The filling was an under-seasoned ground chicken with a bit of a pasty texture. The slaw served with the potstickers was tasty, but the dipping sauce was incredibly salty. I would not order this dish again. I also ordered a personal BJ's Favorite pizza, and that was really good! The only real downside of this location is that the people at the hostess station are kind of unwelcoming. There is often a group of people at the station who are more interested in chatting with each other than greeting a customer. The main hostess during the day acts like you're annoying her with your request for a table, even though the restaurant isn't that busy. The waitstaff seems to get overwhelmed when it does get busy, so you often have to flag someone down if you need something. Despite the staff problems, I still like BJ's and will return.

He was already speaking with the manager, to accommodate my guests. I let him know that that wouldn't be necessary after all, that my son's uncle and aunt have decided not to stay, after the comments from the hostess. Joel apologized for the unfortunate event, the manager just walked away. I have been here before, and had never encountered an experience like the one they had. We decided to play some slots while waiting, expecting to be seated shortly, but we didn't receive a text until around 7:45 PM saying our table was ready. The experience left me feeling brushed aside and unwelcome. I was looking forward to enjoying a nice steak dinner, but instead I left feeling like my business didn't matter. It was frustrating to see an almost empty bar while being told there was no availability. As a loyal customer, that was disappointing. A little more hospitality and flexibility could have turned the evening around. Instead, it made me question whether certain guests are treated differently than others. My cousin, the bride, kept saying how great Katie was, and how helpful she was during the process. My cousin frequently remarked, "we trust her so much", which is great. Also, as a first time wedding officiant, she really made it easy for me. Also, Morgan the DJ, another venue provided vendor, was great to work with. The venue is on the second floor, which can be a challenge or an absolute deal breaker for some. They do have a chair lift though, which several of our attendees used to get upstairs. Parking could be a challenge, as the venue is located in historic downtown Redlands. According to my cousin, parking at the CVS was allowed, but I'd double check with the venue. Our friends chose signature cocktails: the Turbo Granny and the Electric Feel. Now the Electric Feel was not just a drink, it was an experience. Our server explained to our friend that he should sip a little of the drink, then chew the Szechuan buzz bud for about 15 seconds, letting it coat his whole tongue, then enjoy the rest of the drink which would taste different afterwards. Our friend went through all those steps and said it was incredible, like all the flavors were enhanced along with different sensations in his mouth, kind of numb and tingly. His wife was not satisfied with his description of the experience, so she bought a Szechuan buzz bud for $2 and she said it was kind of like pop rocks. These buzz bud looks just like a little flower bud like the end of a dandelion once the seeds are blown away. It comes from a plant. Totally fascinating! We enjoyed our one cocktail each here and just had great conversation. It was a fun night because of the company, and also because we had a little adventure going to two amazing places!

They didn't ask if we preferred outdoor or indoor seating, but we were seated inside right next to the kitchen. We heard that indoor seating was better for service anyway. The interior of the restaurant was "very fancy," and my daughter thought we were in a date spot. We knew we wanted French fries and opted for the garlic Parmesan fries. At first, the kids were weirded out by the arugula, but my daughter ended up enjoying it, noting the bitter and salty notes. My son devoured the entire plate (not the arugula) and asked for another round. We also ordered the lemon ricotta French toast, made from Brioche bread, lemon blackberry butter, whipped lemon ricotta cream, blackberries, mint, and maple syrup. They perfected the crispy exterior, which contrasted well with the fluffy bread. My wife ordered the breakfast pizza--a focaccia pizza topped with marinara, ham, spinach, fresh tomato, red onion, a sunny-side-up egg, and herb-infused maple syrup. This was really delicious with the tart, fresh tomatoes, the salty ham, and the sweet maple syrup. I ended up eating the sunny-side egg by itself, so we didn't get to try the pizza with the egg. Lastly, I ordered the steak and eggs, but it was sadly a small portion. I ordered it medium rare, and it came out medium. The seasoning was a bit strange and would have been better with simple salt, pepper, and garlic. The mimomas really made my wife happy. She started feeling it pretty quickly. We did a lot of twisting a tearing of cheese to get the provided dippers covered and out of the mix. The taste was good, but the celery and cheese was not a good mix. I ordered the chicken breast, and Robin tried the Bourbon Street - Cajun seasoned petite filet, chicken, shrimp, and andouille sausage. The fondue entrees come with potatoes, mushrooms, and broccoli. The chicken was okay especially using their provided dipping sauces - Chimichurri, Teriyaki BBQ Sauce, and Sweet Chili Wasabi. The vegetables cooked up well and were tasty. Other than the precooked andouille sausage, there did not seem to be noticeable Cajun seasoning with the Bourbon Street entree. Overall a good meal, but not great. We were also very disappointed in the quote which was originally hand written with no clear picture or vendor choices and a horrible menu choice for food options, one page pamphlet, etc. We asked for all inclusive in our first visit, which in first quote we thought was written out, but in our second visit they said it wasn't and had to ask for another quote to be emailed. Since the very first service in January of 2014, the Fox has made space available to house Citizens…read moreChurch on Sundays, and as a church member since day one, I just want to say thank you to Eddie and Richard for enabling the launch and supporting it from the ground up. The Fox is its birthplace, and you've been stewards of its success. I wonder if we at Citizens will hold a record of being the longest weekly running event in the history of the Fox. Moving to its own location next month, the church leaves in its wake praises that will ring on for eternity in this special historic location full of soul and character. Thank you, Eddie and Richard!
