I'm a fairly meat-forward eater so the vegetarian only aspect of this restaurant wasn't exactly a selling point but oh man it was good! There was nothing lacking and the service was fantastic. One of our party can't eat dairy and was super happy to find non-dairy Mac and cheese. I was skeptical to say the least but it was AMAZING. No joke. Better and creamier than any other restaurant mac and cheese I've had. Wish we had been in town longer for a repeat. I really regret not taking pictures but the food here is excellent! It is vegetarian so there's no meat but the food is so good that you don't need it. Oh my goodness, I have been trying to eat here (again) for literal years. Kanab being touristy and then through the pandemic, I could never seem to catch it open, but today I did!!! AND they STILL had the peekaboo pear pizza and it's exactly how I remember it!!! Amazing cheeses and fresh pear and arugula. YUMM. I ordered my pizza extra well done (ALWAYS the way to go with a wood fired pizza) and Tay, the server was so sweet and brought it out so quickly! The outdoor seating is also nicely covered which I perfect with the spontaneous spring weather. It was a great visit. First time was 6 years ago. Our first trip to Kanab. I have to say- service, food didn't downgrade. Only got better. Traveling with my vegetarian husband can created challenges. So this place is a savior for a hungry vegetarian/vegan tourist. We had nice table in the outside patio, it was very warm inside, despite being chilly outside. The mushroom madness pizza here was so bad its laughable. I couldn't even be mad about it as it was the laughing stock of the entire weekend. It was it super expensive ($18) for it is. It was like an 8 inch pie with like 12 shriveled fragments of button mushrooms haphazardly scattered and the pizza was burnt to a crisp. There was also no taste of tarragon. I have no idea where all this praise in Google is coming from. I guess when there's nothing else to eat anything tastes great. I've had woodfired pizza that has sopressata pizza with black truffle oil that cost just as much that would knock your socks off. What a comic relief this place is. We had the Angel Landing pizza which we just loved especially since it was perfectly wood fired. The side salad we had with the house dressing was also great. It's been almost a decade since I last attempted to eat here, and that was such an awful experience that it's taken me this long to consider going back. I'm SO GLAD I did! Today I rolled into town hot and sweaty, post hike, needing a light, late lunch. I didn't want to sit down in a restaurant, and I needed something dairy free. I know it's obnoxious, but I thought I'd call and see if Peekaboo might still have their kitchen open ten minutes before they closed. They were SO nice and said they'd love to make me a pizza! I had their wood fired crust with pesto, vegan moz (they have regular cheese too), marinated artichoke hearts, Kalamata olives, and sun dried tomatoes. I picked it up to go so I wouldn't occupy a table past their closing time and tipped well. I'm sitting at the park to write this, enjoying a delicious pizza and happy with the outstanding service I received. Yay, another place I can frequent and recommend to others! Wanted to like this place more. To start with, there were quite a few flies in the restaurant which was a little annoying Had 2 pizzas, the house salad, and a vegan cheesecake. The pizzas were the Hot Mess and the Angel's Landing. I also had a cocktail, the Honey Bee. My boyfriend enjoyed his pizza, the hot mess, and my pizza was good, it was a white pie as they call it, the Angels Landing, there was no tomato on it, and whilst I liked the flavor, I found the crust a little bit too hard. The house salad was fine, although there was way too much grated carrot on it. I had to remove half of it. The vegan cheesecake was not good. I myself make vegan cheesecake, and the problem with this one was the texture was just not right. It literally collapsed in your mouth, the mouth feel was very watery and it wasn't how a cheesecake should be. It was very plain, and they did ask if we wanted it served with some mixed berries, which we said yes to, but we were then charged for a minuscule portion. However, It was the saving grace really, because the flavor of the berries helped to mask the rather unusual flavor and texture of the cheesecake itself. I can't think that anyone who would've tasted the cheesecake would think that it was good. Something was just off with it, especially the texture. My cocktail was OK, but not great. They were called craft cocktails so I guess I expected a little more. Overall, it wasn't a bad meal, but I would not go back there. The bill was $79. The service was good. read more

