Jeremy's work
Carla A.

Jeremy is THE COLOR GOD! He is THAT good that you might need to book your appointment two months in advance, but once you see him you will never look back! Please look no further and make Jeremy your go-to colorist in DC.

It's hard for me to overstate how much I love the consistency of this salon. After a year away, returned to get a cut and color. I have yet to find a better colorist than Heather. My blond balayage was perfect and Lydia was a master with the scissors. Love the attention to detail both took, from consultations all the way through. You cannot go wrong here

I tried 3x for the old Roman bathhouse and had to resort to calling the main bathhouse to reserve. The lady on the line was very knowledgeable and warm. Five people reserving and 1 person reserving all get the same one room. There were 4 of us in our group and we got this room for 30 min. It is pretty small but would be fine for 2 people, I feel. The water was very hot and we did have to add cold water at intervals. It's our fault for doing this in the first week of June (weather was about 85 and sunny outside!) I can see this being a spot of refuge in the colder months! There was a tank of cold spring water for drinking. This bathhouse just had 1 bathroom that was roomy enough to change in but no other changing rooms. The receptionist and staff were very nice. I appreciated the printout with all the minerals in the water listed. That was informative and so interesting. We also additionally bought a jug to load up their mineral spring water! This was not a cheap activity but we loved the park and the attraction and history behind everything. First person is $32 and then additionally $22. There are age discounts.

OK, REWIND! Unwind Wellness has won me and my partner over…read more We really haven't stopped daydreaming about our experience ever since and are looking forward to our next spa date. We had such a pleasant encounter with the receptionist, Nicole, from the moment we walked in and were placed with 2 masseuses who were top-tier and gifted with the art of touch. Our couples massage was beyond rejuvenating and serene for each of us and we were truly able to decompress (and leave a lot of muscle knots behind on the table)! We both left feeling SO much lighter, connected within our bodies and to each other, and grateful we accepted the offer to give Unwind another chance. I am so impressed with the level of intention and care that the owner, Antonio, has displayed in making sure that we were in the absolute best hands the second time around. He was very apologetic that we had an off day on our first visit and really turned things a total 180. It's evident that he is passionate about his business, is extremely detail-oriented (the decor is GORGEOUS!), and has strived to exceed the 5-star reputation his establishment deserves. In a world where self-care tends to be an afterthought or a treat, I'm feeling inspired to carve out time to visit Unwind Wellness on a regular basis. I'm so glad I found the right match (and might have to gatekeep my masseuse's name because she is THAT good)!

If you're looking for massage therapists who actually do real work, this is the place. I've seen both Helen and Heajin, and they are exceptional in different but complementary ways. Helen is incredible for deep tissue, especially hip work. She goes deep, she's effective, and she is not afraid to work through tension. This is not a light, spa-style massage. It's therapeutic, intentional, and results-driven. Exactly what I want. Heajin specializes in Thai and lymphatic massage, and she is phenomenal. Thai massage is more like assisted stretching, and she incorporates it beautifully. She also took time to explain lymphatic flow, gave me tips on how to support it at home, and clearly cares about long-term wellbeing, not just the session itself. One thing to note: at Unwind, therapists may get on the table with you, especially for Thai or deep tissue work. That's part of the technique and something to be aware of if you're new to that style, but for me it speaks to how seriously they take proper body mechanics and effectiveness. The space is calm, professional, and welcoming, and the level of skill here is outstanding. If you want thoughtful, strong, therapeutic massage from practitioners who really know the body, I highly recommend Unwind.

