This is one of my favourite places for take-out. You can call in ahead - I usually do so the day before, so I can just pick up the next day. I still get there early before they open but they usually give you an approximate timing of when is feasible for pick up since they are a really small kitchen. It seems all family run and I think it's usually the son who handles the orders. The portions are ginormous, but mind you, a lot of it is noodles and rice. It's slightly greasy, but really delicious. I love the laksa and char kway teow the most. They pack everything up in foil with cardboard slats for easy transportation. I've heard great things about this place but didn't ever get a chance to try it since they are only open a few days a week. You can now order one day in advance which I recommend you doing so you can pick it up at your desired time and not have to wait. The email to order online one day in advance is one2snack@gmail.com. Be sure to make note of the type of noodles you like for the dish and if your spice level. We ordered the Curry Laksa with mixed noodles and the Char kway teow with flat rice noodles. I also wanted to order their dessert items but the owners said they would resume them in September. The Curry Laksa was good. I do wish there was a touch more coconut flavour to the dish but overall, if you are craving for a laksa, this one will hit the spot. The real winner is the Char Kway Teow. It had this really good charred smokey flavour, along with the different types of meat (pork and shrimp) stir fried with soy sauce. By chance came here since I was visiting a friend in Scarborough. Great take out place for Malaysian food! I could taste the coconut milk and chili in their laksa. Came with authentic Dow Pok (my favourite tofus!!), chicken, bean sprouts, vermicelli and egg noodles. Delicious! Best Malaysian spot in the city. It might not look very impressive but the food speaks for itself. At this point you should call ahead of time when ordering take out because of the extremely long wait. Sometimes you need to order days in advance by email BUT THEY ARE WORTH IT !! I would recommend the laksa (as you've seen in countless of their photos) and the nasi lemak (weekends only) but you can't go wrong with any of the menu items. This take out spot is run but an honest couple and son who try to push out authentic delicious malaysian cuisine. They know all the regulars by name and help carry out large orders into your car, even though they are alway swamped with orders. That's the relable hospitality you can expect. Honestly one of the best hole in the wall spots in Scarborough. This place is awesome. The only negative thing I have to say is that it sucks when they run out of something, but it's also probably the reason why it's so good. First off, they're really helpful when it comes to deciding what you want to do with your meal (spiciness level, noodle options) I hands down will recommend the food here (not that I've tried it all- although I definitely plan to)!!! Thanks to my coworker and Yelp for letting me know about this place..very yummy food, only downfall is the wait time but u can always call in advance and/or order the night before to ensure you get what you want minus the minimum 1 hr waiting time... this is a very very small restaurant/joint that gives gives you comfort Malaysian food, the total number of seats was under 10. Considering the fact they are only open Thursday- Sunday each week it makes it a bit difficult to come when you want to. Whenever, I feel like Laksa, I would have to check to make sure its not M-W. They also take annual vacations every year cuz I wanted to try it right after I heard about it, I called many times and thought cuz they were busy they weren't picking up but I went and realized they were closed. I finally had some really delicious, AUTHENTIC Malaysian food thanks to One2 Snacks. It was our first time so we did not know that we had to order way ahead of time. We ordered upfront and had to wait 2 hours because of the big backlog of orders for the day. It was worth it, since the laksa and the char kueh teow were so good!!! The laksa was the best laksa that I've had - one of the ultimate comfort foods that everyone needs to try. I've tried it with mixed noodle types and IMO, I think the very thin rice noodles were the best kind of noodles to go with the laksa as they soaked up the delicious, fragrant curry soup the best. Perfect spice level for medium spicy. The laksa was also very filling for one person. You can easily split that between two people. The char kueh teow was excellent - probably the best that I've had! It wasn't overly greasy like most char kueh teow and they had just the right amount of spiciness for their "mild" spiciness level (your girl can only handle so much spice in one day). The portion was very big and can fill two people. I wanted dessert but apparently they've sold out within the first two hours of opening. Really wanted to try the kueh angkoo but oh well. We ended up going to Gourmet Malaysia to get prepackaged kueh instead (still good but I'm sure the fresh ones would've been best at One2 Snacks). One of the owners was really patient and nice - he was organized, knew which orders people wanted, and gave me the email address for dessert orders! Super rare good service for Asian restaurants lol. Came to visit Toronto from Vancouver and found this place on Yelp. Was wanting to see what the hype was about and I can see why they have high ratings. I ordered the Char Kway Teow with and order of 6 pieces of curry puffs. Also got 1 of each kuih lapis, talam and dadar which are all desserts. The authenticity of flavour of the fried noodles was on point and the portion was extremely generous. Ratio of meat (including shrimp) to noodles was also balanced. The curry puffs were seasoned to perfection with the right traditional Malaysian spices. Served crispy and hot. The desserts were very tasty. The coconut milk and pandas flavours are bold and sweetness was just right. Was there at 11am on a Sunday when they just opened and already there was a small line up. The server was very professional and patient with the rapid orders and