I got the mushroom and ricotta pizza and we actually laughed looking at it because it was so dry and had hardly any toppings. And it was called "Mushroom Madness" so I thought it would have more than 7 mushrooms on it - LOL. We asked the server to take a second look if something was wrong with it because the whole thing was just dough and a couple of dollops of ricotta, a couple of sprinklings of cheese and maybe 8 mushrooms and she said, "I know... sorry" and chuckled. We are vegetarians staying in Kanab as a home base for our day trips to Zion and Bryce. The town is pretty small so there aren't a lot of choices. We are amazed that this is a fully vegetarian place. They use a variety of ingredients including Beyond and Impossible protein so you still feel satiated and are getting essential nutrients. We liked our food and drinks so much tonight that we plan to come back the other nights we are here to try their other menu items! The service is so friendly and lightning fast. We initially waited in our car for one hour to eat on the patio because we had our small dog with us. However by the time the patio had space, the patio ended up getting rained out so they allowed us to eat inside with our small dog in her carrier. The inside is very cozy and has lovely professional photos of famous canyons. I would definitely recommend eating here and can't wait to try more menu items! read more

My friends and I came here after a long day exploring the desert. The things we would recommend include the sweet potato fries, beer, and margarita pizza. The mushroom pizza was not our favorite thing and we don't recommend. The Mac and cheese was okay, it tasted a bit like mac and cheese with taco seasoning. The service was very slow, we had to ask multiple times for water and to check on our beer order after about 20 min. We were a little surprised to learn this was a completely vegetarian/vegan restaurant and some members of our group had expected some meat options/substitutions but they were still able to find something to eat. The atmosphere felt okay, they have a nice outdoor space. It was a little challenging to find the door at first since the restaurant is connected to a hotel. I really love the food here but the parking can fill up quickly and the wait can be long. To go food sometimes is over an hour wait (more than just waiting to be seated and ordering) which is why I can't give this a perfect rating. The outdoor seating is nice and the menu has lots of great choices for vegetarians. I always get the Duke with impossible burger or beyond burger and sidewinder fries. The price isn't bad and the food really tastes great. Most of the time the service is good but sometimes they just ignore you which makes me kind of sad because I live in the next town over and spend a lot of time in Kanab and it makes me feel like the tourists are the only valuable customers. read more

