Beef brisket with shaved noodle soup
    Ashley W.

Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance : 4/5 The store front says Volcano tea house and I wouldn't typically get beef noodle soup at a boba place but I'm glad I gave it a try! Authentic spot for beef noodle soup. They have the lighter cleaner soup style. The brisket was so tender and they gave a decent amount of meat. I didn't even realize I was craving milk tea when this spot popped up on the list of restaurants. The staff checked on me multiple times and explained the sauces. Initially upon entering you may notice a weird smell..that would be my only complaint for this spot.

The service was decent and the food was okay. The beef was tender and the broth was well balanced however, the noodles were way overcooked. It didn't have the springy texture or freshness of handmade noodles. Now the reason why I ranked 2 stars was the water! The water tasted really bad. It had this stale taste due to old ice. I took one sip and I just couldn't get over it and my friend made the same comment. Please change the water filter or replace the ice!

The food here was super yummy and everything was made to order. I especially loved the crispy pork chop and the beef shank. The noodles had a good chew even 40 minutes later since I got takeout and they were perfect with just a little bit of chili oil. The sign outside says volcano tea house, so it's a bit tricky to find. You can also get bubble tea and other snacks here.

A delicious "hole in the wall" restaurant with great food and great customer service! My husband finished his chow hand pulled noodles with slice beef shank relatively fast due to enjoying his meal. I ordered the chow hand pulled noodles with beef brisket and ate some of it while in the restaurant. We asked for a to-go box for my leftovers since I really enjoyed the food. Aside from the kind person that took our orders, another worker (she was the one who brought us our food) was also kind and actually placed my leftovers in the to-go box. Overall great food and great customer service!

When trying to look for this place, I was under the impression it was called One More Noodle. I believe they used to be but they changed their name to Volcano Tea House. The place is a little hard to find since it's off to the side but it's definitely worth a visit! I got the dry stir-fried shaven noodles with beef brisket (highly recommend), popcorn chicken, and a taro milk tea for under $25 which is honestly a good price. The staff were also really nice and friendly as well. I went when it was a little quiet and the owner took the time to talk to me. Very sweet woman and she told me that their noodles are made very healthy with no additives other than salt. Would recommend if you're in the area!

We got the classic soondae soup with bone broth and spicy soondae soup, both without intestines. The soondae was very chewy and the classic broth was on the lighter side. I added some pepper and spicy chili paste for added flavor. It tasted great with the kimchi and pickled radishes. The spicy broth definitely had a kick to it and had lots of pepper flakes inside. They ddukbokki took awhile to come out but once we got it, we enjoyed how it tasted like classic spicy rice cake with fish cake in it. It only had half of a boiled egg, but it was still good paired with the spicy and sweet sauce. They had lots of seating indoors. Definitely will be coming back to try more items.

We did have one drink order get forgotten even after a couple reminders, but they were extremely apologetic and ended up comping it, which we really appreciated. The restaurant itself was clean, spacious, and not too loud, which made it really comfortable for a larger group dinner. It was a little cold inside, but honestly understandable considering all the hot pots and sizzling dishes definitely warm you up fast. The food was absolutely delicious. We ordered the lemongrass beef sizzling plate, lemongrass beef short rib sizzling plate, shaken black pepper sizzling plate, Taiwanese hot pot, drunken noodles, and pork belly baos. Everything was super flavorful and came out hot and fresh. The Taiwanese hot pot was especially memorable because it came out in these really cool containers that made the whole experience feel elevated and unique. Overall, the standout here was the service paired with great food. They handled a large party so well and made us feel genuinely taken care of. We'll definitely be back!

When you think of Vietnamese, Americans tend to think of Pho, noodle bowls and lemongrass chicken but we need more places the focuses in home cooking and dishes that locals eat. Ingredients are fresh and dishes pack a powerful flavor bomb...I mean wow! The use of shrimp paste and other traditional ingredients really elevate flavors that many Americans are not used to, but you have to try it to understand. Their claypots are a must order and with a side of rice....you'll be eating for days! The star of the night was the pork and calamari claypot which is cooked in shrimp paste and your favorite Vietnamese spices and herbs. You'll finish bowls of rice with this dish, it packs so much flavor that you'll be wanting more. It's a great mix of salty, sweet and umami from the fermented shrimp paste. The Vietnamese curry was thick and packed with succulent shrimp. The veggies at a very nice brightness to balance out the coconut milk. The last dish we had was a shrimp lemon grass in the clay pot and that was also a hit with everyone! Service is amazing and they definitely know how to recommend dishes to match your taste buds.
