What I ordered: Dubai Chocolate Matcha: Very chocolatety flavored forward, think it was dark chocolate, barely tasted the matcha, but it's cool to have your own design at the top of the drink. Spicy Chicken Alfredo Pasta: Very delicious and creamy in flavor, got the mild so it wasn't too spicy and just had the perfect little kick for me. The portion is really good for the price and there was a great amount of chicken included. Dubai Chocolate Croissant: Huuuuuuuge croissant, perfectly stunning decoration on top, the croissant itself was flakey and loved the layers it was giving, a nice balance of the chocolate and pistachio cream with the powder sugar, not to sweet! I arrived at One Twelve Caffe (Downey) on Sunday (around 9:54AM). Parking is easy. The lot is very big. It's very popular! One Twelve Caffe (Downey) is loud from customer chatter and amped music. First, customers must order at counter. Then, customers take a number to the table, and Staff brings your order. When I arrived, the line is lengthy. It took three minutes and 30 seconds to reach the counter. Staff is welcoming, charming, and helpful. Staff eagerly shared detailed recommendations when prompted. My order took five minutes. Fair time. As mentioned, I appreciated the Cinnamon Oat Latte ($6 - Hot). This coffee arrived thin and foamy. It's not too sweet nor too bitter. Rather, the brew felt good quality. Its roasted sweetness reminded me of dark chocolate. However, this liquid is slightly coarse, as it brushed against the throat. Thankfully, the aroma and flavor is fairly pleasant. Regarding ambiance, One Twelve Caffe's (Downey) audio felt like a Brunch Nightclub hybrid. It's very loud and crowded. However, there's also utility. There's customer internet with password; its details hang on the plastic frame near the counter. There's also about five electrical outlets under the plush seating. The espresso came out smooth and well balanced, and the whole process was fascinating to watch. The food was just as good as the experience. Arrived on a Friday evening and it was a full house. It's casual but still beautiful aesthetic, and nice display of desserts and backlit marble countertops. You order inside and the servers will bring your order to your table. There is indoor as well as outdoor seating. Love that this place is dog friendly as well. Rami was super helpful and friendly, going over some of the popular dessert and drink options. Since I came in the evening, a few of the desserts were already gone. The earlier you come, the more dessert options you'll have. They also have all day breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu which I did not try, but everything looked super tasty. I got a few desserts and a matcha strawberry foam latte (they use ceremonial grade matcha) and the biscoff latte. Loved that both weren't overly sweet and the biscoff latte had a rich coffee taste. My favorite dessert by far was the banana mousse. By the time we left, the line was out the door. Even though it was packed, the servers are super friendly and take the time to make sure you're enjoying yourself. Definitely a must try place if you're in Downey. VIBES!!!! I learned of this place while I was dining next door. Decided to visit and boy was I was impressed. Walking in it Deor is super sexy. The color scheme gives Tiffany's vibes. Placing my order was very pleasant. The manager took my order and this man was just breathtaking in customer service. My wife and I went there for a breakfast sandwich and coffee to go. We both got a croissanwich and an espresso drink (they say they don't offer drip coffee, probably because it's a low-cost item), and our bill came to $55 and change, then another $10 and change for the tip (and there's no actual service - just taking your order, but they show you the screen with auto-populated tip amounts, and I can't help but feel guilty for saying no tip), so over $65 for a breakfast sandwich sandwich and coffee for two. The sandwiches were huge, I'll give them that, and the place is kinda cute, but the sandwich and my oat latte were mediocre. The sandwich was soggy and the espresso was slightly burned. We both wanted some sort of coffee drink. I ordered a hot Biscoff latte and my friend got a hot Cinnamon Roll latte. The sandwiches were cut in half so we shared halves. The caprese was excellent - the sourdough was a wise and delicious recommendation. The ingredients were very fresh and vibrant with generous amounts of mozzarella. The chicken pesto panini had tender chunks of chicken amidst the other flavorful ingredients - a superb sandwich. My Biscoff latte had bits of the cookie sprinkled on top and was an excellent coffee drink. I took some sips of my friend's Cinnamon Roll latte and liked it even better than mine; I love cinnamon so I relished that strong cinnamon flavor. After sitting and conversing awhile, we each bought a pastry to take home. They even have infused water available, which was surprisingly tasty. There are about five tables inside and plenty of seating outside (around fourteen tables), so it's great if you want to sit and relax. There was only 2 workers. The workers were very nice. I tried the Biscoff Cookie Iced Latte, and the flavor was spot on. It tastes exactly like Biscoff, and I loved the extra cookie pieces on top. The only downside is that the thick topping makes it a little hard to drink through the lid, and the lid itself is kind of awkward. The Crème Brûlée Iced Coffee was also really good. It's not overly sweet -- more like a dessert flavor without being too much. I substituted oat milk in both drinks, and they still tasted amazing. I also got the Biscoff Croissant. I knew I would have a problem choosing one! As I was seated in the patio, I was already thinking to myself should I have a crepe or a pastry? Man, that choice was difficult! I first ordered a toasted mushroom latte which was a recommendation from my server, Bryan. This belonged to their Fall seasonal menu. It came even with a Hello Kitty latte art. It was so cute! I thought by starting with a drink, I could take my time to decide what I wanted. I finally ordered a medium Chipotle steak benedict which Bryan said was his favorite as well. The egg yolk was runny but the steak was overcooked. It wasn't medium but well done. However, the meat was still soft so all was not lost. I enjoyed the food anyway. For dessert, I got the Dubai chocolate. I got it because I had never tried anything with Dubai chocolate before so I thought it was special. The chocolate was creamy and it was really sweet. It lacked flavor and tasted off compared to what I would expect from a specialty coffee shop. I also ordered the tuna melt, which was equally disappointing. The sandwich wasn't very flavorful, and the fruit served on the side was clearly not fresh. It was very mushy and seemed like it had been sitting out for quite some time. We had brunch here the other day. There is ample parking near the restaurant. The ambiance is fun and retro. We started with a variety of pastries that they make all in house. We had a biscoff croissant. The croissant is already one of the lightest and slightly butteriest croissant I have ever had. The biscoff glaze added just the right amount of sweetness. Pair that with some coffee and you are set. We also got a strawberry fruit tart. It was almost too pretty to eat. The tart was part cookie and the custard was subtlety sweet. The strawberries were fresh and delicious. They brought us their take on a Ferrero Rocher tart. They didn't just crush up a Ferrero Rocher and make a tart with it. They made their own take on it and honestly I think this one is better than the real thing. We also got some lattes and you can pick an image to be placed in the foam. Such a cool touch. For our main entrees we got the chilaquiles. I added the filet steak medallions. Such a fresh and filling meal. I loved all the flavors and highly recommend getting the steak to go along with it. Tasted like mango, but felt like it was missing something. Still enjoyable regardless, and was very pretty to look at! The Matcha Blue Latte is made of spirulina, so no actual matcha taste there, but still earthy due to the spirulina. The vanilla foam added some sweetness which was nice. The Strawberry Matcha was recommended to us since it is their best seller, and that tasted decent. A solid 4 for a coffee shop with pastries that also happens to be a restaurant. The setup is a bit odd- everyone is to get in line and order their food before sitting down. If you're taking your food/drinks to-go, there really is no pick-up area. My drink took much longer to make, however, they heated up my pastry right away. This process doesn't work very well. They called out my name so that I could pick up my drink in the same place they take orders. There is a spot that taking up prime real estate that looks perfect for to-go/pick-up orders, but, they have that area blocked off with glass and machinery they weren't even using. I don't think they prioritize to-go orders over the dine-in orders, so don't come here if you're in a rush to get somewhere. The service was excellent from the woman who took my order. She was also the same person who made my drink. I asked for less sweetness and she offered to fix the drink if it wasn't to my liking. We made a trip out to Downey to try the first robot barista-helmed cafe in California, to One Twelve Caffe on a sunny Wednesday afternoon. The outdoor patio made for very cozy seating - perfect for bringing your pup along. Loved the interior of the restaurant as well - very plush and reminiscent of a Tiffany store. We ordered the chipotle steak Benedict, classic bananas and strawberry Nutella crepe, Dubai chocolate croissant, burger, turmeric chai, and biscotti latte. All were excellent, but the standouts were the drinks for me. I would make the drive out there just for the delicious turmeric chai latte alone. Service was great - Bryan took care of us, and the rest of the staff were equally just as courteous, knowledgeable, and friendly. Next time, I'm bringing my girls with me - as One Twelve Caffe makes for an excellent girls' brunch date! read more

