Stopped in at One19 North Main after doing some shopping around Charlotte. I don't know if it's a hidden gem, or everyone knows about this place, but everyone has to try them out. We ordered quite a bit and ended up taking some food home because it was a lot of food. Highlight was the tom yum soup. It was spicy and sour like it should be, and what's great is you can change the spice level to your liking. Wife had the curry and she said it was great, the pad thai was great, too, according to one of my son. Other son had the teriyaki steak and steak was a little over cook and not sure what cut was used, but he said it was a little tough. We also had the sampler appetizer and it was really good. The miso soup was delicious, real tofu was used and broth was rich and creamy. The crispy duck plate was wonderful, it was crispy and rich in flavor, the sauce was little sweet, little salty, little umami. I also had the chirashi bowl, which I didn't even get to, took it home and had it the next day. The only downside to the whole food experience was the finding of a piece of plastic wrapping in the chirashi bowl the next day. All in all, I would definitely recommend this place and will go back and try again. read more

My only complain is why an Asian restaurant in a tiny tiny city like Mount Holly can be so expensive? I don't understand how they figure they can charge those prices in a location that's not in a high traffic area? Under no circumstances should lunch at an Asian restaurant be $60, ever! My boyfriend and I came out here one night on a whim and are so happy we did. The food was fresh and so good, and the service was great. Our server was so sweet and very thorough, the food came out fast, and everything tasted amazing. I got the tuna lover roll and the sexy girl roll and both were equally delicious. Also got fried dumplings (pork) and edamame which were both very good. I got a thai iced coffee which was very sweet, but also good. The location is cute and cozy and we had a wonderful time. We'll definitely be back and I've already kept in mind the things I'd love to try in the future. This has definitely become one of our top favorite sushi places in the area and I'm so happy because it's actually close to home. read more

This is a gem that I am so happy to find. I LOVE Thai and always had to travel into Charlotte to get my fix. The service was great, the staff were very friendly and helpful with menu knowledge. The restaurant is clean and small and fitting for the area. This place has a bar that was full the night we visited, I'm thinking it was the regulars. We ordered two rolls, spring rolls, thom ka and a Thai iced coffee and everything was as prepared well. The thom ka was top notch. It's probably the best thom ka I've had within a 50 mile radius. Ordered One19 for family visiting from out of town. We were very excited to try with our of town visitors because vegan food is not easy to find in Gaston county. We placed an order online and drove from Belmont to pick up. 2 of our meal items were completely missing and one of the vegan meals was incorrect (red curry v. green.) I called to let the restaurant know and they asked me to bring the food back and they would remake. I had 6 hungry guests waiting to eat and being asked to bring the food back felt like they did not believe me. Upon arrival to pick up the remake, the owner took the mis-made curry back to "show the staff why he was yelling." OK WOW! I finally visited one of the newest additions to our beautiful growing town, and I must say it was amazing. I was skeptical at first because the ambiance was just weird. We choose to sit at the bar. The music was playing really low and it was like everyone was afraid to have a conversation. We had seen a sign on the front door that said outside dining was bar service only. We asked the bartender what that meant and she said, I will be serving you. We asked if she minded if we moved outside and she said not at all, I would be glad to serve you outside. We placed our drink orders and moved to one of the two dining tables out front. Yolonda was the bartender and she was also our waitress and simply amazing throughout the whole night. I will go back just to sit at the bar and converse with this sweetheart! On to the food! best sushi I have had to date. A simple spicy tuna roll, super fresh! The cheese rolls are a must, crab Rangoon's egg roll style, loved them! We shared an order of the Gaeng Keow Wan, which is green curry in coconut milk with peas, carrots, eggplant and Thai basil leaves, with chicken, spice level 3. Delicious with the perfect amount of spice. This was plenty to share with leftovers. Oh, and we tried two types of SAKE! I am in love with this place and will be a regular! read more

