We were in Kanab for 4 days & were lucky enough to be there while This fab food truck was open, as I believe they're only open on weekends. We were hankering for a burger & were not disappointed. JT had the Belly of the Dragon burger & I had the weekend special: The High Roller. We shared kanab dirt fries. The food was exceptional. The owner of the food truck is one of the most pleasant people I've ever met & clearly loves what he does. His food is love. What a great experience...perfection.

How is this little food truck so good!!!!! I drive through here once a month for work and since I found this place it's my absolute must stop. It's in a dirt parking lot so you will probably miss it the first time but keep looking - it's worth it

    Delicious loaded fries!!

First I want to start with I am not a burger lover. I usually steer clear. But I have a thing for food trucks. And everybody gave this place raving reviews. We drove by just to check it out and make sure the listed hours were correct. We stopped to check out the menu. The owner popped his head out the window and gave us all the information about his burgers. A genuine good guy. We were hooked. Traveling from out of state we use Yelp a lot on our adventures. Fellow yelpers did not disappoint. We went back to our air bnb unpacked then came back to order our food. By then people were waiting in line and it was a constant flow of people. Many locals getting their last orders as he closes for the 2025 season tomorrow. I had the Belly of the Dragon and if you like spice this burger is for you. We also had an order of the loaded fries. Yummy!! They were a meal in and of themselves. I can't say enough good things. Everything is fresh and tasty. Be prepared to wait but time goes fast when you are enjoying the beautiful fall weather.

Going through Kanab and we needed a quick bite to eat. I wanted that Havana place, but they were closed. This place actually has 5 stars and it was this or Wendy's. This is a food truck, nestled in a parking area. I tried the Hog Canyon, my friends tried the Kanab burger and Belly of the Dragon. They all had their own flavors and were delicious. The chimchurri sauce was great and flavorful. And the scorpion pepper aioli was kickin'! The Cajun fries had a twist, a little spicy and sweet. The wait time was 17 minutes, which I felt was standard for something fresh. And it was quirky they gave out playing cards to keep track of their customers. Overall, I would eat here again.

The "number" card for our order. Cute.

Found this burger place via Yelp and checked out their Instagram page. Looked delicious so while visiting Kanab we decided to try it. Great choice! Burgers cooked to perfection and a hearty portion. Tried both the Kanab with regular fries and the Spicy with Cajun fries. The burger toppings were fresh and avocado on Kanab delicious. Spicy had a nice kick and was yummy too. Fries hot with excellent flavor. Nice touch of sugar we believe on the Cajun. Service was friendly and reasonably quick with others in line. The food truck is cute and found it easily. Highly recommend!

Belly of the dragon burger, and fries.

You have to go here if you in Kanab! One of the best burgers and fries I've ever had. I got the Belly of the Dragon burger, perfect spice level. Fries were seasoned to perfection. Staff were super friendly and made some good jokes while taking my order. I will be back!

Worth every penny AND the time it took to cook from scratch! The owner was enthusiastic and full of pride for his creations.Every bite was delicious, the fries, crispy, the fry sauce divine. When in kanab this is a MUST stop whether your getting to the lake or just headed home.

    Kanab impossible burger and fries!

I really love this place I've been here many times! The staff are so friendly and the wait is never long. The price is pretty good and the location is convenient since I live in a neighboring town. I love the fries and impossible burger! Sadly though the last time I was there they said they will discontinue the vegetarian options which makes me sad because it's the best vegetarian burger in the whole region without driving to thunderbird, Orderville, page or Springdale. I hope the owners can bring back the impossible burger.

Literally one of the best burgers ever! We went here on our way home from a trip and I'm so glad we did. Everything was so fresh and delicious and the owner was so friendly. We're definitely stopping here again next time we're in Southern Utah!

The burgers are perfect in taste, and dirt fries are very crispy and flavory. I wanna say worth the wait but unfortunately the wait was too long to earn this compliment. I waited in line for 1.5 hours to get 2 burgers. The chef was very nice and friendly tho.