This was my first time stopping into One Twelve Cafe, and this place exceeded my expectations. When you walk in it's just Beautiful and clean and everyone sitting and eating in the cafe seemed soo happy and the vibes were very good . We decided to eat in and grabbed a few things . Bryan was super attentive and took my order , I noticed him talking with employees and customers in a really positive way and that really left a strong impression on me. Like 3.5* This place is very beautiful! Blue and gold and the bathroom is very luxurious. If you come at a good time, there's a decent amount of seating because it includes the outside too. The orange juice was actually cold!! Service was great - fast and everyone was nice and helpful even when it was busy. The pastries look incredible!! My friend and i got the chicken breakfast bowl and it was just okay. It comes with eggs (your way), katsu-type fried chicken, home potatoes, bell peppers, and covered with hollandaise. I love hollandaise but i think the whole dish was a little too one-note. It needed something to pack a punch, like salsa or chipotle crema or something. My friend agreed that it didnt really have much flavor. But for going to the counter to order and 2 bowls with a coffee and juice was absolutely outrageous pricing. It was priced the same as if i went to a nice restaurant but without the refills or table service. And the flavor of the food i had did not equate that pricing. Undecided if i would return - i do want to try their pastries for sure and i think my husband would like their coffee, but it would definitely have to be a splurge. read more

