    Black asphalt roof

Horrible, Do not go with this guys. Sales guy very disrespectful. Bad quality. Very exspensive . The sales guy didn't give me a choice made the choice for me. This is not what I would want as my roof.

Containers to capture the rainwater leaking through the roof (via attic).

Customer Statement Three months ago, on September 4th, my area experienced a heavy downpour. I went to my kitchen and was startled to notice rain dripping from my ceiling, upon which I immediately contacted One Day Roofing and spoke with Nathan around 5:00 - 5:30 pm. He asked for my name, verified me as customer, confirmed that my roof was still under warranty, and told me that someone was going to be dispatched to examine it. To clarify this statement, Nathan reassured me that someone from One Day Roofing would call to make an appointment, and arrive at my home the same day. My husband arrived from work during this conversation, and when I handed him the phone, Nathan confirmed the same thing: that we should wait from a call from One Day Roofing. It never happened; we never received a call-back. The following Monday, I called again and recorded detailed message on the answering machine. I received no call-backs. On the 8th, I called One Day Roofing again, and spoke with Eric. Eric proceeded to inform me that Nathan hadn't made a note of the conversation I'd had with him on the 4th, so there was no record for Eric to refer to. He asked for my name, telephone number, address, verifying that One Day had installed the roof, and told me he'd check with a manager, who'd quickly get in touch with me. No call-backs. No one got in touch with me. We experienced another very heavy downpour on the 17th of September. Rain was now gushing through the roof, displacing the plaster on the ceiling, which was now falling in wet chunks. The water was dripping through the ventilation fan on my stovetop. I rushed to call tried to call One Day Roofing and let them know--I'd reached Nathan again--that the rain was getting through. More rain, and an alarming amount of damage. Nathan realized the importance of what was saying, and once again reassured me that someone would get through to me. I waited. Nothing. Whenever I call, it goes straight to voicemail. It seems like, when my number is recognized, my phone calls are deliberately ignored. On Friday, December the 4th, I spoke with the receptionist, Chris Lang. who told me Matthew was in a meeting and that he'd call back. I tried again hours later, when Matthew didn't return my call. Chris then told me that someone would call and come to check out the problem between 11 and 2pm on Monday, Dec 7th. Not hearing from anyone from ODR, I called at 1:45. Another hopeless promise to call me back. Each time I call this morning (three months later), they refuse to take my call.

This company will not stop calling me. I will be filing a complaint with the Maryland Attorney General's office

Disgusting and bothersome company that got my information from Angie's list from another job request. Will not stop calling

Apparently they are unfamiliar with the fact that they are on Groupon so I had to call back when someone from the company was in the office to get on the schedule. They had availability for two weeks later. I wasn't in a rush so I don't mind the wait. I wasn't scheduled for the 12-4 time window. On the day of I had a work commitment that came up last minute. They were very accommodating when I called so I was pushed further back on the timeslot till after 3 PM so I could be home for the service. The technician Isaiah arrived and informed me what he was going to do. Afterwards he sent me a detailed report with photographs of my gutter system. Thankfully, everything looked good and I did not require any additional services after the cleaning and tuneup.

For the first time I realize I had been hearing a fair amount of outside noise (which I'd apparently gotten used to), because these windows/doors are soundproof; now I don't hear anything at all from outside! And even better, the windows are easy to open, and my sliding glass doors actually slide well in the track, and are not shaking and drafty when it's windy outside -- major improvements from my old, builder-grade, 20+ year-old windows/sliding door. Further, the service crew was excellent -- careful, kind, professional, efficient, and they cleaned up everything afterwards. Roger, the foreman, has been doing this work for almost 30 years, and Jose, who single-handedly carried in/out the windows/doors, has been doing this work for 10+ years. I didn't get the name of the quiet third service person who was mostly outside and on the ladders, also very efficient. fyi, they did mention that working on the 4th floor of our condos from ladders was a bit more challenging as the original builder-grade windows had been made to fit by being packed/taped in place from the outside, which necessitated them having to actually break some of the glass to be able to pull the old windows out. But they did it - and did it well. Finally, Shaun, the project manager who gave me my estimate and oversaw the project from estimate, HOA approval process, to completion, was great. Highly recommended.