maintained a genuine smile! This place is recommended by my Malaysian friend so I assumed it is authentic. This little store is always packed with customer no matter it was lunch time or later afternoon like 3nish. It can tell how popular it is. I have tried a few items and they are all yummy. Mee Siam - the rice noodles are cooked well, not greasy or choppy (cooked into pieces) or too soft. If you eat a lot of Chinese noodles, you will understand what I mean. Char Tway Teow - I opted for yellow noodles mixed with Tway Teow. I like yellow noodles better because they are very bouncy yet it is just my preference. Chicken satay - that is the best chicken satay I have tried so far. The chicken is juicy and with good grilled aroma. The peanut sauce is spicy with a little sweet taste. I can easily finish 20 pieces if it is AYCE. I also tried a few dessert. Since I love coconut, they are all yummy to me. Dessert usually sold out fast, so I have not tried all the dessert. My friend told me to go on Saturday early to guarantee getting the dessert. The wait is always 10-20 minutes depending on how many people already in line. However, the cashier is always polite and apologizes for the wait. Also, wait is bearable if I know yummy food is coming. The portion is always generous and price is fairly low. seating is an issue, but I usually enjoy the food at the Food Court in the same plaza. This is a neighborhood favorite, the kind that you want to keep secret but has gotten super popular due to the quality of the food and service. To set expectations, this is a hole-in-the-wall (my favorite kind) run by a family (very nice son manning the busy front) which is open on very specific days (closed mon-wed) that does a handful of dishes (all very good). I've recently had the Laksa, Char Kway Teow, and a selection of their desserts again. They haven't skimped on quantitiy or quality over the years and continue to be absolutely delicious. Everything comes out piping hot with alot of 'wok air'. I keep coming for the Laksa which is too spicey for me (even on mild) but too delicious to give up completely. A solid recommendation! Be warned that the space is very small and cramped if you are eating in. Also, its very popular and may take up to 30-45 minutes during peak hours to get your food due to the amount of orders. I would advise to call in earlier and do pick-up. I am very impressed by their service. This place is the real deal, authentic Malaysian food for great prices. Located in a strip plaza, this place is quite unassuming, with a couple of stools for dining in, I'd definitely call it a takeout place. I had heard good things from my Malaysian relatives and they were definitely onto something with this place. We ordered the char kway teow and the curry laksa as well as the curry puffs and everything was amazing. We did have to wait around 45 minutes for our food, but the gentleman at the counter told us to call in advance or even send them an email and let them know what time to pick up the food and they'll have it ready for us when we come in. He was very nice and has a true passion for what he does, I always like to see a restaurant that's really proud of their product. The food came out to around $24 and we had enough for 4 people I'd say, so lots of leftovers. The curry laksa had a beautiful broth, it was creamy, bright and super flavourful, it also came with lots of tofu, fish cakes and chicken as well as way more noodles than one person can eat. The char kway teow was also delicious, filled with grilled chicken, shrimp and fish cakes, the noodles were perfectly fried and this was also very flavourful, which was great as sometimes I find this dish to get kind of boring after a while but that's not the case with this one. Lastly the curry puffs were light and crispy, stuffed with a delicious potato curry filling, these make a great appetizer or snack food, I'd go back just for these, they were so yummy. Overall a great place. Stop going to those Thai/Malaysian/Chinese hybrid restaurants and get yourself an authentic Malaysian experience, the flavours are so intense and amazing, you won't be disappointed. Of note: Malaysians love spice so be careful with which spice level you choose, we had everything mild and still found there to be a bit of spice. I usually like spice so I'd go as far as medium spice but I imagine anything above would be very spicy! Wasn't sure what's the whole fuzz about this place? Came by a Sat morning about 11am. Lucky to go in before 10 other people walked in after me. Ordered curry laksa for stay and a Kaew dui to go. Waited very long , almost 25 minutes, in between there were many customers come and pick up and order. Finally, my laksa arrived and it looks delicious. I guess all that waiting is worth it! The curry soup base was wonderful. Just perfection! Not too sweet or salty or blend. Just a god old nice curry broth with noodles and shrimp and chicken. Portion was big, I was hungry but saw most couples sharing together. Food is undeniable delicious but the place is very very small and not really not much space and understaff obviously. I eat out quite a lot and this is my absolute favorite place because of how delicious the food is here for a good portion and very reasonable price. There isn't any one dish I recommend because I love them all. I've gotten almost everything here. The most popular dishes are obviously amazing but so are the lesser popular ones. It's just what you're feeling that day. I look forward to Thursdays just because they're not open Monday-Wednesday. Only downsides are not food related, which are the lack of space, washrooms, they only accept cash and you need to order ahead of time. I see a lot of people come in and talk about how far they've traveled to eat there and are disappointed because they tried to call in but it went straight to voice mail and now there's nothing left or they have to wait an hour and a half. It's not a unique experience really. That happens to me all the time because this restaurant is poppin'. I always make sure to call in at least 30 mins ahead because the demand greatly exceeds their supply. Sometimes I have to call 5-10 times just because