I've seen this spot for awhile and was so glad to finally have tried it out! I work in healthcare and always have random weekdays off and love trying new spots and having solo dates! I planned to do a quick meal and drink at the olive nextdoor before my movie, but decided to finally try this spot out! It was lunch rush on a Tuesday and I had like 50 min before my movie. I ordered and picked my table out and the food came out pretty quick considering how packed it was! Everything was SOOOO yummy! The service was amazing, and the workers were all so kind and attentive! Their dirty chai was pretty good, not my favorite ever but I would get it again! I really enjoyed the veggie pasta a lot and their almost almond croissant was the absolute best dessert I've had in so long! I will 100% come again on my little solo outings! read more

Came here for brunch. Celebrating my auntie's birthday. Came here during the week. You make line to order. Seating was available which was great. Can't complain about the service very nice. They have fresh complimentary water able to drink while you wait. I enjoyed everything, even the pastry i got. Only thing I would recommend is to have high chair for toddlers available. read more

Honestly this extension of the Olive Restobar is so good! The pastries are always fresh and the service is AMAZING!! Burt the owner is so personable and helpful, truly besides the coffee, the reason we come back. We got the nitro cold brew and the taste is light and strong at the same time. Great foam and body. I love this place have gone many times! The food and drinks are great but my friends and I keep going back because it's baby and dog friendly. They have high chairs for the babes and an open outside area for the doggos. Tables are hard to get on weekends since they are first come first serve but we usually get one. Being able to print images on your coffee is way too fun, but I wish the lady behind the counter told me it would cost extra!! I stopped by during lunch time on a Friday to grab a biscoff latte (with my own person pic!). I had some questions about how to go through the whole process and the server behind the counter was uninterested and very aloof. After I submitted a photo, I was surprised to see the price jump over $1 but since I submitted the photo already, I just paid for it. The latte was finished pretty quickly and honestly it was so so good: creamy and on the sweeter side, with the coffee flavor still punching through. The image definitely gave me a good chuckle but I'm not sure if I'll be doing it again ha! Overall, good coffee but the one server really turned me off. Will be back though! read more

Sometimes all it takes is one good TikTok to have me jumping in the car for breakfast, and that's exactly what happened with One Twelve Café. I saw a video of their stuffed French toast and immediately called my best friend for a breakfast meet-up.The second you walk in, you can tell this place is doing things differently. They have a coffee robot setup that feels completely next level, and the bakery display alone is worth the trip. The pastries are unbelievably creative -- some look like little mangoes and strawberries, almost too pretty to eat. And then there's the croissant tower. Do I fully understand why I need a croissant tower in my life? No. Was I still tempted to order one immediately? Absolutely.Everything felt fun, fresh, and thoughtfully done. The service was wonderful, the atmosphere was great, and you can tell they really care about the experience as much as the food.
