Kind of a hidden gem in midtown-- i loved this korean place for their ambiance and the service was super quick. The food tasted fresh and the portions were a really good size. i loved the banchan they gave us to start also. only reason im giving 4 stars is because they didn't have bingsoo and that was the main reason i came so that was a bit disappointing, but definitely will come back to try it sometime!!

I recently dined at Onda and overall had a solid experience, especially when it came to the food. I ordered the spicy pork bulgogi, and it was definitely the highlight of the meal. The flavor was really well balanced! I had just the right amount of spice without being overwhelming, paired with a subtle sweetness that made it super enjoyable to keep eating. It came out on a sizzling plate, which not only kept everything hot but also added a nice touch to the presentation and overall experience. The portion size was very generous, which I always appreciate. I ended up having enough leftovers for lunch the next day, and it held up really well! The restaurant itself was clean and had a nice, comfortable atmosphere. Nothing over the top, but definitely a place you can sit down and enjoy your meal without feeling rushed. That said, the experience wasn't perfect. The side dishes were a bit limited compared to what I was expecting, especially if you're used to a wider variety. Service was also on the slower side. The staff was friendly and polite, but it did take a few attempts to get their attention when I needed a water refill or wanted a to-go box. It wasn't a dealbreaker, but it's something that could definitely be improved. Overall, I'd still recommend Onda if you're looking for flavorful Korean dishes and generous portions. Just be prepared for a more relaxed pace of service. I'd come back again, especially for that spicy pork bulgogi!

My husband and I came here for our anniversary dinner and it was truly so good! We ordered a bunch of different dishes to share, and everything was excellent. (Bonus points for leftovers that heated up beautifully the next day!) The cocktails we ordered live rent free in my mind. They were strong but tasted super light. The service was great, and it's a really cute atmosphere.

This place is so spacious and the food was amazing!!! The server was very attentive and friendly. We tried a mix of things: the vegetable Mandu (dumplings), the spicy pork bulgogi, the beef bulgogi, the beef fried rice, and the Soontofu ramen. It was all so tasty and the banchan was also so yummy!! Definitely will come again when I visit next!

Nice restaurant with a great location, walkable from many hotels in the area. I believe this establishment is pretty new and gave me the impression that even greater things to come for the upstairs of the restaurant appear to be under construction :) Party of 4 celebrating a friend's bday. We came in on a Saturday evening and it wasn't that busy but they had a lot of pick ups. The restaurant offered an intimate setting that offered tasty food and great customer service. Patio setting also available. Glad we found this place!

Located in Midtown Nashville, this Korean restaurant is a great spot for groups--whether you're working nearby or visiting for a conference. While there's no valet service, you'll want to plan ahead for street parking or be prepared to pay for a few hours of parking if you're staying for lunch or dinner. The menu features a range of traditional Korean dishes, including grilled mackerel, sizzling short ribs, and hearty kimchi stews with pork ribs. Each entrée comes with a variety of small side dishes (banchan) and a serving of purple rice, which adds a nice touch of authenticity. Dishes are served family-style, so ordering 2-3 mains is typically perfect for a group of four. Though it's not a Korean BBQ joint with tabletop grills or premium cuts for self-cooking, that's part of its appeal--you can sit back and relax while the kitchen does all the work. The atmosphere strikes a balance between traditional and modern, with stylish décor and a drink menu that includes trendy options like soju cocktails and espresso martinis. It's not your typical mom-and-pop Korean spot, but rather a more upscale, modern take with great ambiance and a solid menu.

I came here for dinner while in town for a work trip and I couldn't be happier with the experience I was greeted by someone I later learned was the owner. He was extremely kind and helpful with recommendations. The restaurant had a great layout and i love the concept of Korean bbq but for an individual plate. I ordered a couple different things and they were all delicious and I wish i would've stopped by one more time before i left. If you're thinking of going, do it!

Beautiful space. Friendly staff. Generous portions. Enjoyed sampling a couple of menu items. Strikes a fine balance of authentic and accessible. Definitely worth checking out.

Pleasantly enjoyed my solo lunch w my dog. Beautiful open lofty space with lots of seating w couches. Full bar! I ordered a lychee martini w vodka. Got the beef ribs in kimchi stew $20: perfect for a cold windy day. Beef was tender and generous amount. Wish the stew was more sour but still very authentic and traditional. The bartenders/ owners and the server all were super friendly. Def will be back if in the area.

I went after a long day and it was such a peaceful release from the usual "downtown" energy. I had been before but not solo so I sat at the bar. The server gave some good suggestions. I had the Korean fried chicken and the spicy bulgogi. Both were SO good. If you want a peace place to do work, catch up with friends in an intimate setting, or just an overall good vibe solo visit Onda!

