We went back last night and the food and service was great. Lots of new specials. Had stuffed mushrooms that were delicious. Then we both had the shrimp scampi special that was excellent. He was as equally proficient at making a delicious Martini as he was at serving our food, with professionalism in abundance. Treated my mother to a massage and then stopped at Jimmy's for dinner and the service was fantastic, clean and comfy aesthetic and amazing staff not to mention the salmon was FRESH andddd steak was amazingggg and cooked medium to perfection. Went here for dinner last night, I will definitely be back! My bf and I got a bunch of appetizers for dinner, and most of them were delicious! The nachos and onion rings are highly recommended. On the other hand, we got the buffalo wings - which tasted like straight up pickle juice and we could not eat them unfortunately. I'm guessing they brine the wings in pickling juice of some sort , but it was completely overpowering and we could not enjoy them. The service was quick and our server was very attentive and friendly. The restaurant was clean, but the music was a little bit loud - which I don't mind but some people do. The food was delicious. Reasonably priced. I had lunch with my sister in-law. I was on the fence on what I was going to order. I was very excited when I saw the lunch specials, steak tips and sea scallops. She ordered 9oz steak teriyaki Bread and butter while we waited for the meal. Lunch portions were a generous size. Over the weekend my friends came in from out of town. I immediately suggested we go to Jimmy's. They only offer dinner menu on Sunday. Our server Kyle was very friendly and checked to make sure we were all set or if we needed anything. Food was again very delicious I ordered 9oz steak teriyaki they ordered the tavern steak tips. Jimmy's is our go to. It is our neighborhood restaurant and we frequent it there. We supported them through COVID and continue to get take out however tonight might be the last time we do that. My husband picked everything up on time and everything arrived Luke warm. If u throw a rock hard enough I can hit Jimmy's from my house. The issue is the terriyaki chicken. In the past it has been 2 plump pieces connected. Well, tonight it was 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick. This of course also caused the chicken to be super salty. The pilaf was good but the pilaf is always good. My mom wasn't happy with cold scallops, they don't microwave well. My husband and son didn't have any complaints. I think my go to has become my no go. I am not throwing in the towel on this one experience. We went to the restaurant 2 weeks ago and the service was wacky and the order was screwed up. read more

we arrived at 1:00 on a Tuesday - a party of 7- was told it would be a few minutes while they cleared a table - 20 minutes later we were seated by I rather rude man who I believe was the manager. The waitress took our drink order and it was another 20 minutes before they arrived. We then placed our orders - she was continually scratching her head. When the meals arrived there was mashed potatoes instead of baked with the steak. The biggest issues I had (besides her scratching her head as she while serving was that she brought coffee with no spoons and served the ice cream dessert with forks. She informed us that they were so low on spoons and plates that the manager was hoarding them. We waited for the check and finally approached the hostess twice to get our check before our waitress finally appeared with it. We will not be returning there. read more

I was perplexed as i have the call log on my phone confirming I called. The hostess could have cared less. Got seated, waitress took our drink order, delivered the drinks, order was taken wrong. I am a frequent diner at Jimmy's and love everything about the place. It is definitely my neighborhood restaurant. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. A couple weeks ago I was there on a knee scooter and when we were leaving we discovered the rain was pelting down. Nasi, the manager came to my rescue with a large umbrella and got me safely and dry into my niece's SUV. He went above and beyond. We also love Melissa! Overall I had a great experience here for lunch. The food was great and the prices were good. My bartender was attentive and I didn't wait long for my food. I would have preferred my egg been cooked on both sides but that wasn't too big of a deal as the sandwich was delicious. Came here today for father's day, party of 5. We have been coming here often and always have a great time, today was no different. Dad and mom got the baked haddock which was flawless, the rest of us ordered the steak tips with a heavy hand on Jimmy's rice. All food came out perfect and as ordered. Waitress was good and attentive. The best touch was when we were leaving and Kyle, the Manager in Training, ensured my elderly parents exited safety by opening and holding the doors for them making then feel extra special. Sorry to say my rating has gone from a four plus to a two! First of all, the service was Not good.... We went there around 6:30 on a Sunday night, wasn't that crowded, the server did not have that many tables, and he definitely requires major training. We saw him exactly three times, when he took the order, when he delivered the food, and when he brought the check.... Stop over once to see how we were doing or to check on the food, and yes there were issues.... My daughter and I both ordered our usual go-to, Texas burgers, which include on the burger, bacon, lettuce, tomatoes, onion rings, and fries on the side. On the side. Difference being, she wants hers as rare as they can make it, and I want mine medium. Well. Both burgers came out cooked to perfection, and were quite tasty. No complaints there! What I have to say is first off. The fries were far from fresh, they were not hot, they were not crisp, obviously had been sitting under a warning lamp for a period of time, Have to make the same observation about the onion rings! The burger rolls were far from fresh, almost to the point of being style. Had the server come by the table even once to check on us, I would have sent the food back. After all these years of good food, I'm just hoping this was an off night, and not a downward spiral on the part of this neighborhood institution. I am willing to give Jimmy's another try, and if things change, I'll be happy to revamp this review. read more

My wife and I were meeting a dear family member for lunch and to hang out with. When looking for a place to meet somewhere in between where we lived, Jimmy's looked like a good spot and had a decent review on yelp. We arrived there not long after Jimmy's opened and were promptly seated. The place is your typical pub decor but with a big double sided fireplace in the middle of the dining room. It being a chilly day I wished we could have been seated closer. We were seated right next to one of the stations that had silverware, straws, napkins, condiments, and stacks of to go boxes. Our server, Rylee, was pleasant and did an okay job of serving us. It felt like she was new in her profession, a couple of times reaching across us while we were eating, without a "Pardon the reach" or an "Excuse me" and she actually cleared on of my wife's plate before she was done. And as I put my card out to pay the bill, she loudly set a stack of dirty dishes from another table on our table to pick up bill and credit card. Not exactly the best interaction, but like I said she felt new to waiting tables. Still left a 20% tip. Also her septum ring could have been smaller and more discrete. As to the food we ordered a round of fried zucchini, calamari, and onion rings. The appetizers were served hot and were delicious. The fried banana peppers mixed in the calamari were a little off putting but were easily discernible to be removed. My wife had the meatloaf, I had the steak tips with fries, and my cousin had the chicken parmigiana. The entrees were served nice and hot. I enjoyed the flavor of the steak tips, but the meat was inconsistently cooked. I asked for medium rare. The meat's doneness ranged from medium well to medium rare. It had great flavor, too bad some of the meat was overdone. My wife and my cousin enjoyed their respective orders. If you like pub food and a decent place to eat Jimmy's is okay, prices are fair and the food is definitely above par than chain restaurants like Chiles or Applebees . Would I eat there again? Probably not. What would really would have raised my review to a four or maybe even a five would be a little more care from our server. She did not check to see how our food was nor did she see if we needed to more to drink. And a little better attention to detail on the cooking of the steak tips. read more

If it was up to me this would be 1 star. Hubby said his meal was good. I had the pesto chicken sandwich- if you can call it that. It had no pesto sauce at all but instead a glob of mayo. Simply awful. The fries were a bucket full of salt. We waited 45 minutes and our waiter was by far the worst I have had in a long time. The waiter first treated us by stating what do you want? Never checked back with us throughout the meal and we were thirty. Then he said after taking out plates "I'll get your bill. " wait what? I guess we were done.