She is also the reason we returned again the next day for lunch. zero stars! I had been here once before and food wad ok so one day leaving work I called in to place a pick up order. Less than five minutes later, I called to ask them if I could dine in instead. The host said yes, so I parked and came in. It was so hot I was looking forward for one of their thai tea. As soon as the host sat us down the server (blond - I don't have her name) came in and told me I could not eat there, there were other customers pretty close and they all looked at us, i felt like I had done something wrong, so I asked her what she meant and she said I had placed an order and I needed to take it dine out, so I told her I had called and asked if that could be changed and she said that I needed to take my food outside and that I could sit in their uncovered front patio METAL CHAIRS, I looked at the weather on my phone at it was 100F (feels like 106) this was 1pm when the sun was at its highest. I asked her if she'd sit down and eat there with this heat, and she told me that yes, she would feel good. I asked her to cancel the order and walked out. I touched the metal chairs; there's no way that someone could sit down to eat comfortably. I don't appreciate her tone, if she had rules to follow there were ways to explain them and not make us feel like we are being walked out and banned for changing from take out to dine in in 5 minutes. If the food was un container and they would have charged us extra for placing them in plates that would have been accepted but I feel like she was just rude, having a bad day and total disregard to customers not just me but the people that were eating nearby heard and looked at me with disbelief. Note the host was nice, the server needs to find a way to be discreet, kind about your policy. She can't treat customers like she treated me. She could have asked me to order more food and take the one home, I would have. read more

The chicken is sparse in dishes, and I swear the prices are blown up. $32 for 5 steamed dumplings (can't call them pot stickers if you don't put them into a pan and crisp the bottom, hence sticking to the pot; also they lack filling), and Masaman chicken curry, with about 2-3 ounces of chicken in the dish. The portions are getting pretty thin of meat, consistently; not the first order like this. I'm not seeing as much value as I did when they first opened. read more

We had dinner here tonight, we arrived around 630pm it wasn't very busy but others were also seated, we sat down and ordered a couple of beers and an appetizer which all came in a timely manner, our waitress brought my husband the wrong beer but it wasn't a big deal, we then ordered some noodles for our toddler and a couple of sushi rolls. Our server never checked on us after this, thank God the noodles for our toddler came in a timely manner to keep him entertained, we waited close to and HOUR for TWO sushi roll! Again our server never checked on us or explained why it took so long, she finally came around to clear off the plates we had stacked she also took my half empty beer which I was still drinking and paid $7.50 for. All in all I paid close to $70 for a meal that wasn't even good. We won't be back, save yourself the time energy and money and go somewhere else. read more

Good food but the lunch prices are more than I'm willing to spend. I wish they had more affordable options.

I love sushi, and this restaurant has some delicious options. However, I would order more sushi rolls more often if I was able to modify the sushi rolls or add comments on Uber Eats and other delivery apps. For example, I don't like tempura flakes on my sushi rolls, but I'm not able to request that they be left off. It would be great if there was a way to customize my order like that. Also, I would really love to see more sushi rolls with crab salad! It's one of my favorite ingredients, and I think it would go really well with some of the other flavors they offer. Maybe they could even create a special roll with crab salad as the main ingredient? I would definitely order that! The only sushi roll with crab salad also has shrimp tempura on the inside which I dislike in addition to disliking tempura flakes. I also like roles that have been baked, such as volcano rolls. Baked rolls are common at other sushi restaurants and are definitely missing from this menu. Overall, this is a great sushi restaurant with lots of tasty options. I just wish there was a bit more flexibility in ordering to make it even better. If they added the ability to modify rolls or add comments, and added some more crab salad options, I would be a regular customer for sure. read more

Giving 3 stars because I got sushi; the rainbow roll and spicy tuna. Two pieces into my spicy tuna roll I felt a weird crunchy texture, which I thought was shrimp shell at first, but upon pulling it out of my mouth, it was plastic. I suppose it was accidentally left around the imitation crab. Not a pleasant experience pulling plastic out of your mouth and having to remove it from the remaining pieces. read more
