We recently held a party of 120 people in a Majorca boat in Long Beach. The boat itself was good and Captain was super fun. But, we had a worse experience with the bartenders and the liquor brands served at the event. We signed up for a Deluxe open bar for $29 per person and it includes Red Lable Whiskey, Jim Beam, and Bacardi rum. Unfortunately, they offered some house blend liquors that tasted awful and the bartenders poured half a shot into the glass full of ice and juices. Also, the bartenders and crew members asked for a $100 tip/for each crew member after the event. When we complained to the Manager (Kevin), he told us that we were "Liar" and didn't want to accept their mistake or give us any refund. definitely won't have any business with them in the future. read more

Excellent service! We had our 20th anniversary on this party yacht ，and it was honestly the best choice we could have made. Majorca is a really nice boat, huge capacity. The scenes were just stunning. Great maneuvering skills from the captain, a smooth ride all along and no one got seasick. The crew members are friendly and helpful, helped us set up! I used OnBoat to book a cruise aboard the 37' ketch, "Charming". It's a beautiful wooden boat that can accommodate six passengers. We did a two-hour sail with Jin as our captain. It was beautiful with a perfect amount of wind for a relaxing sail at sunset. My friends and I mostly chatted amongst ourselves and enjoyed the view, including a couple of dolphins but also chatted with Jin and were excited to hear that he was preparing to leave on a trans-Pacific voyage to his native Korea next year. So we rented the Ocean Catamaran for 10 passengers, to celebrate a birthday and wedding party for my wife and I. Upon arrival, our captain Danny was waiting for us at the dock. He was super friendly and helpful, we had quite a bit of stuff to load up. We poured drinks, had music goin, food served, and photos snapped. The captain (Danny) was super cool and always checking to see if we were happy with the ride. We went out to the ocean and saw dolphins, seals, some pretty bad ass boats. I 10/10 recommend this company, boat, and captain. These guys know how to have a good time! We will be back! read more

10/10 would come again for future events! We were on Yacht Ibiza and I had the most amazing time of my life ! The boat was clean and presentable. It was the best yacht i could find in Long Beach. The interior gave a luxurious vibe. I know this comment is ridiculous, but what caught me was how nice the bathroom was. If it were a nasty bathroom, i wouldnt have but the bathroom got me sold! The crew gave welcoming and fun vibes. They were very clear with rules/directions so there were no casualties. The Captain, bartender and the stewards were really friendly, communicative, and professional. I forgot his name but i want to shout out to the captain for being awesome. I loved his speech and would love to have him again. Communication was key in making this event happen and they always respond within the hour through emails. They are very transparent, no hidden fees. Just make everything clear and you will have a very successful event! Thank you Kevin for clarity and always answering to the many questions I have! Charted the Romantic Catamaran out of Marina Del Rey. It was a surprise for my Husband's birthday and we all had a great time. Captain Max was awesome. We also got to see dolphins while out at sea. Booking was super easy. Got a text the day-of to contact the captain about meeting up. It's nice to be able to bring your own food, snacks and drinks. I would definitely do this again. read more

UPDATE: y'all. You MUST rent Charming Classic Yacht. It was hands down the best experience we've ever had on a boat and Bill and his team were so wonderful, kind and made the entire experience fun. This was such a wonderful company to work with -- they were friendly, efficient and made sure we had a blast out on the water. We went fishing, swimming and just hung out and ate for 4 hours and the time flew by. Our captain Rony was AMAZING and so easy to be around. I highly recommend this company :) read more