This week was our first time at Onda & won't be our last! I started with an espresso dalgona and it was by far the best espresso martini I've ever had - highly recommend, though it may also go best as dessert at the end of a meal. We're big bulgogi fans and usually go for beef, but decided to try their pork bulgogi given all the hype and positive reviews. The pork was tender and perfect and the sauce was absolute fire, full of flavor and just enough spice. It comes out on a skillet, which is perfect as the meat stays hot throughout your meal and you don't feel an urgency to eat it fast. We also split the Korean chicken wings; my partner loved them, and while I thought the chicken quality could have been a touch better, the sauce was so good it made up for it. The sides that come with the bulgogi were so flavorful and paired well, I especially loved the kimchi and cucumbers - both a quality fermented balance of spice and tang. We were able to park for free directly across the street as it was past 5pm and the lot was not monitored. The staff was attentive to us, thought could have been a bit warmer. The chairs were lot that comfortable; however, there is a booth/bench in the back that looked cozy. It's a very modern chic space. Cleanliness was superb. Overall, a fantastic meal with bold, authentic Korean flavors. We'll definitely be back to try more and it looks like the lunch menu is a bit more affordable, though parking may be even more challenging during the daytime hours.

This was close to where I was staying so we made reservations to dine here on a Saturday evening. Staff were very friendly. Food was good. We ordered shrimp fried rice, shishito peppers, Korean chicken wings, and beef bulgogi. Also had the peach soju. I loved the wings and fried rice. The wings were crispy and flavorful. The peppers were good but it's a very generous portion. Definitely shareable. It wasn't too busy the night I was here. Beautiful decor. Also tried the milk bingsoo. I loved the mochi in it.

Overall, a bit meh for me. Service was great, but food was mediocre. The flavor was ok. The tteokbokki was ok. Wings were good. It was sweet and spicy. The yaki udon was yum. The bingsu was such a let down. It wasn't that great. Overall. It was meh.

HEADS-UP the happy hour menu is bar-top only, so plan accordingly if you're going specifically for those deals. Limited seating available. Happy Hour & Spice Level I had the happy hour cocktail it was bourbon, lemon and honey. The food was flavorful overall, but I do wish the menu clearly noted which items are spicy. Most of the happy hour dishes seemed to have some kind of chili oil or heat element. That may be great for people who enjoy spice, but it would be helpful to know ahead of time, especially if you're sensitive to heat. For dessert, we always come back for the chocolate panna cotta with graham cracker crumble and burnt marshmallow, which was a nice sweet finish. This one is a must! To put this into next level I recommend adding the pretzel bites instead of graham cracker and a few salted flakes. We also tried the almond butter cornbread with blackberry, but I would avoid it. It was pretty dry and didn't have enough balance. The manager? Said it was a new item they were trying. I think it would be much better with ice cream or a salted caramel sauce to add moisture and richness. It was dry even when I mentioned it they didn't comp it we only had a bite and immediately decided it wasn't worth it. Final Thoughts Overall, Answer is a nice spot with a great happy hour, but clearer spice notes on the menu and a few tweaks to the dessert options would make the experience better. If you are seating by the bar it gets loud I wish the bartender doesn't just throw the drinks/plates so aggressively that it clanks. Also this place gets loud definitely not a lot for sound to absorb.

The hostess greeted us with "if you don't have a reservation, you can have a table for 45 minutes." No where did I see that reservations are required. Luckily 3 spots opened at the bar so we sat there because we were told "you can sit there with no time limit." The bartender serving us made no effort to look anything but annoyed with our presence. We had never been there and had questions but she would just point at the menu. I ordered a Diet Coke, which came in a can, one person with me ordered an old fashioned which was more glass than drink and the other people picked a beer from the list the bartender silently pointed at. This would have been a cool place if at least 1 person working here didn't look like they hated being there. Because of how we had been treated from the start we only ordered 2 appetizers, the dip and the flatbread. The dip was fine but the flatbread was like cat food on burnt toast. Oh and don't bother ordering a tea, I saw them serving bottles of gold peak tea, can't even brew tea. I do not recommend this spot unless you are okay with feeling like a burden and eating subpar food.

The service was excellent from the valet to the hostesses and our server. The bathrooms were also spotless. The cocktails were great, and the veal meatballs and fried green tomatoes were easily the best things we ordered. Unfortunately, the entrées fell flat. We tried the shrimp and grits, salmon, and roasted chicken, and all lacked flavor. The salmon was slightly overcooked but still good. The shrimp did not taste fresh, the grits were underwhelming, and the chicken was dry. I asked for a different sauce, and the oil based chimichurri they recommended was delicious and saved the dish. Would I go back? Yes. The service, cocktails, appetizers, and greenhouse experience are worth it.