After going through the reviews I can see there is an issue with food prep consistency here. We stopped to get a to-go order in after being recommended this spot by our Airbnb host. Super bummed about the cost to quality ratio overall. We got the Mushroom and Pear pizza with garlic bombs. The mushroom pizza toppings and flavor were good, but both pizza crusts were super tough. I'm not sure if we pissed the cook off, but the pear pizza had nearly no pear on it, no Gorgonzola cheese was added and it was like he dumped the whole bottle of Italian dressing on top... it was soup (zero exaggeration here). Had to pull all the arugula off and blot the pizza to be able to eat what we could. I think we ate 2 slices of the whole pie. When we got there, we realized it was a vegan place, which definitely surprised us. I'm not going to lie--we were a little disappointed at first. Our waitress immediately noticed the look on our faces and was incredibly nice about it, which convinced us to stay and give it a try. I'm a full-on carnivore and usually feel like pizza needs meat on it, but this vegan pizza completely changed my mind. We ordered the Hot Mess, the Margherita pizza, and a cheese pizza with garlic knots as an appetizer. Everything was sooo good. The flavors were amazing and the crust was perfect. The owner even came out to check on us, and I told him, "This pizza just converted me to becoming vegan!" Great food and amazing staff. Traveling solo and just wanted a good pizza. Table selection for one person was crammed into any corner or near the register. Couldnt make my own pizza. Could only order their choices and their ONE size pizza with 8 slices. You'd think for travelers they'd offer some options. Where am I going to put the uneaten pizza anyway...in my suitcase??? Ended up getting the chicken panini which was just ok and the thick fries. I hadn't even tried my panini yet and the grumpy waitress asked if it tasted ok. I said I hadn't tried it yet. She NEVER came back to ask how it was or if I needed anything else. Later, she brought the bill and said "no rush". Less than 5 min later she asked is this ready? I said "no...I thought there was no rush, but apparently there is". She said, in a snobby tone, "well its hard to tell if the card is in there". (Well, maybe wait longer than 5 min, so I have a chance to put it in there or tell your customer to lay it on the outside)! As she stood there staring at me and waiting for me to find my card, I dug out my credit card and layed it on the table for her. She could have just let me relax and enjoy the time after a long day, but instead made me feel like I needed to pay now. Didnt even make small talk. The credit card terminal asked a number of questions about mailing lists and providing a phone number. No! Geez! Im from out of town and will never eat here again. I signed it, gave her a minimal tip to show my dissatisfaction and then left abruptly since I didnt feel well treated or welcome. She didnt even say thank you. We ordered a slice of what was described as "homemade, dense, rich, chocolate cake"for $10. What we got was a sad little sliver in a to-go box. Once we left the restaurant and opened it, I was honestly shocked--it looked like a sample, not a dessert portion. I stewed for a minute, wondering if maybe the hostess who cut it had no idea how big the slices were supposed to be. Eventually, I did something totally out of character and went back in to ask about it. I politely asked a waitress if what we were given was the standard slice, given the price. She looked me dead in the eye and said, "Yeah, that's pretty normal," then walked away. No offer to fix it, no apology, no care at all. We went home feeling ripped off, but figured maybe--just maybe--it would taste amazing. Spoiler alert: it didn't. It was the driest piece of cake I've ever eaten. It turned into dust the second it hit my tongue. It tasted like a Hostess cupcake that's been left out for a week... but somehow drier. I have no review or complaint about the food as I have eaten there a few times, however my daughter and I had an incident where the hostess would not acknowledge my daughter to request a table and wait time. This situation lasted almost ten minutes before another customer noticed and spoke to another hostess. My daughter was told a ten minute wait and we waited well over 20 minutes before leaving. Funky service our waitress got busy and getting anything from her you received the "look". all dishes are plant based including the "protein" and they sure as hell will let you know (I asked if they had anchovies) SO had salad which was good and I had Hot mess pizza which was quite good crust was 4 out of 5 not traditional Italian and could have used a little more time in the wood oven good flavors with sweet drop tomatoes which added some nice sweetness peppers added a nice flair (you pick the heat level) and cheese-goat and smoked Gouda was done at the right level (not overdone as is often the case) could have left off the vegan chorizo. Liquor list was adequate I had a nice Arg. Malbec and SO's maple old fashioned had little to no maple probably to the bartenders satisfaction level as they did not drink maple in an old fashioned I'm guessing was also chastised as I mentioned that king fu girl Riesling had become sweeter than in the past I was told ALL Riesling is sweet accompanied by an eye roll once again. Kanab I guess she obviously has never had an Alsace Riesling or Austrian trocken. Pretty good pizza for a small town with a Hollywood has been hangover. read more

Hubby & I were visiting from San Antonio,TX. This was our last night in Kanabe. We decided to try something different. I'm glad we did! He had a bowl of couscous with roasted vegetables and artichokes. He loved it. I had a bowl of wild rice and mushroom. It was delicious and very rich in flavor. This was a surprisingly great brunch spot. Had the french toast w cheese and pear and then a marghertia pizza. Both were excellent. A large Mormon group of two families came in, had their kids trash the place, then left when they found they didn't have real meat. :( read more

We stopped for dinner here while visiting Kanab one evening. There is indoor and outdoor seating with heaters. We got a beer and the hot apple cider along with a half and half pizza - hot mess and mushroom madness. The pizza is wood fried and delicious. We got the chocolate cake for dessert which was a disappointment. It was dry, crumbly and the frosting too sweet. Our server was a let down never the less the pizza made up for it. read more

We called ahead on a weekday asking if we could get a reservation or even just get waitlisted and they said no. Came in and put our name down and were told it was a 40 min wait for a table of 4. After a while my kids were getting really hungry and we decided to just take out instead. I asked to start a take out order and the gal said they couldn't as the kitchen was busy. I'm like I'm standing here why can't they just place my order in line and she still refused. Spoke to the manager and she said she will see about it that in 5-10 mins . We decided to leave. This place is run by a bunch of hick amateurs who can't even figure out how to go orders or help their customers with kids who may need some accommodations once in a while .
