    Spicy Chicken Alfredo
    Cynthia A.

Found this location on TikTok. Came during the week when arriving everyone was so nice and helpful. Tables all seemed to be busy but while we order some people left and servers were quick in cleaning them up. We decided to try the spicy chicken Alfredo great flavor I did feel like it had a kick to it but really good and portion was good for the price. The pineapple pancakes were also really good. We also got what I think was the La Croissanwich really packed croissant with egg cheese and veggies, the breakfast potatoes that came with it were my favorite. They have seating indoor and outdoor which I loved. So many drink and pastries to choose from. I can't wait to try more of the food options and pastries.

cute cafe located in the downey promenade right next to the green olive. lots of indoor and outdoor seating. for this visit, we chose to sit in their outdoor patio. there were fans blowing and a nice breeze at that time. we ordered their club sandwich with french fries to share, and an Oreo cheesecake for dessert. we tried 3 of their drinks: hibiscus refresher, mocha latte, and banana matcha. the club sandwich was a good portion shared amongst us 3. especially because the french fries accompanied was very filling. you order up at the counter, given a number, and then you choose where to sit. staff here is very friendly and attentive. they even walk around to check on you. i really enjoyed my hibiscus refresher on a hot summer day. my daughters loved their drinks and we all agreed it was worth another visit to try their other menu items. plenty of parking in the surrounding lots. great place to meet up with a friend and chitchat and catch up. will be returning again!

I stopped by because my mother saw this place on Facebook and was intrigued to try it out. I was like your wish is my command madam!! We ordered their chicken Caesar wrap & their spicy chicken Alfredo per recommendation of the staff as well. This was the first time I ordered a chicken Caesar wrap at an establishment and it was okay. Plenty of chicken! The flavor was just lacking. I wasn't getting Caesar salad... I was getting like chicken and lettuce and cheese flavor nothing else. The wrap/tortilla wasn't the softest. Kinda stiff. The spicy chicken Alfredo.... I ordered because it was recommended by staff. I've made something similar, if not better at home. $25 for a plate of pasta and some chicken is wild. It's a large portion but I would not get it again. I wasn't wowed. It tasted like home cooking with a high price tag. Their coffee bar is cute with the idea of getting something printed on the cold foam. It's a cutesy thing, I understand it being an attraction for most. I thought their chai latte was good. After eating we went back inside to order pastries and a gentleman helped us and the customer service was drastically different. Definitely unappreciated, especially considering 4 pieces of dessert came out to $45. He was rude, got my mom's name wrong after repeating her simple name twice and there was no instruction on if the pastry was brought to us or not?? It was weird, we asked a different staff member who was nicer and explain their system to us. Not the worst experience but it was an experience to try this place out. There's indoor & outdoor seating. Open parking in the plaza.

This place is so cute! I Ordered an iced Spanish latte with a Bad Bunny design on top! Tried out two of their pastries and both were so good! Especially the Dubai chocolate croissant. My friend got the cookie latte and she loved it. The customer service there is also amazing.

I definitely get the hype about this place. It's extremely clean Huge outdoor patio It's really pretty inside with their color scheme and chandelier The case with all the beautiful desserts are so clean you can see your reflection lol Everyone comes here to see the robot (all the times my friends have came here they haven't seen it make a drink. And unfortunately, I only saw it wave. It's still REALLY cool though honestly) They have a nice brunch and lunch menu Portions are pretty large. Which is a plus in my book They do have free serve yourself spa infused water However, no matter how good a place is, I will not return if the service is bad. I walked up to the counter to place my order, and David did not even look up at me. Did not say hi, did not say I'll be with you shortly, did not acknowledge me, period. This actually really upset me to the point I almost left. Only reason I stayed is because I was meeting a friend here. After standing here for a while, another worker came out and took my order. (I sat there and watched David take other orders, acknowledged other customers, checked on other people but never once helped me) I understand if David was off the clock or something. But he still could have said welcome in, hello or etc. Before writing this review, I actually read some of the bad ones. And a lot mentioned how rude he was. So I'm very surprised the owner has not pulled him aside Everything would have been great if the service was better. There was one amazing waitress and I believe her name was Jasmine. She was extremely sweet 5 stars for how clean and cute the place is 5 stars for the taste of food and large portion 0 stars for the cheesecake. I tried 3 different ones and did not like them. I did not make a fuss and try to return them. 0 stars for service (David) so unfortunately I will not return. Also, this place does get very crowded and loud. So just a heads up

