    Beautiful enclosed terrace setting

Located on the 20th floor of Club Quarters hotel, One40 Rooftop provides an oasis in the clouds. The low key entryway, past the front desk and up a narrow elevator, opens up into a beautiful, naturally lit space. Having an 11:30am reservation on a Monday, meant we had our pick of table. The air-conditioned and enclosed terrace was a choice location to gather for a special occasion with a view. The floor to Ceiling windows face directly at One World Trade and overlook the footprint memorial. To the East you can see the wings over the oculus, which provides a unique perspective that few New Yorkers see. The pre-fixe lunch menu was 3 rounds for $32. The quality and presentation of the food made it 100% worth the visit. Our experienced waiter knew exactly the right balance of professionalism and what comfort level to cater to each table's needs. His warm candor encouraged us to stay and enjoy a round of coffees at the end of our meal. We were welcomed to start with a shot and stay as long as we liked. This is the type of hospitality that I wish more restaurants understood. The cocktails were nearly the same price as our meal, but they had unique ingredients, memorable flavors, and elevated presentations. We were incredibly satisfied with the meal. It was clear that one of the dishes were rushed and careful attention was paid to the temperature and ingredients used. Our waiter mentioned that there is a second outdoor terrace on the opposite end of the restaurant, which offered drinks and small bites as a post-work rooftop option. This really was a gem that I look forward to returning to.

We came to the rooftop as a party of 13 ladies to celebrate a birthday. Grateful they accommodated us, as we made reservations well over a month in advance. Food service was overall good. It took some time for the food to come out, but it was fine. Food was correct and tasted good. Our waitress was great with us. Unfortunately, we did not have a pleasant experience with the Manager. When making the initial reservation, we were in an email exchange with someone from the One40 team. We asked to bring in an outside cake... they responded saying they would be able to cut the cake but may charge a serving fee of $10 per person. When we arrived to the resturant, the rules had changed and we were no longer allowed to cut and eat the cake. We were told we were only allowed to take pictures with it. Respectfully, we understand the health laws, but we were in an email exchange that had said otherwise. When the manager came over to the table, he was EXTREMELY rude and unprofessional. He was accusing us of having a fake conversation with a team member who no longer works there. He claims the employee left 6 months ago, meanwhile the reservation was made a little over a month ago. Instead of apologizing for the inconvenience, he continued to shame us. It was overall disappointing and truly ruined our experience and our entire night. The manager comped some drinks off our bill, but that was after we asked for something to offset our inconvenience. I've never seen a manager react so poorly to a situation like that. It was truly shocking and upsetting.

The host here is amazing and luckily was able to squeeze us in without a reservation! We stayed at this hotel so it was very convenient getting to eat here and check it out. You have to take the elevator to the very top of the hotel to get here. They have the restaurant itself on one side and an outdoor area on the other. We grabbed a drink at the bar and were seated afterwards. We just had dinner and drinks and everything was pretty good. My scallops were slightly overcooked but overall really good and my husband enjoyed his steak. The service was pretty slow and inattentive. A good option for enjoying great views though!

One40 is a rooftop restaurant above the Club Quarters hotel and we went for Sunday brunch. We had a reservation, but it didn't seem to be needed. Possibly because it was a rainy day. Even though the weather wasn't the best, the surrounding glass windows provided great light and views of One World Trade & lower Manhattan. Probably really nice at night as well. The Parisienne toast was the highlight for me. A French toast stuffed with ricotta, Nutella, banana and maybe something else. Top it off with a strawberry reduction. Very tasty, but would have liked to have 2 slices. They also have an outdoor section which was closed due to the rain. Might be a nice place for drinks in the future.

Such a gorgeous rooftop space. They have great service also, I was so happy to see mocktails on the menu. Will definitely be coming back to enjoy the evening ambiance!

Tried to come in Thursday but they were fully booked, so we made a reservation for the next day and requested outdoor seating for the view. Showed up for our 9 PM reservation and got seated inside, we asked to be moved outside but they denied it and said it's only for people who request it... No one took our drink order until 9:24. Drinks were great and we told our waiter we would just do drinks no food, but after that we never saw our waiter again. By 10 PM when the waiter checked in we asked for the check and the waiter never came back, still waited another 10 minutes just to pay. The most crazy part about this is that we are staying at the hotel, idk what we did to be disrespected but this is my first time in New York probably the only bad experience I've had this entire trip on the last day which makes it pretty disappointing. Not worth the time.

Returned to One40 Rooftop for a nice brunch. Had the Two Organic Eggs, Smoked Scottish Salmon Tartine and the Hot and Sweet Crispy Chicken Sandwich - all solid. Our server Brandon and the rest of the staff were terrific. It was a nice sunny day, so also great views of downtown from the restaurant.

