The beautiful gender reveal cake! It looks just like the picture!
    Diana A.

I highly recommend this bakery. After calling many bakeries, I thought I would take a chance on One&One and I was not disappointed! The owner is very accommodating. I took some extra things to him to add to the cake and he did a great job! The cake was very moist and delicious and not too sweet. Everyone enjoyed it. I will definitely be giving One&One more business in the future!

The primary owner/baker was amazing. We ordered a birthday cake for my mother in laws 70th and he not only did an amazing job with our initial cake but when we literally destroyed the cake 15 minutes after pickup by dropping it on the floor while trying to refrigerate it, he took what was left of the cake and turned it into an identical masterpiece in 20 minutes. He even refused our extra payment which we ended up leaving in the tip jar. I wish I had taken a picture of the before and after the repair because it was a true display of skill this bakery has. I highly recommend this bakery. Beautiful cake work and even better customer service!

I ordered a cake for my mom's 75th birthday and it was exactly as I requested. Prior to placing my order, I searched other bakers and the pricing was so expensive and the reviews weren't great. I'm glad I found One & One while searching Yelp and it's just down the street from my house! The cake was moist, light, delicious, and went quickly! I will be making all of my future cake purchases from One & One!

Very nice and they did an amazing job recreating a cake we had seen. Our son absolutely loved it. Not cheap but you get what you pay for. Will be going here for every party

Love the cakes from here, especially the chocolate and banana cake! I've ordered over the years for birthdays and have no complaints. They are affordable and work with the designs you bring.

What we gave them and what they were able to recreate! Amazing!!!

Great artwork, professional, reasonable prices! It cost me less to get this cake custom made than what I was quoted by Facebook home bakers! They did such a spectacular job and exceeded all expectations! The cake tastes great, and I'm not a cake person! The strawberries were fresh, the frosting was not too sweet, the bread was melt-in-your-mouth soft! Highly recommend!

If you want amazing delicious cakes you MUST come here! I absolutely love One & One Bakery I have bought 3 cakes from here the past year alone. Like every other place it has it's pros and cons. Some minor cons: they only take cash, the owners speak very little English (not a big deal, I still get the cake I want with no issue), and the prices are a little on the high side. However, you pay for what you get yummy cakes! Some major pros: they always have the cake ready on time, lots of parking in the rear and the cakes always come out better than my expectations. I will continue to come here for future cake needs!

Goku birthday cake. Vanilla cake with raspberry filling

Hardest working cake man in the business! I'm a millennial, but I genuinely enjoy our in-person cake collaborations!! Do yourself a favor and just go IN PERSON, takes all of 5 minutes to walk in, sketch and describe what you want. He gives you a quote and you pay a small deposit ("whatever you want" he says). It skips all the headache of emailing a vendor back-and-forth and waiting for replies. His cakes never disappoint in flavor or style! He's a talented designer that can imitate anything you want, and his cake is delicious - not overly sweet, but soft and rich. I usually order marble cake and raspberry filling! Here's a picture of my husband's birthday Goku cake - vanilla cake and raspberry filling (my husband's favorite) - my sister's bridal shower cake - marble cake and strawberry filling (Chanel-themed shower) - my daughter's 100 days cake. 2-tiers of marble cake and raspberry filling (everyone loved it), he can write Chinese characters!! I did the flowers but he did all the beautiful frosting work and fondant.

Custom designed cake Under the sea themed

I had ordered a cake for my sons first birthday. It was an under the sea theme in which I had gotten inspiration from Pinterest. I had gone to other bakery's and none could do the design I wanted. One&one Bakery didn't say they couldn't do it on the contrary they made me an exceptionally cake that I was beyond happy with. They simply said email us the image and we will take cake of the rest. I was skeptical at first since I had gotten turned down from other bakery's but when I picked it up I was so happy and very pleased with the design and how similar it was to the image I got inspiration from. Will definitely be coming back and ordering future cakes !!!!

I should have written this long time ago but it's never too late.. I guess. I love this bakery. On two of my events, I have gotten my cakes made from them and the guests have been raving about how good and flavorful they taste. They make the cakes exactly the way you want and the filling is so scrumptious.. the prices are great too. I am looking forward to ordering from them again for one of my upcoming events because I know that it will be amazing as always! Great place and really good people!

This is the beautiful masterpiece they created for me from a photo! Fresh strawberry cake with whipped cream frosting.