Came here to meet my dad for breakfast and wasn't disappointed. Got there around 9 so it wasn't too busy. Service was quick. They have indoor and outdoor seating. We got the steak and eggs, Americano, avocado toast with an egg, and a lucky charms matcha. Everything tasted great. I wanna come back go try their desserts/pastries next time. Cute spot to try!

I had to take care of something in the area and yelped a place to get coffee/ matcha. This place popped up and it had good review ratings so, I decided to check it out. Staff are nice. There was a line when I went, but it moved fast. One of the drinks that were recommended to me was the Cinnamon Oat Latte. I love cinnamon so how bad could the drink be? I liked the crushed ice it came with but the drink tasted odd. It was strange and the flavor was not good. Not something I would recommend nor order again, but luckily they have a wide variety to choose from - coffee and matcha. They also have a large selection of food, as well.

Such a cool new place to try here in Downey! David was very helpful with helping us decide what to order. I trusted him to bring out a dish that I would like and he brought out a breakfast bowl with chipotle aioli. Perfect mix of spicy to the food. All staff is so friendly and the place remained clean the entire time. Definitely will be coming back in the future. Again shout out to David for being welcoming and helpful with our meals!

Cafe in the Downey Promenade next to the theater. 1st time here. They have seats inside and outside. There's no table service. You order at the counter, get a number and they bring your food. Food portions were pretty good. I shared with my dtr and we still had food to go. The French toast was crispy and filled with creme. The creme was not too sweet. The crepes were delicious too. Ordered the pesto and stroganoff. The pesto was a lil salty for my taste but my dtr said it was fine. The stroganoff was very delicious. Good meat and sauce ratio. Would order that again. Matchas: Blue matcha and banana matcha. Sorry but this was a miss for us. We love matcha and they both tasted really artificial. Not enough matcha. The banana matcha tasted like artificial banana flavor and the blue matcha tasted like vanilla latte. We might come back for the food but unfortunately not the matcha. Maybe their coffee-based drinks are good but wouldn't recommend the matcha if you're a true matcha-connoisseur. As far as the customer service, I think it was a manager or something but he was very attentive and made sure we were good. Thank you for that!

This cafe is so cute! They have Tom, a robot, making your coffee! I got a Chai latte and they can put any design you want on top! We ordered a crepe, club sandwich, a Dubai croissant, and the infamous mango dessert. Everything was delicious! Will definitely be back when I'm in the area!

Fancy French bakery with meticulously prepared food that takes a long time to prepare. The exotic menu matches the exotic price for the items.

So I had to come see what all the commotion was about I came on a Friday morning and it was actually pretty packed -- I guess a lot of people called out that day I ended up trying their banana matcha and I absolutely loved it! For my meal, I got the Chipotle Steak Benedict. It was okay... I'd probably give it a 6/10. I feel like something was missing from the dish. And of course, I couldn't leave without trying dessert I got the lemon cake and it actually tasted how lemon is supposed to taste -- super lemony, tangy, and sour in the best way possible. It was really good! And the restaurant aesthetic was very cute. I felt very welcome and the customer service was 100! I liked it. They're very creative with this little croissant cake.! but I definitely do wanna come back and try the rest of their desserts and they're in their dish of course..

First time here and definitely not the last! The spicy chicken Alfredo is hands down one of the best pastas I've had. It does have a little kick to it but if you like spicy you'll enjoy this dish(: It's a cute little cafe that offers a variety of options to choose from from breakfast, lunch and dinner items. The pastries are so delicious! Tried the mango mousse for the first time and I can't wait to be back to try all the other fruit mousses! The cheesecakes are so well made and they offer a good amount of options for flavors. The service here and at The Olive are top tier and they really take care of their customers (: I had the pleasure of being helped by Bryan who was so kind and helpful with any questions I had.

