Seamless online order and pickup! They text when order is ready, was ready 6 mins before my scheduled time. Ordered pork pad se ew spice level 3 (spicy!!) very yummy. Lunch deal Summer rolls also super fresh and delicious Parking lot right in front.

Gaeng Panang

Ruined this place once Pim, the sweet older lady retired and new owners took over. I got the same order I've always gotten last night, Panang Curry. More expensive, way less flavor, and now you get half the amount that you used to. Won't be returning.

Lemongrass soup, massaman curry, panang curry, fresh spring rolls, and the rice that came with both curry dishes.

Basil Thai Cuisine is one of Uptown Charlotte's longtime favorites, and after dining here with a…read moregroup, I can see why. My biggest piece of advice: bring friends. The menu is extensive, portions are generous, and this is the kind of place where ordering a variety of dishes and sharing family-style is the way to go. That's exactly what we did. We sampled everything from fresh basil rolls, crispy egg rolls, fried wontons, and other appetizers to curries, noodle dishes, vegetables, duck, chicken, and more. The basil duck was outstanding, the red curry was rich and flavorful, and the ginger chicken was another favorite at our table. Every dish arrived fresh, hot, and beautifully prepared. The cocktails were equally impressive. Colorful, creative, and well-balanced, they paired perfectly with the bold flavors coming out of the kitchen. The restaurant itself is beautiful, with an open-concept kitchen that adds energy and excitement to the dining experience. Service was attentive, friendly, and efficient, even on a busy evening. Now for the only downside: the prices. Basil Thai is not inexpensive. Some menu items are priced more like what you'd expect in San Francisco than Charlotte. The portions are generous and the quality is excellent, but be prepared for the bill if you're ordering cocktails, appetizers, and multiple entrées. Parking can also be a little challenging since it's located in a busy Uptown area. Plan on using a nearby parking garage and walking a short distance to the restaurant. That said, if you're looking for a special night out, authentic Thai flavors, generous portions, beautiful cocktails, and a lively atmosphere, Basil Thai is well worth a visit. Life is too short not to eat well, Charlotte. Get out there and eat your way through it.

I was also lucky enough to meet the owner of the establishment who clearly cares for the comfortably and wellbeing of the guests.

The aroma alone lets you know you're about to experience something special. The food? Simply outstanding. Every dish bursts with fresh, vibrant flavors and that perfect balance Thai cuisine is known for--sweet, spicy, savory, and tangy in harmony. The curries are rich and beautifully spiced, the Pad Khee Mao ( Drunkin Noodis) perfectly cooked with just the right texture, and the stir-fries are loaded with crisp vegetables and high-quality ingredients. You can truly taste the freshness in every bite. Portions are generous without being overwhelming, making the pricing even more impressive. For the quality, presentation, and flavor you receive, the value is exceptional. What truly sets this place apart, though, is the customer service--especially from Alicia. Alicia goes above and beyond to ensure every guest feels valued and cared for. She is attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable about the menu, and happy to make thoughtful recommendations based on your preferences. Her warm personality and genuine enthusiasm elevate the entire dining experience. It's rare to find service that makes you feel so welcomed and appreciated. Thai House at Cotswold doesn't just serve amazing food--it delivers a complete experience. Incredible flavors, fair pricing, generous portions, and top-tier customer service make this restaurant a must-visit. If you haven't been yet, you're truly missing out.

There are some amazing Thai restaurants in NYC so that sets the bar pretty high. I ordered the Pad See Ew with shrimp which is definitely one of my "go-to" Thai entree selections. A couple of things I noticed. First of all they used regular broccoli in their version. I have never once seen regular broccoli and not Chinese Broccoli in this dish. That was disappointing. Then the shrimp had the talk on it. I've never had a Thai restaurant leave the tail on in a noodle dish. I found it to be annoying to have to wrestle with it. Unnecessary fir a noodle dish. Finally the sauce wasn't as sweet as o was used to. The recipe is usually made with a SWEET soy sauce. This was clearly regular soy sauce and quite honestly it tasted good first bit but there was a weird aftertaste that I can't describe which made me want to stop eating it even though the first bite was ok. Not sure what that aftertaste was but I'm not a fan and will probably never go back to try something else there. I'm gonna go gargle with Listerine now. The restaurant is cute, clean and in a great location but not authentic Thai in my eyes.

The restaurant has an eclectic, mismatched décor that felt more cluttered than charming. Combined with the sticky menus and food scattered across the floor, the space had an overall dirty feel. The pho was served with lemon wedges instead of lime. When I asked for lime, the server looked at me without saying anything and walked away. She eventually returned with lime wedges, so I assume she heard my request. The pho itself was decent, but nothing particularly memorable. Service felt rushed, and the staff seemed too busy to be attentive. It gave the impression that stopping by our table was an inconvenience rather than part of the dining experience. Given the restaurant's strong reputation and glowing reviews, I expected a much better overall experience.

Our table of four rolled up right before closing (15 min late to our reservation) and we were able to be seated with a gentle reminder that the kitchen would be closing soon (totally understandable). We were taken care of swiftly and didn't feel rushed at all (we tried to be considerate. We were one of two or three tables at this point of the night). I've had takeout from here before and liked it (one of the Thai dishes). My veggie sushi roll when I dined was perfect. Service was perfect. The only thing I wished for was a few more vegan options on the menu as I expect a little more variety at an Asian fusion restaurant. When we arrived, I told the hostess that I was back for more after having such a great experience with the food truck. She informed me that the restaurant was not affiliated with the food truck, but added that they were even better. I ordered the same dish I had at the food truck, Drunken Noodles with Chicken, and my boy ordered a ramen soup of some sort (I can't remember the exact name). When the food arrived, I wasn't overly impressed. My dish wasn't bad, but it just didn't have the same flavor or wow factor as what I had from the food truck. My boy wasn't a fan of his soup either. He commented that the ramen noodles looked like the kind you can buy at the grocery store. The flavor wasn't terrible, but it wasn't good enough for him to eat much of it, and he didn't even want to take the leftovers home. Overall, I'd call it an average dining experience. The food was okay, but it didn't live up to my expectations, especially after such a great food truck meal. I don't plan to return.