His 30+ years of sailing experience and instruction got us up to speed quickly on the 38-ft catamaran "Untethered". In addition to sailing, we learned provisioning, how to anchor at mooring balls in Catalina, and spent 4 nights on board. It's hard to express they joy I felt at seeing the dozens of dolphins that joined us one afternoon. The man overboard drills we did offshore of Marina Del Rey were also memorable. We brought our own Starlink terminal and were able to familiarize ourselves with some of the navigation and weather apps. Ruth in the office made sure all of our logistics went smoothly. Finally the stay at home order is lifted. I wanted to do something away from crowds yet also experience nature. I looked for some exciting activities to do. I really wanted to get out and see the Pacific Ocean. I found and called OnBoat to charter a yacht on Yelp. The booking process was very easy. They have cut down on the number of people allowed on the charter due to social distancing measures. I was only able to bring 6 people with me. I only wanted to hangout with my family members so that was not an issue for me. After booking, I was given instructions and contact information of the captain. I called the captain to make sure he will have masks ready and I was concerned about any interactions. The captain assured me that there are protocols to follow and because there is a lot of space on the boat, I should not worry too much about being too close. We went out for 3 hours and it was the best time I've had. It's very relaxing and I had tons of fun. We were able to see dolphins and other boaters. It's a perfect way to get back to the real world. Kevin and co made sure I had a wonderful experience for my last minute 33rd birthday party. I rented the 44 foot luxury catamaran and highly recommend it. It was just as represented in the photos. I had 12 friends aboard, but the boat could have comfortably taken twice as many people if coastguard charter regulations weren't so stringent. With four decks to relax on, and bluetooth speakers throughout, it was the perfect venue for my laid back birthday party. We went out to Catalina, which was amazing because we had an amazing up close dolphin encounter. The waters get a little choppy in the evening (thankfully Captain Franck was there to navigate us safely, and fairly smoothly given the rough surf--i could see had a technique for avoiding the bigger waves). If you get motion sick, I might recommend a morning cruise. But all in all, an amazing experience and I'm just very impressed because it was also the least expensive charter company in Marina del Rey. Very well done. read more

I invited some very good friends to have a party on a boat in San Diego through OnBoat. We had this beautiful sailboat all to ourselves, along with a captain. Marc at OnBoat was very helpful and nice and answered my questions and helped me choose a boat. I had 10 guests invited for a party with food and white wine on a sailing yacht in San Diego harbor. Being on a boat with friends is a great way to bring people together. Nothing beats the view of San Diego from this gorgeous harbor. We saw some dolphins and just an unforgettably awesome afternoon with friends partying out on the water. This is one of the best things to do in San Diego for sure! read more

I wanted to surprise my hunnie with a cruise along the southern california coast, for his "Bday" found OnBoat private sailing on line. We have cruise the coastline in the caribbean many times but never in southern california it was fantastic to see and recognize locations from the ocean. Captain John is great at sailing and was very knowledgable. We were very comfortable sailing with him. My hunnie was still thanking me the next morning for such a fantastic idea. We had an amazing time with Captain Bill on his Classic Charming Yacht. For us, it was a trip to scatter the ashes of our loved one in the Sea, which is not an easy day... but Bill made us so comfortable and gave us our space while also answering all our questions and just being an all around nice guy and great Captain. I booked the Gilligans cruise for me and my loved one during our vacation in LA. Our Captain, Fernando was GREAT! It was my very first time on a boat and he made me feel very comfortable and at ease. His personality was great. Very down to earth and informative. Even circled around so that we could catch some pictures of the sea lions! The yacht itself was beautiful, very clean. My friends and I had an awesome time out on the water. It was a beautiful day and we were very fortunate that the water was warm enough to swim in. Our captain Craig made sure we had a great time and that we always had a cold drink in our hand. He's very knowledgeable about the area and has a great sense of humor. Although the water was bit rougher than we expected it didn't stop us from having a good time. Since we had to park a bit a way from the dock, our Captain was kind enough to pick some of us up so we didn't have to make the walk with all our belongings. Captain Charlie was amazing and even took us for a ride along with dolphins! Definitely can't wait for another ocean experience! read more

I recently hosted my son's 12th birthday party on the Party Yacht Majorca, and it was a fantastic experience. The yacht provided ample space for everyone to enjoy themselves, and the highlight was the large LED screen that showcased a slideshow of my son's drawings and photos - a truly awesome addition. Amazing 4 hours on there catamaran! We saw Dolphins up close and even a surprise visit from a Sea lion! Captain Rony was fantastic and made the trip extra special for the kids! 30 minutes of fishing and the kids caught 12 fish! He was also more than happy to clean and even BBQ them for us onboard! I would highly recommend these guys for a great family day out! read more

Highly recommend Captain Bill and his very charming boat. We had a terrific afternoon with him, very calm and peaceful. Bill is a friendly and considered host. Took my boyfriend out for his birthday and he loved it! It was just a cruise around the bay at a slow pace but it was the perfect vibe. We got to see dolphins, seals, and a ton of yachts!
