The quality of food was fresh, prepared just right, and the service was fast and welcoming. It's in the nice down town Redlands area so never too busy or loud, in the small city. Our server, Aubrey, was also AWESOME so definitly give her a raise lol. My buddies and I were wanting some steaks and drinks after work, and we were not disappointed. 100% will be back. The only thing to be weary of is if you get outdoor seating. Many folks downtown tend to smoke marijuana so sometimes the smell will make its way into the patio area.

Definitely a fun spot for a fancy cocktail--or, in my case, a mocktail. I ordered the Hibiscus Cooler and LOVED it. The food was more of a mixed bag. I ordered the Poblano Burger, and the deep-fried poblano was SO good. Unfortunately, I ordered the patty medium and it came out overcooked. The fries were also a little undercooked, and the burger could have used more sauce. Tasty overall, just not quite hitting the mark. Then came dessert... and this is where the experience really went downhill. I ordered the crème brûlée because I've had it elsewhere and had been craving it. While waiting, I stepped away to use the restroom. When I came back, my entire table--including my drinks--had been cleared. I had literally just ordered dessert and never indicated I was finished. The server seemed confused when I questioned it, which made the whole thing even more awkward. And unfortunately, the crème brûlée itself was also a miss. The sugar topping was torched too long and had a noticeably bitter, burnt flavor. The server (and possibly a manager) apologized, and I was given $2 off the drink, which I appreciated. Between the okay food and the especially strange service and lack of communication the experience left me disappointed. The atmosphere is definitely the highlight, but for me, the service experience was enough to say I probably won't be back anytime soon.

This is the type of fine dining that we never expected to find in this area! The server immediately pulled out my chair and placed my napkin in my lap. He was courteous and friendly the entire time. He stayed within eyesight of our table and we never had to wait for him as his attention didn't miss a beat. The food was delicious. I definitely recommend the lobster bisque! This review is specifically for the bar area…read more Upon arrival on a Friday evening, my friend and I were told that the restaurant was booked for the night and that we would have to eat at the bar, which was a first-come, first-served situation. Let me tell you, it's not. It's a stalk-like-a-hawk situation where you literally hover behind the people you think are leaving, and if you're wrong and someone else is at those seats, the bartenders are going to let them have those seats, even if they showed up after you. A different couple who showed up after them even asked someone in the middle of eating to move seats so they could sit together because they weren't allowed to move the open seats next to each other. The arrangements were getting so messy that Danny (I think a barback?) was trying to create some organization, but the number of people showing up and waiting was too much for one person, so he apologized to us because he witnessed both groups (who arrived after my friend and I get seats), and we were still waiting for the initial person we thought was leaving to leave. After 15 mins of answering emails and holding the two seats on each side of them, a bartender asked them to move to the cocktail lounge, and they'd bring any future drink orders to them there. The seating situation was so bad, that the hostesses, idle staff members, my friend and I were talking crap about how disorganized the situation was and how aggressive the guests were. They mentioned that this arrangement just started about two weeks ago (now, three by the time I write this). After 30 mins of waiting to sit, I can tell you that this food isn't worth it. The drinks are good, the lobster bisque was incredible, but then, the final course, the steak we ordered was room temperature, had no flavor other than being over-salted, had a lot of fat, and was mediocre at best. Something you could make at home, and honestly, probably better. Lessons of coming here, come alone, be aggressive if there are open seats, and be ready to drink because multiple bartenders asked if we wanted more drinks through and after our meal. From what I can put together from conversations around us is that this is a place you come to if you have comps if you're a rewards member, or you're trying to impress your date before a show.

From the very beginning, owners Jason and Katie were wonderful to work with. They did a great job showcasing the property and explaining how the space can be transformed to create a beautiful, timeless wedding. The pricing was also within our budget, which was a huge plus for us. We chose a package that included almost everything we needed, including the majority of our vendors. The only vendors we were responsible for finding ourselves were the photographer, officiant, and bakery for our wedding cake, which made the planning process much more manageable. The food and drinks provided through their vendors were absolutely delicious--our guests raved about how good everything was, and that was definitely one of the highlights of the day. Our day-of coordinator, Abby, was also fantastic. She really helped bring our vision to life for both the ceremony and reception and made sure everything flowed smoothly on the wedding day. We also received a complimentary upgrade to their scentscaping, which was such a subtle but lovely touch and added something special to the overall atmosphere. Areas for improvement One thing we would have appreciated was receiving a more detailed, itemized breakdown of the package pricing, specifically showing how much of our total was allocated to each individual vendor. Having that information upfront would have made it easier to understand exactly where our money was going. We also felt that the planning process could have been a little more structured. At times, it felt like we had to figure out what our next steps were or what needed to be completed and when. Having a step-by-step planning guide or timeline from the venue would have made the process feel less overwhelming and given us more confidence that we weren't missing anything. Thankfully, we had ChatGPT, Pinterest, and some very helpful friends to guide us along the way! Overall, we truly enjoyed our experience with Veil Wedding Loft. The beautiful space, delicious food and drinks, wonderful vendors, and incredible support on our wedding day helped create a celebration that we--and our guests--will remember for years to come. We would absolutely recommend Veil Wedding Loft to couples looking for a beautiful, timeless, and all-inclusive wedding experience in Redlands.