I had a really lovely experience at Balian Springs recently and would not hesitate to go again. My…read moreprevious experience has been with the day spas in Vegas and The Ritz and I think this was mostly comparable. I have not been to King Spa or Spa World, but it seems this is not like those spas based on other reviews. YMMV. The facilities were exceptionally clean, with employees constantly cleaning and keeping things dry during our day. Everyone we spoke to was super nice and helpful too. The saunas were all quite interesting--my companion and I liked the gold and salt rooms the best. The rooftop pool was so refreshing, we loved the seats with jets and all the little places to gather and talk to friends. The indoor pool was also great, with built in hot tubs and adorable swings on the side. The wrist band, very similar to a magic band at Disney World, was very convenient for paying and locker use. All the common spaces were well thought-out. I did book a massage, but next time I won't because I had enough to occupy me without it--we spent 10 hours! A few notes: - I didn't see this mentioned elsewhere, but you can bring your own refillable water bottle, there are fill stations all over. - The food was fine, nothing exceptional, but if I had to suggest anything, I would have more small meals/snacks available, and at all times. The coffee/smoothie/muffin cafe closed at 4 pm, so your only food options after that time are full meals. It would've been nice to have the option to purchase a protein bar or shake, or a yogurt, or a smaller version of the charcuterie board, something like that. - The spa services say they add a 20% service charge, which is ambiguous, but then the bill has an additional line that specifies tip. When I checked out at the end of the day, the "service charge" was listed as gratuity and then the tip was separate. While I didn't mind the extra tip, my masseuse was very good, I wish it had been more clear what that "service charge" actually was. - I went on a Tuesday and was told by an employee that Tuesday - Thursday are the least crowded and Monday is usually packed. The crowd level during our visit was always very manageable, we didn't have to wait for anything and never lacked seating, but I could see how it would be annoying on a weekend or a holiday. - Not on the website, but teachers get 20% off admission by showing an ID. That brings the weekday price to $104, which is much more reasonable and IMO, worth it if you plan to spend the whole day. Overall, it was very relaxing and enjoyable!

I booked specifically requesting exfoliation and extractions, only to be told at the appointment that they do not offer extractions at all, something never communicated beforehand. There were multiple opportunities for this to be communicated. The facial itself felt undertrained and underwhelming, with little visible result from the gua sha treatment. Product also got into my eye during the service, and caused significant burning that continued afterwards. I had to stop the facial to notify the esthetician. I sent professional feedback privately before posting publicly and was told management would follow up. A week later, I still haven't heard back. Great atmosphere, but the service quality and communication did not reflect a luxury spa experience.

The healing waters of the hot tub felt absolutely amazing. I also got the chance to experience the pool, the salt room, and the eucalyptus bath. It was truly relaxing, and I can't wait to go back!!! Food-With the package for my friend's party, we had a catered lunch. The grilled chicken sandwich was tasty yet a little dry. Not sure if this is offered with just the services offered at the spa. The complimentary White Ginger Pear tea was delicious. Ambiance-Spa ambiance was amazing, with lots of essential oils such as Lavender and Eucalyptus. My girlfriend had a 90 min Healing Waters session booked for this past Saturday morning and asked if I would like to join her. I am so glad that I did and I really needed this self care day. So what the Healing Waters entails are six water therapies that relieve pain, reduce stress, and restore the body, mind + soul through a series of thoughtfully curated water therapies. and you can add a session in the crystal salt room and enhance your immune system, purge toxins, and soothe and repair skin concerns. Right now the healing waters for 90 mins is going for $50 and if you want to get the robe an slippers it is an additional $10. You can also bring your own robe and pool slides if you like. My favorites out the session were the relaxing hot tub, cold plunge and the steam room. The steam room really pulls out the toxins in your body. They have really nice locker room area is really nice they have secure lockers for your belongings, a sauna and nice showers. Their wellness lounge offers clients time to relax before or after spa services or mindful movement classes. A wonderful place to share a cup of our signature tea with friends. Within the spa, a serene quiet lounge is available for use for those who prefer to relax in solitude. And if the spa is not your thing, they do offer mindful movement classes that are centered around self-care and are offered in a supportive group environment. Traditional yoga, barre, cardio and mediation sessions are available 7 days a week. I am really big on self care and centering my mind and body and The Pearl Spa gets it right. I highly recommend this place to just try just once. I will say Saturdays are really busy, so if you are looking for more quieter days, I would go during the week. The next time I will go will probably be a Tuesday SYOY