My project was complicated because my 1980s drywall shafts were the wrong size for modern solar blinds. Instead of just "making it work" or creating a huge mess with drywall dust, Zach proposed a brilliant custom solution: building a clean birch veneer box with custom trim. It looks stunning and kept my house completely dust-free. What impressed me most was Zach's integrity. During the install, a small piece of my old plastic molding snapped. Instead of ignoring it, Zach took full ownership and replaced the trim on both skylights with upgraded foam-backed wood molding at his own expense to ensure everything was airtight and uniform. It is not a simple fix but an upgrade, for free. See the attached before/after pictures and the broken plastic. Like most customers, I contacted a few contractors before selecting Winfield Builders. Their price is VERY reasonable, and the communication through Yelp was professional and transparent. It is rare to find a contractor who cares this much about the details. If you want a crew that is honest, skilled, and delivers a beautiful finish, call Zach. 1000% recommendation!

Zach made a strong impression from the start--when he came out to inspect my roof and I told him of a problem area, he went up on the roof to look at it! Replacing the roof took only one day, the crew arrived early and worked very hard. I also had the gutters replaced, opting for 6" gutters. The larger size has made a huge difference, as they're less likely to get clogged. My home is in good shape thanks to Winfield Builders!

My first impression of this company was on the heels of Peter Deily; he was very pleasant,…read moreinformative and detailed about the windows, roof, and siding it the company offered and the installation prep/process. I did not decide on contracting the company for my roofing and siding projects as I found another company with the same materials used and did the job for less then this company quoted. I decided in May 2025 to go with this company for my window project that included 13 double hinged windows and 1 picture window. After signing the contract, I was informed that I would be receiving a contact over the weekend for a foreman to come out and do official window measurements for the ordering of the windows. I was called on Wednesday of the following week by a gentleman only to say " I am 20 minutes out from you." I didnt understand how he decided to just impose and not make contact prior to set up an appointment as I was told was to happen. This was the beginning of red flags. However, we made it work out as I work and was not available for this impromptu measuring. On June 12, 2025 I was phoned to alert of my windows were coming in and to set up installation appointment. I settled for June 16, 2025 starting at 8am, if weather permits. I took off of work and had all window blinds/ covering down and furniture moved 2 ft away from windows as instructed; this was a lot of work. On 6/16/25 at approximately 945ish am I received a call from a female whom informed me that the installation had to be cancelled for the date as its raining. My issue with this situation was that the company (humans) knew that it was going to rain in the beginning couple hours of the morning and could have cancelled over the weekend to be considerate of my time and not have me sitting around the house using leave from work unnecessarily; the weather forecast is online. In addition, I had to get the window coverings put back up for security and privacy. The installation occurred on 6/24/25. The company had a crew that came out whom seemed okay. I had to request that they use foot coverings; this should be a requirement and something I did not need to ask. They started upstairs in the bedrooms. They placed covering on the beds. However while working they placed tools and water bottles on my wood furniture, which was a NO NO. I didnt understand the lack of respect for my property. The crew removed old windows that were put in when the house was built 30 years ago. As they installed I noticed the windows had about a 2-3 in gap all around. That was quite alarming if the windows were measured correctly. They sprayed foam as I was explained in the gaps but NEVER pur window flashing up as I was told they would. They put caulk up only. The caulking was very messing and large amounts on my newly replaced siding. Thet also cracked the siding on the rear by the light fixture. By using the ladder and thumping it harshly up against the house; assuming it was too heavy for onw person to move creating the behavior. With that created divets in my composite front bump out with ladder prints from the cross bar type thing attached to the ladder on multiple areas. Also they didnt clean up their mess. I called after they finishes to alert of issues. It took me a couple times and then I got one of the workers that came out. Then the owner. I was not too pleased with the owner as he rushed and overspoke me as ig I dont know what to look for and wasnt very pleasant and condescending. After speaking with the owner he came out tje following Monday. And later that afternoon it rained and water poured from the front bumpout kitchen window. I called owner back on facetime so he could see the activity. The owner came out the nexr day with the crew. He walked around and said the wimdow job looks nice but never addressed my window flashing issue. However the leaking window was due to the seals around the composite bump out beinh pushed and detached; consistent with the ladder pressing on it as stated prior. The crew damaged the window metal frame and caulked it in the living room. It was never corrected or fixed. It was brought to the owners attention as well. The crew resealed the areas. The messy caulk on the back and siding, the crew actually cleaned it up the day of the window installation. The crew left dirty hand prints on my white bedroom dresser and on the walls bear bedroom front window. The crew cut out areas of my window ledge and caulked over it and it was never correctes after bringing it to owners attention. Also all stickers and hand prints were left on windows. This should have been cleaned up. The crew did not clean up their mess as I was promised. Because of my experience with the seemingly condescending attitude and over and quick talking I will not be able to give a rating higher then a 3.

