The air conditioning items that had been installed lasted for 2 days. When we took our vehicle back the solution offered was to put a new ac compressor in which would be another 2+K$$$ I feel we were "taken to the cleaners". I'm so disappointed. We prefer to support local business but now my thoughts it shifted to buyer beware.

They are very honest about what is or is not needed (spoiler: something your other mechanic told you might not be necessary yet or needed at all). Example: my other place told me that I needed to get rotors replaced (over $1000). This place told me that (1) I could wait until my next oil change in 6000 miles, (2) that they have a machine to resurface rotors instead of replacing them entirely, (3) that it would only cost me about one-third what the other place quoted. They are highly knowledgeable and they are also really good at finding deals. I referred a friend here who needed a part replacing and they called up different car yards to find the part to save her money (of course you can always get the more expensive versions of things too if you want). My friend just really appreciated that they were trying to help her save money. So yeah five out of five. I drive an hour out of my way just to come to these guys here.

He insisted on charging me $75 to "diagnose" it himself, only come back with the same information I had already told him. Total waste of money. Then he claimed two parts needed replacing - one of which had already been replaced recently. He brushed it off as "defective" and said he'd change it out so the check engine light would turn off. It didn't. Not even close. Next, he said I needed yet another part that I'd have to hunt down myself at a junkyard or eBay. When I asked him - the mechanic - to get the part, he reluctantly agreed, as if doing his actual job was a burden. I told him I would pick up my car at noon on Saturday. Instead, he shut the shop down early because "business was slow," even though their posted hours are 9-4. Then he told me to come on Sunday. On Sunday, he wouldn't even bother showing up and told me to just send him money through Cash App and take my car. Funny how that option magically wasn't available the day before. Days passed. No update. I contacted him - he fed me some story about waiting on a call from "the Ford guy." More days passed. I called again. The call disconnected right when I said who I was. He never responded to my follow-up message. Completely ghosted. So here I am: check engine light still on, problem still unresolved, and $250 gone for absolutely nothing. Great job, Jarrett. I'll never see you again - and that's a promise. And for anyone reading: take a hard look at the "five-star reviews." A bunch are from first-time reviewers and/or people who only had easy jobs done - like replacing headlights. Nothing major. Save your car, your wallet, and your sanity. Go somewhere else.

Beware of Mobile Auto Clinic. They will drop you like a lead balloon…read more In March 2025, my check engine light came on. I searched and searched for a mobile mechanic, read through tons of reviews. Mobile Auto Clinic was highly reviewed, so I reached out to them for service. I was really excited when they could show up the day that I got ahold of them. GGreat service! Looking at the check engine code, they determined that it was something wrong with my evap system. They replaced a part in my evap system, I am not mechanic, so can't remember what part that was on their first visit, but the cost was around $140. They assured me that the problem was fixed. Well, it wasn't fixed. My check engine light came back on. I got a hold of them and they decided to replace Fuel Evaporative Canister for $488.21. They told me that all should be good to go. We'll, it wasn't. My check engine light came back on. There were a few other visits trying to determine what was going on. In those visits, one of there mechanics told me to put Vaseline on my gas cap- said that maybe it was a seal issue with my gas tank. Tried that, check engine light came back on. There were a couple of other visit fees, I even drove from SW Austin to their shop to have my truck smoked, they said that they could only do it at the shop. They didn't find any issues in the smoke test, but I do have another invoice for 555.77 for ​Replace Canister Purge Valve and Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor. Again they said that problem should be fixed. Again, check engine light came back on. Next thing they did was Replace Purge Line Going to Evap Solenoid for $499.35. Again, problem fixed. Nope check engine light came back on. They came back out a couple more times- replaced some seals or something. Totally fixed this time. Nope, nope, nope. Check engine light came back on. I texted the mechanic, Ben Barchuh, to let him know that light was back on. He said that he talked to some gmc mechanics or something, and that they said that we should just replace the rest of the evap system. I told Ben that I was nervous about that cost because I am really financially strapped right now. I asked for a quote for the rest of the system before we did the work. He said that he would get it over to me, but, in the meantime, I could just clear the check engine light myself. I have no idea how to do that! We'll, it has been weeks without hearing back from Ben even though I have sent him multiple texts. I contacted the shop to let them know that Ben hadn't gotten back with me. They said that they would have him touch base with me. Still nothing weeks later. I have now been trying to get ahold of the shop, and they have stopped responding to me. Not good business. It is now the end of May 2026 and my check engine light is still on. More than a year working with them and still not fixed. I have been patient, nice, easy to work with, understanding. I've tipped the mechanics a few times on top of labor and parts costs. I'm not sure what I did to them to have them completely ghost me. Apparently, when they can't fix something and you tell them that you are broke, you are a worthless customer to them. Really makes me feel like garbage. So it seems I'm not a good enough customer for them. I really was trusting them to fix the issue- I thought that they were experts. I guess not. When they can't fix something, they completely disappear. It's unfortunate because I really liked everyone that I worked with there. I had no problem giving them the chance to fix my vehicle because they seemed so honest and kind. Stupid me. Like I said at the beginning of this review, I chose Mobile Auto Clinic because they had great reviews. It seems like many have had great experiences with them. I thought that I was having a great experience with them until they ghosted me. Very disappointing. I know that I am just one person, but maybe folks will read this to help them decide whether or not to do business with Mobile Auto Clinic. At the end, it's your decision, but this has been my experience with them. I was hoping to be a long-term customer with them, but that has been blown up. I would give 100 stars if I could!…read more After taking my 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee to multiple shops and getting quoted anywhere from $900-$1,000 to replace my HID headlight bulbs, I found Matt and am honestly still shocked. Every other place told me the bumper had to come off and quoted crazy labor prices. Matt came to my house, replaced both HID bulbs, and had everything done in about 20 minutes! He clearly knew exactly what he was doing and saved me hundreds of dollars. He also let me use the bulbs I purchased myself, which I really appreciated since I was trying to keep costs down. I don't normally leave reviews, but I feel obligated to warn others about my experience here…read more I brought my vehicle in for a fuel injector issue and supplied my own parts. The shop proceeded with work without clearly communicating the scope, process, or total cost upfront. I ended up paying around $1,000 expecting the issue to be properly resolved. Within about a month, the exact same problem came back and the vehicle began dumping fuel, running poorly, and became undriveable. I had to tow it back to the shop. At that point, instead of standing behind their work, they initially tried to charge me again to fix the same issue. I was also told, without any proof, that someone else may have worked on the vehicle. After pushing back, they did additional work and returned the vehicle but the same issue came back immediately the same day I picked it up. At this point, I've lost confidence in their ability to properly diagnose or repair the vehicle. Between the repeated failure, lack of accountability, and poor communication, this has been a frustrating and costly experience. If you're considering using this shop, I strongly recommend getting everything in writing upfront and being cautious. Based on my experience, I would not return.

They were not down to 2 inches like DR auto claimed and could compare it to a brand new brake pad. They gave me in for reference this place lies and then they reach out to you via text and harass you there for leading a bad review because they lie, I have never experienced such bad service in my life. This is a horrible company and they take no accountability. They were literally just trying to get money out of me and it's so embarrassing better Do not take your business here they will lie to you just to get money.