The workers are always super nice and greet us every time we come in, which I really appreciate. They also have a little punch card where you can earn a free drink once you fill it up, so of course we love that! The only downside is the parking lot. It fills up really quickly, and finding a spot can definitely be a pain, especially when it's busy. But honestly, that's a small inconvenience for how good everything is! We'll definitely be back!

The Cream Cheese Cold Foam isn't super overpowering, but you can taste it in your drink, and it tastes great. I've never seen it offered at other cafes, but I liked it! The Strawberry Matcha Latte had strawberry puree and strawberry bits in it so you had to drink it with a boba straw. The drink was good! The Matcha Latte (Iced) with Regular Cold Foam tasted great as well. It almost tasted like a Matcha KitKat so it was pretty good. The cafe itself was empty when I came in, but the cafe quickly filled up with big groups. There's plenty of seating and tables, and all the seats are padded and comfortable. I could see this cafe being a fun study spot. There's also some board games and manga if you come with a big group. Parking is a bit chaotic because the parking lot is all bumpy, but parking isn't hard to find in the plaza. The employee was very kind and helpful. We didn't know there was coffee on the menu until he pointed us to where it was. He made the drinks very quickly, and he was very informative about the drinks. I would come here again! I was in the area and I've never had a cute coffee with the latte art (so many of my friends are going to roast me for this) When I pulled up -nice private parking -a staff member was outside painting on the windows with the cutest window art. The girl had talent! This place has also given back. They helped with the LA fires last year. So bonus points for places who give back. (They gave back to the Pasadena humane society) There was a pretty big line and it was pretty loud in here, but it went by very fast. My friend grabbed a table while I placed the order. -they do have a good amount of seating. The place is pretty small though. So we sat for a minute after our drinks came out and then decided to take it to go -they have latte art that changes every month. So I like they have some rotating options. It was my turn and I ordered two sugar free mocha iced coffees. One with regular foam, And mine had strawberry foam. When I told Matthew at the counter it was really important the one drink be as sugar free as possible due to my friend being diabetic, he warned us there was sugar in the foam, but he would go as light as possible. So I appreciate him warning us and taking it serious. I picked the new hello kitty art of the month (hello kitty in a bathing suit with waves and dolphins) And my friend picked from the new monthly latte art as well, and got the Kirby character Even though it was busy, it took probably 2 minutes for our drinks to be made Matthew was absolutely great. His energy, he had a smile on his face, was knowledgeable about the menu, Matthew was everything you'd want in a staff member. Just like any coffee place, you pay and give them a name for your order, and then they call your name and you pick up your coffee at the counter. These drinks hit the spot!!! It was very trendy. They had Sabrina carpenter and Olivia Rodrigo specials and they even had a Lana Del Rey latte (cinnamon girl, named after her song) only thing that bummed me out They had a case with delicious pastries. But since I came here later in the day, they only had a couple stragglers left behind -they open at 7 am, for everyone needing their morning coffee -vegan options -free WiFi -woman owned -LGBTQ owned -they give back to the community

To be honest the parking is probably the least fortunate aspect of this cafe ambiance: study vibes all the way, nice quiet, good amount of seats, they have outlets, i believe they have wifi as well fun features: the ice is coffee too!

I ordered an iced caramel latte, and it absolutely did not disappoint. The espresso was rich and flavorful, while the caramel added just the right amount of sweetness without overpowering the drink. I also loved that they use coffee ice cubes, it kept the latte from getting watered down, and honestly, I thought it tasted even better as it sat. The staff was friendly, and our drinks came out pretty quickly, which I appreciated. The only downside was the atmosphere. It's a very small shop with seating for maybe 20 people inside, plus 4 small two-person tables outside (without any shade). When we visited, almost everyone else was working on laptops, so it didn't feel like the best place to sit and chat. The music was also fairly loud and mostly K-pop, which didn't really match the coffee shops aesthetic and made conversation a little more difficult. Parking was probably my biggest complaint. There are only four dedicated parking spots, and the surrounding residential street parking was completely packed. I ended up parking in the chicken restaurant's lot across the street. Overall, I'd definitely come back for the coffee, it was genuinely one of the better iced caramel lattes I've had. If you're looking to grab a quality drink to go, I'd highly recommend it. Just be prepared for limited seating and a challenging parking situation.

