There were so many unique things about One Well! It is a brewery in a very large industrial space that was built with all upcycled and reclaimed materials. They promote a TV free environment to encourage conversation, but they offer a large variety of board games and pinball and arcage games. Tara was our server and could not have been nicer. We sat at the bar and she offered us suggestions and samples to help us decide what to order. My husband had the Non- Spicy Jalepeño blonde , Bluestar a blonde ale with blueberry and the Opener. He enjoyed the beers so much we took a 4 pack home! I had the Thorn in my Cider a rasberry cider. Their mug club is different than other breweries. It is a ceramic mug made by a local potterist. A member selects a mug and it is numbered and they become a lifetime member. The mugs are hung up on the ceiling of the two bars. If in the area we would definately stop in again.

They have flights which is a plus. Had a lot of blondes as opposed to IPA heavy which is nice to see but overall did not love any specific beer. Service was great, super friendly, food came out quickly. I'll be back for the bartenders and give a new rotation of beers a try. Food was good not great. Lots of paid arcade games and good vibes!

This place has it all. First of all it's a brewery, the beer was outstanding. I had a flight of five beers, and I liked every one of them. A gose, an IPA, a porter, a dunkel, and a blond coffee ale. The food was next level as well. Not your typical craft brewery food. I have the carbonara. It didn't have the typical style of pasta in it, but it was a delicious dish. Location is also very cool. There's darts and pool and duck pin bowling and a lot of pinball machines and some video games. A lot of board games too. I said at the bar. If you sit anywhere else, it's counter service and they'll deliver your food to you. They sell stickers and merchandise. The staff was all very attentive and very friendly. Seriously, if you like craft beer, you gotta go. There's an outdoor patio as well for nicer weather.

This place was recommended to me by a friend who had found it on a Kalamazoo just by wandering into a brewery that he saw. He recommended it, and we went to eat there and it was *amazing.* For beer, there's a great selection, but I stuck with two and a half pints of the State of Bean, which manages -- somehow -- to combine the flavors of coffee and butter pecan in a blonde in a way that's lighter than your average pecan stout, but doesn't feel overly cloying. Just crisp enough with a blend of flavors to be perfect. The food was also amazing. I ordered a small Holy Moly pepperoni, and needed my friend to finish it. It has two kinds of pepperoni, three kinds of cheese together with an amazing crust. Just absolutely first rate, and I couldn't finish it (but fortunately my friend who was with me did so for me). I got a salad with it, in this case, the Cherry Bomb, although even without a protein, between the cheese chunks and the candied walnuts, was a meal in itself. Not only were the apples and candied nuts great, but the greens were of excellent quality: it's always good to get nice, high-quality greens at a bar. I look forward to visiting here in the future and trying more of what they have on offer.

This was the culminating brewery of a spring break college tour with the boys. And One Well knocked it out of the park. Loved to informal, laid back vibe. Multiple bars. People all over, playing board games, darts, pinball, what have you. Need selection - epic. Pizza - tasty. Wish they were closer, so we could become regulars.

Fun place to take out of town guest with a 13 y.o. The vegan lo mein was fantastic and the vegan dessert was SO GOOD! Cauliflower bites that even my vegetable hating husband likes! The mango slushy was terrific and homemade rootbeer my daughter loves.

Love...love...LOVE! This is like an adult chuckee cheese! Pinball, guitar hero, claw machines. Coupled with amazing brews and delicious food. I'm not from the area- but I would drive to come here. Just has amazing energy, and a fan place for an adult night out, or with the whole family.

It's always a fun time at one well! Board games and pinball galore, excellent food and service, and the vibe is just welcoming.

We went here for dinner on a Sunday evening and it was packed so we ate at their outside picnic tables. We had the Caesar the Day Salad and the Barbie's Q Pizza. Both were really good. I also had a State of the Bean beer which was very good. Servers were very friendly and food arrived quickly.

This is one of my favorite breweries in that state of Michigan. It is rare that a brewery should both good brew and food. The food menu really elevates the experience. I have seen this place expand over the years from small to larger. On one side of the business they have many pinball games and also have a nice covered patio now. It is so popular there was a line of people waiting to get in prior to opening on a Sunday.

The ranch pizza is my jam. Love it. Love the wings. Love the beers. This place is legit. So happy to get to come every year when the medieval conference is in town! One star docked because someone double swiped my card (thankfully my bank caught it!). I don't blame the establishment, and I will be back -- but I'll def will be keeping an eye on things next time. Going to hope this isn't a "fool me once" decision. ETA: I didn't start a tab, so that wasn't an issue that I mistakenly fell into.

We were in Kalamazoo for the weekend for a convention, and stopped here to have lunch before we left town on Sunday, based on all the great reviews here. My only regret is that there isn't a One Well location in north suburban Chicago. I LOVED it! There were plenty of food choices -- I had the Mush Love (grilled cheese, carmelized onions, and mushroom pesto), and added bacon. It was delicious! My husband had the Back To The Grinder, and loved it, too. But to me, what made this place one I want to come back to, over and over again were the beverages. I'm not a big beer drinker, but when I'm in the mood I like reds, ambers, browns, and non-hoppy blondes. There were several of these on the menu, and we found out I could get a 5-selection flight, too. So, I chose a red, an amber, and brown, and then to fill out the flight I was adventurous and chose a jalapeno beer/Bloody Mary combo, and a cherry cider. The first three beers were good, and I'd be happy to drink them again any time, but they weren't anything I'd drive 175 miles to Kalamazoo for. The last two, on the other hand, were absolute SHOW STOPPERS in my book. I brought eight cans of the jalapeno (which is outstanding when mixed with a little Bloody Mary mix or V8) and eight of the cherry cider home, and I'm nursing them carefully until the next time we drive by in a couple weeks, so we can stop and get more! So now I'm trying to figure out how much I can spend to keep myself stocked in these for awhile, since we may not be able to get back for a couple months!