Omg I would give -1 stars if I could. My husband had to go…read moreout of town for a funeral and wanted to plan something special for me for Mother's Day. He doesn't know anything about spas or pricing, so he called over to the four seasons. All they had available was a 20 min hydrofacial (bc it's a busy day, duh). The issue is that they charged THREE HUNDRED AND SEVENTY FIVE DOLLARS (yes, you read that right - $375) for a 20-MINUTE hydrofacial. Aka someone rubbed lotion on my face for 13 minutes. when I inquired about this very exorbitant bill, they said - this was the price agreed upon via email, according to our dynamic pricing. (In a very rude, snide tone, with a fake smile). I called my husband who said - yes, I agreed to that, but I was told you would have access to very nice amenities for several hours. LOL! Very nice? Yes, I know the four seasons name SHOULD have very nice amenities. This locker room was so small and so crowded that I couldn't even walk 1 step without bumping into someone. The person giving us a tour kept apologizing for how messy it was ("sorry, it's a really busy weekend for us") - no towels out, etc. there is a small hot tub - sorry, that's not exactly novel. There are two lounging areas. One with three chairs that look out onto... nothing, just a window with frosted glass that you can't see through. Six lounging chairs, and one small table outside that does have a nice view. (This is the only view in the entire spa). They have a small sauna room also. Nothing out of the ordinary, and not up to expectations for what is supposed to be a four seasons spa. On top of that, every single person in that spa was sitting/lying scrolling on their phones. In what world are phones allowed in a spa, let alone in a "clothing optional" hot tub room??! So I paid four hundred dollars for 13 mins of a facial massage (which WAS nice) and then sat outside at a random table for an hour. left quickly because there wasn't anything else to do to kill time. I just cannot believe that a place can charge that much for a service. Totally inappropriate, waste of money, do not recommend.

My favorite part is the vitality pool, heated stone chairs, sauna, and lounge. It was great to relax with those amenities. Everything was extremely clean. The vitality pool/sauna area is separated by gender and clothing optional. However, phones are allowed, and while it is fine to have one in a robe pocket, phones should not be out when others are around, especially in an area like that. But that is allowed, so be wary. Our massages were fine, but nothing we would rush back to or pay for again. I'd want to try a body scrub or wrap, my typical spa service. I'd also love to visit in warmer weather and use the outdoor pool. I am very much looking forward to returning.

If you're used to Atlanta amd Houston location please lower your expectations. You have to schedule service before you go in. I wasn't aware if that so please be mindful. They also take your shoes before you go back. My mind was blown. Once I got back it looks the same except the pool area is massive with cool jet powered pockets. If you forget something there is a purchase price instead of gratis. Like toothbrush, deodorant, toothpaste, etc. Interesting that you can wear swimsuits. I didn't have one because I thought they weren't allowed. I was a bit disappointed in my scrub but I think it's because it was moved up, shrle came looking for me, she was irritated, I was annoyed, she asked for a tip 5X and I kept saying "No". I did use a GroupOn and that was dope. I would definitely use again just for the 30 min massage alone. Kim was amazing! It also got moved up 15 mins. It has a traditional layout as other locations but they have 3 upstairs spaces for massages, gym, and smoking. The resturant was closed while I was there so I set up myself up for some $9 Ramen. Yeah, I know. Stupid move. I was hungry. Although, small they tossed in a few couches and chairs. There's 5 rooms with temperatures listed. I thought that was cool. I can see why some people say the pool water smells musky. It does seem that way a bit, but honestly, I'm not sure if it's just because the water is warm. The spa treatments are pricey, but it's understandable. The staff could use some hospitality training. The girl at the front desk was nice, but the guy could definitely use some training. The food is affordable and the portions are huge. I got bibimbap for $16 and shared it with my mom, so it was definitely worth the money. I would come back again, especially on my birthday, because they have a promotion for free admission if it's your birthday. They also have a bunch of other promotions that I don't remember, but they're worth checking out. Really wish they would open one in Maryland again.