The baristas at this location are in the best mood and always get my order right. Even when I have questions about new drinks, they explain them with confidence and no irritation. I appreciate the customer service, friendly faces and speedy service. Sometimes I walk in the cafe and the ambiance is always calm and clean. The same speedy service with friendly faces and tasty drinks. 10/10 I love this location, all the baristas are top tier. The macroons are delicious and fresh. I've even tried the The ham and brie and it was also a fresh little yummy snack. Thank you 7 leaves Downey!

Okay, I think there's enough for me to give the Downey 7 Leaves Cafe a 4th star, but they still…read morehave quite a lot of work to do to garner the 5th star from me. I was planning to check out a weekend pop-up at the Promenade at Downey, and afterwards, I just wanted to chill with a couple of drinks at 7 Leaves. Wait, *a couple* of drinks? Oh yes! I noticed that 7 Leaves had an offer for rewards members: Free Strawberry Hibiscus Tea with a $5 purchase. I could have gotten a couple small bites e.g. macarons with the Strawberry Hibiscus Tea, but I chose to get another refresher: Summer Mint, priced at $5.50. I don't think the offer would have worked inside the cafe, so I placed my order in my car and headed inside after doing so. Previously in the app, I was able to order all the toppings for a complimentary drink at no extra charge, but these days, you're only allowed one complimentary topping; I chose the crystal boba. I needed to use the restroom, so while my drinks were being crafted, the bobarista at the front gave me the six-digit code specifically for the left restroom. Was the right restroom reserved for employees only? Hmm not sure. However, as soon as I punched in the code for the left restroom, it was still locked because another customer was inside. I wouldn't have known if it was occupied or not, so I tried the code on the right restroom. Didn't work. I had to wait for that other customer to exit the restroom before I could punch in the restroom code for the third time. As soon as I left the restroom, I heard the bobarista call out my name, and she handed me my drinks in a takeout bag with a drink carrier holding my drinks. But since there was space on the community table by the front counter, I sat at an open seat there to enjoy my drinks and scroll through my phone. My takeout bag included two straws: one regular, and one boba. I went with the Regular Size Summer Mint since it was already over $5, and 40 oz of refreshing drinks would already be quite a lot in one visit anyways. I also declined on a topping, normally 90 cents, for the Summer Mint because with or without a topping, I would still only earn 6 leaves on my purchase. The Strawberry Hibiscus Tea didn't have any actual strawberry bits, but it did have a slice of lime in it. In the app, you can request extra sweet, but that drink was already inherently quite sweet that I fear if I had chosen extra sweet, it would have been over the top. The Summer Mint had a slice of orange and some basil leaves. It was kind of sour and had quite a citrus-y taste, a stark contrast from the strawberry hibiscus that I alternated sips between the two drinks so that my taste buds wouldn't be bored lol. If you wanted to go extra sweet on this one, I wouldn't recommend against it, but it may take away from the intended flavor of the refresher. For both drinks, I ordered Easy Ice, but I think they went Medium on the ice if that makes sense. It was more than I was expecting, so maybe I should request no ice next time lol. They have a pitcher of water at the front counter, which made me want to finish my drinks inside, and then fill up the cups with some H2O prior to leaving. Unfortunately, they had run out of water, and they didn't refill the pitcher. One thing I do want to mention about the drink carrier is that you need to shove the drinks into the slots. I tried setting my Strawberry Hibiscus Tea back inside, but it toppled over easily. Luckily, it was still sealed at the time, so nothing, or maybe a little bit at best, spilled out. The only negative about my last visit was that there was some little kid who came into the cafe trying to sell paletas to patrons who were studying or getting work done inside. Kind of disruptive to the coffee shop ambience I had sought, but he left after a couple of minutes. Overall, I'd be willing to return for a nice refreshing drink next time I'm in Downey!