4/28/18- Ordered another cake from him and he did fabulous. Check out the photo. Than the baker was amazing!! I called from Boston to order a cake for my sister baby shower with a Tiffany and co theme. Since I was so far away, he was willing to accept an emailed photo of the cake I wanted! He was so prompt with answering but sometimes his email would bounce back, so I ended up calling to confirm. The cake turned out so beautiful and delicious! I ordered a fresh strawberry flavor 1/2 sheet that costs $110. Very reasonable for such a gorgeous cake. I highly recommend them!

    Unicorn cake!
    Connie W.

They were able to accommodate my sort of last minute, holiday weekend request with no hesitation! I called on a Tuesday afternoon before the long Thanksgiving weekend holiday for a Saturday AM UNICORN cake and they were able to accommodate! Only hiccup was, I had to come into the store to place the order! At first, I didn't understand the necessity and why we couldn't just do it over the phone, but in store there were a bunch of photo examples! First, I had to pick which kind of cake and style of unicorn, then the fun part begin with picking the colors for the hair, horn, and eyes...makes sense now why I came in! The cake was ready on time and survived a drive all the way to Irvine and an entire party on display before we sliced to serve! Cake was moist and yummy. We got the taro flavor...asian after all! Such a great centerpiece to our dessert table, I was really happy with my purchase!

Super mario birthday cake ! beautiful and tasty
    Helen Y.

Loved the decorations and the thought they put into making my son's birthday cake that was mariokart themed. We went in to place the order and put a cash deposit down. The gentleman that helped us was nice and clarified our order. Gave the email address to send the image of the cake we wanted. Parking was easy since there was a free parking lot behind the store. Will definitely recommend!

The hours are a bit limited, but I managed to make it in time to grab some pre-made baked goods to go. I got a bag of coconut macaroons, bag of several chocolate chip cookies, 2 red velvet cookies, a baked dog cookie biscuit, and a cute Keroppi sugar cookie. Most of these ended up being gifts, but I did enjoy one of the red velvet cookies and for an already sweet flavor profile with white chocolate chips in it, I was already fearing the worse, but went perfect with a glass of milk. The edges were nicely crisped by the baking too. Delicious. Love that they had a stock of cute, pre-decorated cookies available as well (some Sanrio characters, animals, etc.) They also list all the ingredients used in each of the baked goods that they have prepackaged, which is nice. The girl working the counter was a young girl just getting by her summer day job. She was nice but timid. It was our first time there and a little more energy on her end could've been better. Ordered the ube swirl, pineapple dole whip, mung bean taiyaki, and a custard one togo. The taiyaki that goes onto the ice cream is a lot bigger than one we ordered to go. I thought it would be as big, but when I got it, it was so much smaller and flat. Also, the taiyaki that goes on top of the ice cream was old. It had been sitting there for a while or was made earlier as it was hard and difficult to bite. The red bean inside I also assumed was a paste like how they make the Japanese version, however there were whole pieces in there. It was okay, but I thought they'd be like paste. Overall, the only thing that was good was the ube swirl and the pineapple dole whip. It was also extremely warm in the shop, like no AC in the triple digits summer heat. Had to eat it elsewhere. I most likely won't be back.

I remember when shaved snow was trending around 2010, maybe even earlier, and thinking how unique it was compared to regular shaved ice. If you've never had shaved snow, the flavor is actually incorporated into the frozen block itself. The machine shaves it into super thin, delicate flakes that practically melt in your mouth. It's completely different from traditional shaved ice, where you're mainly eating ice topped with flavored syrup. Watching the machine shave those thin layers off the block and voilà--you have your dessert! The $8.75 price for a small is definitely hard to ignore when it costs more than some boba drinks or even a bánh mì. But considering there aren't many shaved snow shops left and Salju managed to survive past COVID, I understand that prices have gone up. Shaved snow was honestly a game changer in the frozen dessert category for me. If you've never experienced it before, I recommend trying it at least once! Location & Parking: 3.5/5 Salju is tucked inside a small plaza with limited parking, so finding a spot may take some patience when it's busy. Ambiance: 4/5 There are a few tables inside, but it was crowded when we visited around 8:30 PM--understandable on a hot summer evening! The atmosphere was lively and filled with families and kids enjoying their desserts. Definitely more of a fun dessert stop than a quiet café. Overall: 4/5 The price makes it harder to consider this an everyday dessert, but shaved snow itself is still such a unique treat. With fewer shops specializing in it these days, I'm glad Salju is still around. If you've never tried shaved snow, it's worth experiencing at least once--especially on a hot summer night.
