Not his Google Voice number, but the actual number to his iPhone. He wanted me to send him regular pictures, he called me at regular intervals and even FaceTimed me to have me show him how quickly my capillaries refilled when I pressed on it, the color, etc. This was on a Friday evening, and I could hear young kids in the background so I'm pretty sure he was at home with his family. If at any point he thought my skin was worsening, he was prepared to come into his office on a weekend and treat me. I understand that doctors have an incentive to try and limit their liability, but Dr. Meinhardt had only one goal - save my skin and make sure I was okay. I already signed the standard legal release before the procedure, and he knows that since I come from a family of doctors, I am not a patient who's likely to sue him, no matter what happens. He didn't care about any of that. His efforts were purely in the interest of my safety and well-being. Rare adverse events can happen to anyone. But only skilled doctors know how to address those events when they occur. My skin is still in the process of healing and I'm still in constant communication with Dr. Meinhardt. It looks like I'm probably going to make a full recovery. This was such an exceptional level of care and expertise that I felt morally obligated to share this with any prospective patients. Everything I said in my first review 4 years ago still stands. I don't think it's an exaggeration to say Dr. Meinhardt is probably one of the best doctors in the country. Not just in his dermatology expertise, but in his devotion to taking care of his patients.

This was by far the worst experience I've ever had with any medical or cosmetic clinic. I went in…read morefor temple filler, which should have been placed deep on the bone, but instead they injected it incorrectly with a syringe multiple times. The technique was completely wrong, and I ended up having to dissolve everything just to look normal again. That process alone took several visits, and it was painful and exhausting. The agreement was that they would refill after dissolving, but Glenn, the owner, pretended to do so when in reality he dissolved again. He was extremely rough, almost as if he was taking his anger out on me. I was left in excruciating pain, and when I looked in the mirror afterward, I saw that my under-eye area was bright red--clearly a blood vessel had been hit. Glenn then disappeared from the room without giving me any aftercare instructions. When I asked Angel, the receptionist, where he was, Angel lied and said Glenn went to the bathroom. I waited 20 minutes, but Glenn never came back. A few days later, I realized they had dissolved instead of refilled. When I called, Angel casually confirmed it and told me I could just go to someone else. Only after I left a negative review did Angel call me back to offer a "fix" and asked me to remove my review. I also disputed the charge with my credit card company, which made Glenn furious--he even threatened to report me as fraud. Eventually, they tried to "fix" it with another doctor, but the whole office gathered around me, treating me like I was the problem. Even then, the results were uneven and my temples are still messed up to this day. On top of that, a friend of mine also had a terrible experience at this clinic, leaving with health issues after being treated by someone who wasn't even a licensed nurse. Completely unprofessional and borderline illegal. Months later, I called for a simple consultation and offered to pay. Angel booked me for a Saturday at 4pm, saying that was the only time available. I showed up, only to find the place closed. Clearly, this was his way of getting back at me. This clinic has shown nothing but dishonesty, lack of professionalism, and disregard for patient safety. My results are still botched, and I'm too scared to let anyone there touch my face again. Think twice before trusting them with your health and appearance. 1 star -- if I could give zero, I would.
