We had a very good lunch here. There's ample parking in the large shopping center lot. They have a reasonable lunch specials menu so that's from where we ordered. Lunch specials come with soup and your choice of rice. Brown rice is extra. There were two different soups that day -- one a spicy coconut and one was wonton. We each chose a different one. I liked my cup of wonton soup and really liked his coconut soup. For my main dish, I chose shrimp with mixed vegetables and white rice. He had the chicken curry and really liked it. My wife had this restaurant bookmarked and we were in the area running errands so we decided to stop in for lunch and try. Lots of easy convenient accessible parking near the front. A pleasant greeting from the two ladies working inside as we were seated in a booth and given a regular menu and a lunch menu. We chose our lunches from the Lunch menu which comes with soup and a choice of rice. I chose the Coconut soup which came filled with veggies and chicken in a coconut broth with a kiss of heat. My Entree was the Chicken Curry. It was fantastic!!! A sweet coconut curry base with a warming heat profile, lots of chicken and veggies. I'd order this again for sure! We stop here on our drive from Orlando to Boca Raton frequently. We get gas around the corner at Costco and then grab a quick lunch right down the road at One Thai. It's in an unassuming strip mall with tons of parking. The service is great and the lunch specials are very reasonably priced. I usually have the chicken pad Thai and Thai iced coffee. These are my go to's at this establishment. The Tom Kha soup is spicy but not too hot. We will return on our next drive down from Orlando. Came here on a Wednesday night around 7pm and really enjoyed the food here. Not much to say, food was good and service was friendly and helpful. Upon entering I was greeted very warmly. I order the fried tofu and Beef Pad See Ew. The fried tofu was nicely done. It was you overly fried or oily and was the perfect amount of crispy. It was well done, nothing super exciting but was what was expected for fried tofu. For my entree I got the beef pad see ew. The portion size was good. The noodle were well cooked and a bit chewy. I really enjoyed the texture. It didn't just fall apart when you picked it up. It would stay together in long strands as expected of this type of noodle. I though the noodles were very well done and above expectation. The beefs was cooked throughly and wasn't tough or chewy, it was easy to chew through and met expectations. One Thai restaurant is a favorite and I have been dining here for decades. Similar to the delicious entrées, the owner Kathy is a staple and a pleasant part of the experience. Although I admit, I miss the cookies. Your cookies were everything Kathy ! I visited recently for the first time in a handful of years and but for the decor and missing cookies, nothing has changed. It was the same excellent level of customer service, delicious fresh food and generous size portions. My brother and I took advantage of the early bird menu. He enjoyed a chicken and broccoli dish with white rice. I ordered the cashew chicken with brown rice. Note: there is an up charge for brown rice. I believe $1.50, but don't hold me to this amount. The early bird special includes soup or salad, a spring roll and dessert. Their vegetable soup is amazing! The spring roll is always delicious too. For a dessert, we opted for ice cream. I enjoyed about four bites of coffee ice cream. Not going to lie, I wanted to devour the entire dish but moderation is key. Not only did I enjoy my dinner, but I had about 40% of my entrée leftover to enjoy for lunch the following day. I won't wait a few years to revisit One Thai. I realize how much I missed this place. Not only were they open for dining in, the food came out promptly and piping hot! Now how can we not give them 5-stars?! We had their lunch special which consisted of a drink, soup, appetizer, entree and dessert for $13.99. We had juice, veggie spring rolls, wonton soup, shrimp curry for me (sauteed shrimp w/ veggies for my sis), and diced pineapples for me (fried bananas for my sis). Really loved it at first but after about half the meal it started to taste a little too sweet. The shrimp was also slightly overcooked, but it was overall a tasty dish I would recommend if you don't mind that it's not too savory. Also enjoyed a beautiful glass of Thai tea! It was very sweet (which I prefer but I know isn't for everyone) but wasn't as creamy as Thai tea I've had from other restaurants. I'm sure you can ask for more cream if you want.