A delightful encounter in Kanab, the small town along the way on our road trip to Salt Lake City. A…read morewonderful meal. Pistachio Chicken: The chicken breast was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, with a thin, crispy crust that was especially impressive. The sauce blended the mild aroma of Poblano chili, the creamy richness of butter, and the unique fragrance of herbs. Most precious was the pistachio aroma, both vibrant and subtle, without overpowering or masking the other flavors, creating a delicate balance. Even the saltiness was just right, subtle and delicate. The surface was garnished with pico de gallo, fresh, sweet, tangy, and spicy, balancing the potential heaviness of the sauce. The asparaguses were also very fresh, with a natural fragrance, but perhaps a little too mild with the sauce. Kanab Cowboy Ribs: The pork ribs were slow-cooked and roasted until they were so tender that they easily fell off the bone, offering no resistance when cutting into them. The homemade barbecue sauce coated it thickly, rich and sweet, with an authentic American barbecue flavor. It might be a bit too sweet for most Chinese palates, but I thought it was quite good. The agave mustard vinaigrette seemed more decorative; I nearly couldn't really taste it. Lemon Sorbet: Homemade sorbet, offering the most soulful finish. It was breathtakingly beautiful at first glance; the simple white porcelain plate and glass were limpid and elegant, perfectly matching the sorbet's style. Unlike typical sorbets that emphasize extreme acidity, this restaurant took a different approach, with a gentle, even subtle, acidity that brings out the natural, lively fragrance of lemon, like Lolita's touch through pale silk. The texture was also delicate and smooth, without any ice crystals. Everyone was captivated; some even ordered an extra to take away. The restaurant claims that ingredients come from its organic garden. This might be a pointless gimmick, but the cooking and presentation of the dishes conveyed a consistent level of refinement and care, making it all the more valuable.

I enjoyed the smoked chicken, especially. The brisket was very tender. Service was kind and quick. No complaints. One odd thing is that me and another guest at the table both ordered an extra side of brisket to go along with our meals and they served it on the same platter. When it was about half gone and I had asked for my side, they said they put both portions on the same dish and that is just weird and made it awkward. However, they did bring me an extra little cup of brisket. Still odd that they would do that. The atmosphere was cool, but the live entertainment that night was singing very depressing songs which honestly just mismatched the vibe of the whole restaurant and ruined the mood. Happy I tried Iron Horse, but probably wouldn't come back between the odd service and the sad entertainment not matching with the expected vibe of the place. A lot of potential with this restaurant though.

The restaurant seemed clean. It was cute that they have like a little ghost town set up outside, they have a lot of seating inside and outside. The restrooms are outside...and heated! There is a door to go in to a gift shop in the same space as the entrance to the dining area. There was a group of us and our waitress was on top of it, had no problem splitting the checks and stayed organized so that she could easily do so! I'd love to give it 5 stars, but my brisket plate was just okay. Two small pieces, the mac and cheese was pretty simple, the toast was just not toasty...the slices of brisket I was given were good. And I did enjoy the sweet potato with cinnamon and brown sugar. My husband enjoyed his Frank Sinatra burger and fries. So we were not disappointed with Iron Horse at all, we just didn't walk away impressed either. Not much else in the area so with limited options they don't really need to go all out.

A Dash Of Country French With Amazing Service…read more.... My wife and I were on the prowl again for a restaurant for dinner. Typical tourists. Reviews said "try Vermillon". We were glad we did. - Overall: 5 - Exterior: 3 - Ambiance: 4 - Menu: 4 - Food Quality: 5 - Food Portion: 5 - Service: 10 - Chef: 10 - Price and Value: 5 - Parking: 4 - Location: Convenient. In the "downtown" area across the street from the Wild Thyme Cafe. - Exterior: Nothing special. A boxy building with outside seating. - Ambiance: Country French...or as close as you can get in Utah. Actually, nice and comfortable. - Menu: Not big, but with interesting choices in each category. - Food: Excellent. We started the meal by sharing a Caprese Salad ($15). Large and tasty. My entree was one of the night's specials...Vegetable Curry ($22). Big bowl of fresh diced vegetables with a moderately spicy sauce. A fine dish. My wife chose the other special of the day...Chicken Marsala ($25) on a bed of mashed potatoes. It's one of her favorite's and she said "it was as good as any I've had". For dessert, we shared a Chocolate Mousse ($12). We could have had 3 more. For drinks, I had a Belgian Blond beer ($10) while my wife had a glass of French Chardonnay ($16). Both did the job. - Service: AMAZING describes our server, Wendy. She was the only person taking care of a roomful of customers. I counted 30 with more coming in. But Wendy helped us as if we were the only people in the restaurant. AMAZING. And one other question stumped us. How did the ONE chef handle 30+ orders and maintain a steady pace in the kitchen? Wow! - Price and Value: Not cheap, but worth it. The total before tax and tip was an even $100. - Parking: Fine, both behind and on the street. Vermillon might not be as "country French" as you'll find in France, but it was great and a lot closer to home.