Had a team dinner hear and was seated in the patio area overlooking the city. The view is amazing. The cocktails were great especially my old fashion. The burrata and oysters were our appetizer and both were good, but nothing special. I had the daily special which was lobster risotto and was very good. Our waiter was great in the beginning but fell off at the end. It if wasn't for being assigned to this restaurant by my company, I would definitely have gone somewhere else.

After the 911 Museum took all the emotions I had (and I don't have very many), I needed to fuel. I walked over to this rooftop, hoping it would be stellar views. It's more like a peekaboo between a bunch of buildings around it. Not great but tolerable. I loved their take on a tofu salad. Apples and walnuts; it was like I was eating a bag of kettle chips, but make it healthy. I love a great crunchy salad. If you're in the area, solid lunch choice.

Came here for dinner on vacation, short walk from Battery Park. The rooftop vibes are great, the restaurant looked really good. Service was pretty slow, like previous reviews mentioned. We had to flag someone down for the check after our server disappeared for 20+ minutes. The best dish was the duck breast, nice and moist and flavorful. My friend felt the Wagyu wasn't worth the price, but still decent. My other friend enjoyed the salmon fillet, no complaints. The seafood linguine was okay, the pasta was well cooked and the tomato sauce was subtle. The mussels were a little iffy but alright in the end.

FiDi's newest rooftop bar/restaurant really surprised me - oftentimes these places have great vibes but the food/drink is lacking...not the case here! The vibes are great, as you can expect. The menu truly has a great variety and I was pleased with the amount of vegetarian options offered. To drink, I had the Lumen (minus the absinthe spray lol) and it was very tasty (think a STRONG mojito). To eat, I tried the following: -Burrata: delicious and the pesto was fabulous -Eggplant: loved the balsamic flavor, not my favorite item of the evening but still tasty -Fettuccine: surprisingly 10/10! Pasta can be a hit or miss, but this dish had so much flavor. A great vegetarian entree. -Roasted Carrots: my favorite item of the evening, the rainbow carrots were roasted to perfect sweetness. Prices are also fairly reasonable for an upscale rooftop restaurant. Service was a bit spotty but overall I would come back!

Went to One40 Rooftop at the World Center Hotel on a weekday around 4pm. The space was nicely decorated for the holidays, and at that hour it was quiet, with natural light pouring in. The decor is contemporary and the space feels welcoming. Located on the top floor, the rooftop offers great views that immediately elevate the experience. I met someone there for a networking/professional meeting, and we ended up sitting at the bar, which has about five seats. We ordered non-alcoholic beverages, and it turned out to be a comfortable, relaxed setting for conversation. The staff was helpful and attentive. Aside from one family having a late lunch, we essentially had the place to ourselves. I noticed they offer happy hour deals, and the other food/drink menu prices were in line with typical NYC rooftop pricing. If you're in the area, this is a good option for an early afternoon meeting or a low-key catch-up with a view.

I came here last night with my boyfriend and I had such a great experience. The view was just stunning and we came at sunset hour which made it perfect. The food was also delicious and very filling - we got a combination of a bunch of plates. The eggplant was delicious I would definitely recommend as well as the beet salad. For our mains we got the duck and wagu and both were great (you can't go wrong with either). The service was also really good - everything got out in a timely manner. Would definitely recommend for a date night or nice dinner out!

It delivered on both fronts, but I really was blown away by the wine. The sheer quantity of available wines is really impressive, and the sommelier was able to recommend a rare wine that fit our interests (a fantastic, effervescent, creamy Txakoli that had lovely fruit and minerals). Later, I tried amazing ice cider. The food rundown: -Sesame pizza Bianca: complimentary bread! This was very good and quite sizable. The bottom is entirely encrusted with sesame. -Scallop crudo (rhubarb, shiso): very good and the plating was gorgeous. Meaty scallops with tangy and pungent flavors. -Snowdance chicken (spinach, sherry, thyme): Super tender, crispy-skinned chicken in a savory sherry sauce. -Sea bass (asparagus, hollandaise): I was surprised at how remarkably well this dish worked. The asparagus was so good with the rich, buttery sauce. Definitely a smaller portion, but the chicken was huge so it balanced out. -Potatoes with ramps: Yum. Served hashbrown-style and the ramps were added as little sauce dollops. I loved the space, and by that I mean the ambience and also the literal amount of space we had to ourselves. We got to stretch out in a roomy corner booth. The room featured a lot of exposed brick and grey and utilitarian ceilings, but it manages to be cozy all the same.

We came in on a Friday evening and it was pretty quiet inside. After we were sat down upstairs, it took a long time for our waitress to come to take our order. All three had very strong flavors that were not balanced with the rest of the drink. After we finished our drinks, we waited an especially long time for the waitress to come back, check on us, and give us our bill. It was especially frustrating because we were the only ones in the bar at this point and we could hear them chatting downstairs. Overall, both service and the drinks need improvement.