We decided on weekend brunch, especially since there were endless mimosas. Our kids have a recollection of being down the class umbrella alleyway, so they were amazed when they saw it. A short while later, we were in front of the restaurant and were quickly seated by the staff. They didn't ask if we preferred outdoor or indoor seating, but we were seated inside right next to the kitchen. We heard that indoor seating was better for service anyway. The interior of the restaurant was "very fancy," and my daughter thought we were in a date spot. We knew we wanted French fries and opted for the garlic Parmesan fries. At first, the kids were weirded out by the arugula, but my daughter ended up enjoying it, noting the bitter and salty notes. My son devoured the entire plate (not the arugula) and asked for another round. We also ordered the lemon ricotta French toast, made from Brioche bread, lemon blackberry butter, whipped lemon ricotta cream, blackberries, mint, and maple syrup. They perfected the crispy exterior, which contrasted well with the fluffy bread. My wife ordered the breakfast pizza--a focaccia pizza topped with marinara, ham, spinach, fresh tomato, red onion, a sunny-side-up egg, and herb-infused maple syrup. This was really delicious with the tart, fresh tomatoes, the salty ham, and the sweet maple syrup. I ended up eating the sunny-side egg by itself, so we didn't get to try the pizza with the egg. Lastly, I ordered the steak and eggs, but it was sadly a small portion. I ordered it medium rare, and it came out medium. The seasoning was a bit strange and would have been better with simple salt, pepper, and garlic. The mimomas really made my wife happy. She started feeling it pretty quickly. She chose the pineapple juice while I got the traditional orange. Not sure if the alcohol made the food better or the other way around. I was brought to reality when I saw the expensive bill, though.

I look back nostalgically at those meals, and we occasionally look for a fondue restaurant around the time of our anniversary on December 28th. We've tried the Melting Pot and Rok N Fondue in the past with some success. Being in Redlands on the 27th, we made reservations for Rok N Fondue. I was worried as their Open Table link was not working, but I left a reservation request on their phone and they were quick to text back a confirmation. Upon arriving, we were warmly greeted and taken to our table. We ordered their Rok N Cheddar cheese fondue to start. It was served with cubbed bread, tortilla chips, granny smith apples, carrot, celery, and cauliflower. The cheese consistency did not seem to ever properly coalesce. We did a lot of twisting a tearing of cheese to get the provided dippers covered and out of the mix. The taste was good, but the celery and cheese was not a good mix. I ordered the chicken breast, and Robin tried the Bourbon Street - Cajun seasoned petite filet, chicken, shrimp, and andouille sausage. The fondue entrees come with potatoes, mushrooms, and broccoli. The chicken was okay especially using their provided dipping sauces - Chimichurri, Teriyaki BBQ Sauce, and Sweet Chili Wasabi. The vegetables cooked up well and were tasty. Other than the precooked andouille sausage, there did not seem to be noticeable Cajun seasoning with the Bourbon Street entree. Overall a good meal, but not great. The service was attentive and friendly and the building itself is beautiful. They provided us a tasty New York Cheese Cake for our anniversary. It was a nice overall experience.

Don"t trust this place to give you a fair or accurate quote or experience for a wedding reception or a clear enough picture of a great experience or outcome. We asked for a tour and instead of letting us know they were remodeling prior to our visit and upgrading to unknowns they still walked us around with no clear picture of what was really changing and or happening. When we walked in they didn't know why we were originally there but yet we had an appointment. We were also very disappointed in the quote which was originally hand written with no clear picture or vendor choices and a horrible menu choice for food options, one page pamphlet, etc. We asked for all inclusive in our first visit, which in first quote we thought was written out, but in our second visit they said it wasn't and had to ask for another quote to be emailed.