I hired Liberty Windows & Siding for a large exterior renovation project that included siding,…read morewindows, doors, gutters, and a portico. I selected Liberty largely based on representations that the work would be performed by in-house crews rather than subcontractors, and that quality workmanship was a priority. Unfortunately, the project did not meet those expectations. The initial installation resulted in widespread workmanship deficiencies, including improper siding installation, flashing issues, trim defects, and other items later documented by both an independent inspector and a manufacturer representative. As a result, Liberty had to remove and reinstall significant portions of the work. While Liberty ultimately undertook remediation, the process was prolonged, difficult to manage, and required extensive homeowner oversight. Remediation details were not consistently documented in writing, work was at times scheduled or attempted without prior coordination, and key quality-control steps, such as clear verification milestones and final walkthrough procedures, had to be repeatedly requested. Even after remediation, there were disputes regarding scope reductions, credits, and whether the project could be considered complete without a formal walkthrough and customer acceptance. I incurred additional out-of-pocket costs for independent inspections, legal consultation, and missed work time in order to reach an acceptable outcome. In fairness, Liberty did return to address issues and did not walk away from the project. However, the overall experience fell far short of what I would expect for a premium-priced renovation. Homeowners considering Liberty should be prepared to document everything carefully, confirm who will perform the work, and ensure that all remediation and close-out terms are clearly defined in writing before proceeding.

From a customer service and business perspective, Steve Mitchell and his team are otherworldly. Certified just completed the second project for my house - replacing the siding and it literally is a complete makeover of my home and absolutely beautiful! The level of engagement I received from Colin, as the project manager, and Carlos as the onsite manager during the install - better than any I've received from any contractor in 40 years. Certified clearly epitomizes exceptional customer service, exceptional engagement and customer interface and exceptional craftsmanship! Thanks so much Steve, Colin and Carlos! Project #2 - Siding for my home! *********************************************************** If you're searching for a reliable company to replace your roof, I highly recommend Certified, a Service-Disabled Veteran owned business. From my very first phone call with the owner, Steve Mitchell, I was thoroughly impressed by his professionalism and genuine approach. His guiding principle is "do the right thing always," and he truly listened to my concerns, promptly arranging an appointment to move forward. At our meeting, Steve EPITOMIZED EXCEPTIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE - he listened intently, thoughtfully answered every question, and addressed all my worries. He explained the entire roof replacement process in clear, easy-to-understand terms. When it came to areas where the wood was damaged under the shingles, Certified sent me detailed photos of the damage, then replaced and numbered the plywood so I could see exactly what was done. I received before-and-after photos, and I have to say, if a roof can be beautiful, mine is absolutely stunning and comes with a 50-year warranty! The payment process was straightforward and fair: one-third at contract signing, another third for supplies, and the final third upon completion. Unlike other companies that cut corners or leave customers hanging, Certified delivered on every promise. I'm someone who values honesty, and I can confidently say that if you need your roof replaced, CHOOSE CERTIFIED! Colin, one of Steve's representatives, provided outstanding customer service, and the roofing crew led by DeSantis was equally exceptional. Thank you, Steve, for my beautiful new roof--I'm excited for you to take care of my siding and gutters next. Certified is truly giving my home a complete transformation!
