Absolutely Adore their food, extremely Delicious, they are extremely helpful when it comes to customers wanting some different things done to a meal and I really sincerely appreciate that. I love their egg rolls. Very very tasty and easy to chew. I had orange chicken yesterday with fried rice and an egg roll and it was fried very very well for the lunch portion which for me I ended up with leftovers so thank you thank you thank you please go and try this restaurant off of Havana a little bit north of I live in Aurora, Colorado.

Still did not have the courage to try some of better known spicy dishes at the recently opened Chef Liu's Kitchen and only had the appetite for lunch, so ordered the braised beef noodle soup and stir fried vegetables instead. The braised beef noodle here was quite different from the ones at other places. The broth was darker , aromatic and the flavor was heavier. The beef cubes were tender, savory and well braised. The noodle was firm, springy and chewy. Overall quite authentic and very enjoyable. Heard the spicy version was even better. The stir fried vegetable surprisingly had the wok hei aroma, bringing out the fresh taste of the vegetables. Chef Liu's Kitchen is at the Sushi Katsu shopping center on Havana, right by Coffee Story.

Sichuan Green Beans ( without minced Pork)

A big thanks to fellow Yelper, Mark T. for his review and insight for this new authentic Chinese restaurant in the Denver area! We enjoyed our food at this new establishment. We ordered the Black Pepper Steak with Mushroom, Peking Style Shredded Pork in Soy Paste, and Beef Chow Fun. We also ordered the Sichuan Green Beans but without the minced pork so that we had a vegetarian option. We were a little disappointed that the Chow Fun was not the traditional Ho Fun noodles used for this dish. Unfortunately, it tasted like it was dried rice noodles from a package instead. I think this dish could use a little improvement. Otherwise, the flavor of our dishes was tasty. Customer service was on point too. We were checked on and our water glasses were refilled without asking. We will visit this restaurant again to try other items on the menu.

Do you use MSG in your food and how are the Egg Rolls and Cream Cheese Wontons, please?

Hi Marina, we do use a small amount of MSG in some dishes. We can take it out for most of them. Egg rolls and cheese wontons are made without MSG

I am so glad that they are so consistent and have not changed recipes or adjusted seasonings. Ordered our two favorites - pickled pepper beef and mapo tofu. Then the string beans and a new dish - sauerkraut fish filet. The sauerkraut fish filet reminded me of the Vietnamese catfish soup but no sweetness added. Very good dish and will def order again. Also love that they have quality rice here.

We ordered the fried tofu (with peppers and onions), orange chicken, fried fish fillet, and veggie delight (mixed veggies). The fried fish fillet was definitely the standout. Perfectly crispy on the outside with a light, tangy layer of sauce that added flavor without making it soggy. Easily my favorite dish of the meal. The fried tofu was also really solid and flavorful with just the right amount of spice. The peppers and onions complemented it well without overpowering the tofu itself. The orange chicken was okay. I tend to compare orange chicken to Panda Express (probably unfair, but it's my benchmark), and this one didn't quite hit that same balance of crispiness and sauce. I think if it had a bit more meat within each piece, would be better. The mixed vegetables were decent but not something I'd order again. They felt a bit drenched in sauce and didn't have much depth in flavor. One of the highlights of the visit was meeting an elderly woman who helps out when it gets busy. She mentioned she was the former owner. She was incredibly kind, and we ended up having a really nice conversation in Mandarin. That personal touch made the experience even more memorable. Otherwise, really nice venue with lots of space and tables. Waiters always refilled my water, which is a good plus. Also gave me fresh rice when I took the leftovers to go. Overall, a solid meal with a couple standout dishes. I'd definitely come back for the fried fish fillet and tofu. Will be back to try their other dishes.

We did have one drink order get forgotten even after a couple reminders, but they were extremely apologetic and ended up comping it, which we really appreciated. It was a little cold inside, but honestly understandable considering all the hot pots and sizzling dishes definitely warm you up fast. The food was absolutely delicious. We ordered the lemongrass beef sizzling plate, lemongrass beef short rib sizzling plate, shaken black pepper sizzling plate, Taiwanese hot pot, drunken noodles, and pork belly baos. Everything was super flavorful and came out hot and fresh. The Taiwanese hot pot was especially memorable because it came out in these really cool containers that made the whole experience feel elevated and unique. We loved this restaurant particularly the YuShsn Eggplant and MaPo tofu. We had noticed that the restaurant had changed names and the menu had removed these items a month or so ago and were disappointed. Tonight we were looking to get takeout and noticed the name and old menu had been restored. We were excited to have our favorites again but were quickly disappointed. First when I picked up the food I was told that they did not have a lot of MaPo tofu but that they gave me what they had and gave me a $5 bill back...weird. Then I got home and looked at the food and could tell right away that it was not right. The MaPo tofu had peas and carrots that were obviously from frozen and def not in traditional Chinese MaPo tofu. The eggplant was mostly bell pepper and odd pickled vegetables with very little actual eggplant. The crab cheese wantons were dry and flavorless. We were very upset after spending $50 on food that we could not stomach to finish after a few bites. I threw the food away. I decided to call and request a refund. The new owner was very hostile. I tried to be nice and just said the food was not what we expected and that we could not eat it as it did not taste right that we would like a refund. He raised his voice and was angry and kept insisting the recipes had not changed and asking when was the last time we ate there. He insisted that I drive the food back so he could look at it and maybe he would give a refund. I told him I threw the food away and would not spend another 30 minutes total in the car to drive back there. Even if I was in the wrong, the new owner was insulting and never made any attempt to listen to my concerns. I stated that MaPo tofu does not have peas and carrots. He responded stating "this is traditional Chinese, not Americanized." The man is gaslighting me because I knew this is not true as I have had this dish at other restaurants for years and it never included vegetables. I looked it up apparently ONLY Americanized versions of this dish have peas and carrots. I will be filing a dispute with my credit card company for a chargeback. It is completely unacceptable to treat customers this way. Two thumbs down.
