Let me take you back about a year and a half ago. I bring my 2018 Honda Civic in because it's blowing out warm air. I've brought my previous car in to Leo and they seemed professional and about as honest as you can expect from an auto shop. He told me that the Civics around my year have been having AC problems (wish I knew that before purchasing my car but oh well) so he would take a look at it to try to figure out the problem. They don't take too long, maybe 45 minutes to an hour and tell me that it's a condenser and compressor problem and to fix would be $1600. That's no small chunk of change but it was in the middle of summer and it just needed to be done so what was I going to do? They end up "fixing" it and my car is cool again. Not. Only a few months go by and what do you know, warm air again. I bring it in and explain to Leo the situation and he says he'll take a look at it. They said they would put in a special dye and put in some freon and to wait until it blows out warm air again. A few months later it blows out warm air and I bring it in and now they say it's an AC evaporator core leak. The quote: $1600! I'm not about to get it "fixed" again only to have some other part go wrong and pay more money. You would hope that one trip would be all it takes to get it fixed (with a new car you would hope no trips tbh) but this whole situation really bothered me and made it seem like they were just out to get money. I'm sure there's a little part of me that understands that they're just doing their job but I feel like they should've tried to look for all leaks the first time. Maybe I'm just the world's unluckiest car owner. But fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. I ain't getting fooled twice, I'm just going to be AC-less thanks to One Stop. read more

Took car there based in recommendation from our mechanic Hrant in Pasadena who I trust and use for my cars. Look him up if you need work done. Anyways, Leo took in my 1998 Toyota' 4Runner and diagnosed the AC. During the process, he sent me pictures of the mess. This truck served duty on three of my father's ranches and critters had made nests inside the system, which is common. I will post the pics to show what they had to do. The AC hasn't worked in years. You'll see why. The work wasn't cheap and there's good reason for that - it was a mess!!! A day and a fraction later, its blowing cold as ice and we are thrilled. Was recommended One Stop Auto by Hrant to fix windows that would not roll down. We spent $1500 the first time (May 2021) to replace all 4 window motors and to get a new car battery. A week or so later, the windows stopped working again. Life got in the way (covid, pregnancy) and we did not bring the car in again until November 2021. He "fixed" the window, then it stopped working again within days. Brought it back December 2021. "Fixed," stopped working within days. Finally brought it back in April 2022 (at the very end of the one-year warranty) and he finally fixed it for good (well, 3 of the 4 windows work consistently - 1 gets stuck. He only replaced the 1 window motor that consistently does not work). According to them, for the initial repair (in May '21) he was sent a faulty window by Subaru. At the end of the day, is it his fault that we was sent a malfunctioning window? No, of course not. But it IS HIS FAULT that it took FOUR TRIPS for him to finally realize the problem and fix it. (I should add that, when I visited in December '21 during the height of the omicron wave when there was an indoor mask mandate, he did not wear his mask inside his office) (I should also add that, when I called to schedule a time to bring my car back in the 2nd or 3rd time, he casually said "Bring it by tomorrow morning!" When I showed up, he said "We're busy today, come back tomorrow." UGH) Two stars only because he ultimately did fix the problem and the warranty made all of the additional trips free. One Stop Auto A/C really is one stop! I dropped my car off before the Christmas holiday (amazing) because my A/C stopped working. In less than a day, OSA found a crack in my radiator that was causing the A/C compressor to fail. After giving them my extended warranty companies phone number, they took care of the rest. It took a long time for me to get my car back but that was 100% my extended car warranty companies fault. They were probably spending more time calling people about their car's extended warranty than checking in on my claim (kidding but not really). Once my claim was approved, my car was fixed in 2 days. Hell the f**k no! Complete scammers!!! Was referred here by Hrant because my break lights weren't working after taking my car in to get the breaks changed. Guy at hrant tells me that my break lights weren't working which was a complete surprise to me. Being that I never actually see my break lights go on while I'm driving he has me stand behind my car while he hits the breaks and sue enough, nothing... So I go over to this place with a friend of mine following me in case I need to leave my car for a while. When I get there this guy takes a look and tells me I need to leave my car with him overnight. I'm honestly not getting a good vibe from him and I swear there was nothing wrong with my break lights before bringing my car to Hrants. So I tell him I'm good. I'm just going to bring my car to the dealership and have them fix it. Now at this point the guy suddenly gets confrontational with me. Telling me don't be ridiculous, dealer will charge me way more. Now I really don't like his attitude and I insist on him giving my keys back so I can just take it to a dealer. He goes and gets another guy and they speak in a different language for a minute. Then the guy I'm talking to gets down and does something around my break pedal then tells me ok it's fixed.... They really did not want me to take my car to the dealer. I'm sure they were afraid the dealer would tell me they were trying to rip me off. As soon as I insisted they give me my keys back he suddenly knew exactly what was wrong with my breaks and fixed it in less than 2 minutes. These mother f**kers are running a straight up scam! I'm super pissed at this point and go back to confront the guys at Hrant at which point the owner gives me a full refund for my breaks He swears the guy that worked on my car there was new and that his normal guy was away. He kindly explained to me what was wrong and why they needed to do A,B,C. He was very patient with all my questions and so helpful... just so damn nice! Which as a woman taking a car to an auto shop, is not always the case, unfortunately. I opted not to get the work done as it's a little out of my budget right now (and this is on me because I didn't really do my research on ac repairs) but I highly recommend this shop for the customer service and respect alone! TLDR: great business, fast, quality work, good prices. A little over a year ago I realized I had a small leak in my ac system. So I went to autozone and bought up some triple AC sealer and put it in my car's AC system. I followed instructions but a few days later going to drive my car, my AC system wouldn't stay on. It kept clicking and turning off. So I searched and called around a few places and the owner here was really straight forward about the risk of the sealer products. I was planning a big camping trip and I needed my AC ASAP. So I took my car into the shop and dropped it off. They had to clean/flush out the whole system because the sealant acts like a heavy glue. They also needed to swap in a new condenser and compressor. They had my car back to me the end of the next business day. AC has worked great ever since. So very happy. So a little under the year mark I was noticing some dirt and oil build up at the condenser coil connector so I took it in. They fixed me up and changed the seal for me and I haven't had a problem since. I will 100% go back to this shop for any AC needs. First...when it comes to specialized jobs, take it to the specialist that know the ins n outs of their craft. Our AC went out on our 2014 Sienna with 55k miles on it...we took it to our mechanic of 7+ years who is great at what he does, general mechanic work...but the AC he couldnt figure out...we need our van for the family and I found Leo and his team on Yelp. They took it in at 10am and had it repaired and done by 5pm. Compressor, condensor, expansion relay, chemical flush and it was blowing even better than before. My air conditioning was taking too long to get cold. So I went to these guys to have the coolant drained and replaced. They quoted me a reasonable price for the service so I told them to do it. They drained the coolant and told me they had tested the system and I had a leak somewhere. I asked for an explaination of how my AC could have worked fine before the service but now had a leak all of a sudden. He didn't have one. I told him to just fill it up with the coolant (as we had originally agreed to), and to put some dye in it to pinpoint the leak location (if there was one). There was no leak! Most likely faulty equipment. This would have needlessly costed me at least $100 dollars extra for the service in order to find the leak. I didn't even get an apology. 7/31/2020 Follow-up - After being contacted by them afterwards, I received an apology in subsequent conversations, and was told that they have asked the company that they got their machine from to "recalibrated" it. It's been 6 days now and my AC is still working fine. read more

I have an old 1988 Mercedes 560SL and wasn't sure any mechanic would want to take it in to diagnose my broken A/C.