their line is so busy. They usually run out of food 1 hr before closing so order early! If you don't want to make the trip and come home empty handed, pro tip: call in or send them an email. The customer service is top notch. I usually pay them a 10$ bill because a meal is usually slightly under that, and Bryan would hand me $1.25 change with 2 hands. That's the level of respect you get here. If you haven't discovered this place yet, check out their menu online, call in and order something. Their food will change your world. If you're still reading this, I haven't even mentioned the time when I was eating the char kway teow in a public park and I kid you not, a dog came to me from 200m away just to try to get some. One2Snacks may be the longest I've waited to try a place that I was desperate to get to within the city. I split an order of Laksa and Char Kuey Teow with a friend, which was a great way to try a couple things. First off, the place is small and you won't be guaranteed to find a spot since there's about 8 seats. BUT, you can't really complain, especially when you see the price and value of the food. Virtually everything is right around the $8 mark. The portions are massive and nothing is cheaped out, like little meat for example. The Laksa is as easy a 5/5 to review a dish that I've come across. I rarely invoke the "I've been to this place, so I should know...", but I honestly did spend a few months in Malaysia and this is KL-style Laksa measures up. The coconut milk-base broth is delicious and I can't keep it off my mind. The Kuey Teow didn't reach the same heights, but was still very enjoyable. There are a few items on the board that they no longer serve and have no intention of doing so in the future, so they should probably remove it - such as the roti canai unfortunately. Still, it would take several more variables in order to pull down this rating as it's such quality food at phenomenal value. read more

Amazing! I've been here so many times and showed anyone and everyone that likes Laksa/Malay food! I've even brought my mom here when she came to visit and she loved it as much as I did. I've never called in or emailed as suggested by owner, but I know what to expect in terms of waiting when walking in, which could be 45+ minutes sometimes! The wait could be brutal cause there's literally nothing to do in the plaza. The wait is worth the food but the food is even better when you don't have to wait so call in or e-mail a day in advanced so you don't have to be stuck waiting in the cramped dining space with other very hungry patrons! My favourite thing from here is the Wat Tan Hor which has a eggy sauce to it but still captures the "wok-hay" (Smokey flavour from wok) flavour! Within a week of returning from Kuala Lampur, I found myself with a desperate craving for some KL Hokkien Mee and made my way here as quickly as possible. If you're looking for delicious, authentic Malaysian cuisine, this is the place. The menu is small, as is the space inside (with limited seating), and they're only open from Thurs-Sun, but this place is definitely worth a visit. The Hokkien Mee is on par with the ones I tried in KL during my visit, and can even be made with chu yau cha on request! (BELIEVE ME, this is one request worth making!) The Wat Tan Hor is also delicious, noodles cooked perfectly in an egg sauce. Also love the chicken curry (creamy and flavourful) with the roti canai (perhaps not AS good as in Malaysia, but it's close; light with a little bit of a crunch) - no matter what you order, you can't really go wrong here. The service here is incredibly slow, so be ready to wait for your food, and there really isn't much room to wait. I am writing this review as I am eating some Char Kway Teow from One2 Snacks. I first heard of this place in passing during a CBC's Metro Morning segment on Chris Nuttall-Smith, former Globe and Mail food critic. Believe it or not but I went that weekend even though it was on the other side of the GTA. One2 Snacks is more like a take out place than a restaurant - there is a small seating area with limited seats. Despite this, the place is always busy and this is indicative of how delicious the food is. If this is your first time here, these three dishes are crowd-pleasers: CURRY LAKSA - Served in a large bowl with fish balls, shrimp, chicken, and bean sprouts. The curry broth is the highlight of the dish. This is a MUST-TRY item on their menu. I've tried the Singapore Laksa at Restoran Malaysia and it doesn't even compare. CHAR KWAY TEOW - Spicier, tastier version of Beef Chow Fun Noodles (Gon Chow Ngau Ho). MEE GORENG - This dish is a wet noodle with tofu, tomatoes, chilis, shrimp and meat. It keeps great for leftovers. Each dish has a range of spiciness from mild to extra spicy to suit your tastes. I recommend getting the mixed noodles to try for each dish, whenever possible. They are cash only but the prices are very affordable. Authentic. Tasty and Good. Everything on the menu is excellent! Great portions. Recommend the Laksa.

Students at Agincourt C.I. (Which was kind of a rival to my high school) Seem to have lots of options to skip the cafeteria in this strip mall, and One2 is certainly one of them. It's closed 3 of the 5 weekdays (be careful of this!), but Thursday and Friday there must be a lot of kids sleeping through algebra class in a carb coma. Today I got an order of laksa and a char kway teow (which I found similar to Thai "drunken noodles") for take out, and the laksa alone fed 3 adults! - absolutely huge portions, and as you can see from photos of the menu, huge value too. I first heard of laksa after a lengthy discussion on chowhound (http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/928691), and it was nice to have a fresh version for comparison (PS - the packaged product is legit too, and if you can't get it in a supermarket, it's online - I got a case on Amazon in the U.S.). Would I recommend a visitor to downtown Toronto schlep all the way out here for noodles? Probably not, but a visitor SHOULD get out to the burbs to experience the cultural and culinary diversity that is unmatched anywhere else, and so I give it the full 5 here on yelp.