Beer flight- loved all of them! Favorite was Glowbuzz

Great beer, especially the "it's our thing" sour. The food has gotten a little weird but the atmosphere is outstanding.

We chose Brick and Brine to celebrate a very special Anniversary!…read more Brick and Brine provided us with an absolutely phenomenal dining experience!! Our dinner stretched out over a nearly 3 hour time period, but felt like it flew by at the same time! Never rushed, but intentional and SO enjoyed!! Our waiter was fabulous and made sure that our every need (and want!) was met. He went over and above for us and we loved every moment!! I wish I had gotten his name to mention here! We started our evening browsing the cocktail menu. The offerings are vast! We ordered two different kinds of old fashioned options, always a favorite! One had very unique twist and arrived on fire/smoking! The drink continued to have a smoke effect, but this did not highly alter the flavor! It was delicious and fun! "It adds drama" is how our waiter put it, and he was right! :) It was called "Fire House No. 4". Next we perused the appetizer section. The choices were excellent and we landed on the meatballs, going off of recommendations and previous experience! For meatballs, they were indeed quite delicious but if I'm being completely honest I don't think I'd choose them again. I would venture out a little more. The scallops came highly recommended by our waiter. Also highly recommended was the steak tartare! After our appetizer we ordered a wedge salad. This was wonderful! It mimics what you'd traditionally expect from a wedge salad - this one served with multiple small wedges of iceberg lettuce - but the toppings elevate so nicely! Bleu cheese, the most delicious marinated tomatoes, pickled red onions, and the best, most flavorful chunks of bacon! This was a favorite!! It was finally time to decide on entrees. This was tough! There are many choices I'd like to try and we will definitely be back to try some more. Because this was a special meal and we had heard very good things, both of us ordered the ribeye steak. This is a large piece of meat that arrived with mouthwatering presentation. While the flavors were most definitely evident of a quality piece of meat, I would personally not choose this exact entree again. The meat was well cooked, and done to my requested level, but arrived not very warm. I like my food hot and while I acknowledge that a fine steak presentation likely requires a rest time, my own opinion is put off when I feel like my food is in any way on the cold side. I did not complain about this - and it doesn't affect my rating, but it is worth noting and something I'd like to know when making a decision for ordering! Other entrees that I saw coming out around me that I am SO very interested in trying on a future visit were the fried chicken (WOW! The presentation on this dish is NEXT level!) and the salmon! Everything I saw coming to nearby tables looked quite stunning and I'd quite honestly like to try each dish from their menu! ;) This place is quality, it is very evident! We paired our dinner entree with two side items. The side items are large, intended to serve multiple people. We chose the crispy fingerling potatoes and the Brussels sprouts. Both were perfection! We loved them! The Brussels sprouts had SO much flavor! Even the leftovers the next day were so delectable! We finished our meal with the most exceptional dessert! It was a hard decision but we chose the Chocolate Hazelnut Flourless Torte! AMAZING! It was served with an orange creamsicle ice cream which sounds like a strange accompaniment for these flavors but it fit so very well with the dish. The hazelnut crémeux on the side was also exceptional - just a really great dessert, all around! Alongside our dessert we ordered an elevated espresso that was absolute perfection! One of THE best dessert cocktail beverages I have ever had! I highly recommend this either as your dessert or as an accompaniment! So, so good! Even though there were a couple of things during this meal that I personally would not choose to order again, everything was still superb! I can't choose any less than five very deserved stars!! This was such a great experience at a very fine, local, Kalamazoo restaurant!! Be prepared to spend some five star dollar amounts, but also be prepared to receive a five star, not just meal, but entire experience!! ;)

We had a really great waitress, I wish I would have gotten her name! She was doing the job of hostess and waitress to multiple tables, and doing it all very well! We ordered a chicken sandwich and a salad for our lunch entrees! Both were very good and presented very well! While the food is good and quality feels high - the price is also on the high side. For a sandwich and a salad, waters to drink, we spent over $50 for our lunch! Just something to be aware of! While we had time - the experience was not fast. Something to be aware of if needing a quick lunch. The restaurant was not overly busy but the wait was a little long to receive our order. I ordered a salmon salad - the menu nor the website specify if the salmon is wild caught or farmed. Everyone was using their hands to pick up meats and cheese as and jam and fruit! The food was very good and the portion was really large. I am a big eater and this was much. The price was reasonable. The stairs make it difficult for people that need assistance. There is a bathroom upstairs. We had one waiter -the same one- that took the drink orders then took the food orders and took care of the payments! He had bussing help but he was inexperienced and unavailable for guest assistance. The service was horrible! It took one hour to get a cup of coffee. Orders took a long time to arrive another 40 min after coffee. Our check took another 40 min to be produced! After all that a 23% tip was automatically applied!! Wow! Too much under the circumstances. The place is nice with a nice atmosphere and clean. The bathrooms are clean although it ran out of paper. We may try it again but with a different waiter. One more thing... burritos should not be served with toast. Fries or hash browns are a better choice.
