Went to the grand opening and there were 40 people in line and not enough seating inside or out on the patio area. So, I came back today and ordered the teriyaki chicken breast plate.......which was just so-so at best. If you don't like the standard macaroni salad that comes with the plate you can order a modest house salad.....BUT, they do not have any Ranch dressing, the No. 1 dressing in the U.S......so that was a bummer for sure.... Not sure I will be back other than to try the beef and shrimp to see if it is better than the chicken. This is by far the worst customer service experience I have encountered in my life. I order three combo plates. I requested 6 teriyaki sauce. VICTORIA the cashier reported No. she said it takes a lot of time for her to make the teriyaki cups. I told Victoria charge me for the 6 sauce. When asked how much she said no. You can only have two. I stated calmly the menu does not report charge for additional sauce nor a limit in sauce. When I request for a third time 6 sauce she went to the manager and the manger stated for Victoria to give me the sauce. VICTORIA threw the sauce at the counter where I stood. I spoke very sternly. "How rude. Your in customer service!" Victoria demanded I leave the restaurant without my food. She yelled for me to leave the restaurant. This was without my three meals which I paid for and she refused a refund. She ignored my request for my purchased food or a refund. I reported to her I wanted my food or a refund. My husband and I came here a couple weeks ago and it was delicious. The cashiers were very nice and helpful. We didnt feel rushed to place and order and as we were looking at the big menu she handed us a paper menu to make it easier. The food came out quick and it was hot and very tasty. Bathroom was clean and there was constantly someone cleaning the tables, which is a big deal for me. We cant wait to go back and try something new off the menu. read more

*UPDATED* While we like the food here and never had any issues, I witnessed an employee come out of the store cussing at a customer who was upset that he couldn't be served because he didn't have a mask on & another gal come out after him to threaten to call the cops next time. Plastic shields were already up to protect the employees and people were not in close proximity to each other. He held his shirt up over his mouth as suggested by the gal. I understand both people's positions. It is now May and other states have opened up. Our 14 day quarantine ended back in March. If we would've gotten sick, it would've already happened. And the laws in place are unconstitutional. I understand the employees are just doing their job, but they took it too far. They should've just let him go instead of him down to cuss him out. Totally unacceptable. *UPDATE* Our county lifted the requirement on masks & I've told the employees about it, but they said the company still makes them & the customers wear them . The last time I was in the gal made me put mine on. There's a thick plexiglass between us so they can't hear me ordering my food... so I have to take it off so they can hear me. I stepped aside in the corner waiting for my foo with my mask half on my face and another gal asked me to put it on. Love this new Beaumont location! They opened on the 10th of May, we came for the 11AM grand opening, and we've eaten here so many times since then! They have "healthier options" such as Grilled chicken and Grilled Mahi Mahi. Ashley, their Manager, is very helpful and delivers superb guest service! As far as lunch goes in the Beaumont area this place is great. I usually just call in my order and swing in to pick it up and on my way. The mini plates are plenty of food for myself and they are priced right. I like island fire chicken since it has some nice spice to it without adding hot sauce. 3pm on a Thursday. Phoned ahead for take-out so I wouldn't have to wait as long. No answer over a half hour time, about 5 calls. Okay. Drove there, no one was eating there, but 8 were waiting for their take-out. Some longer than 30 minutes. I had an easy order, only took a little over 20 (!). Counter girl tells the cooks to hurry up, one of them says "why?" She says they've been waiting for 30 minutes and he just didn't care. The food here is good, just like you'd get at a similar BBQ place in Hawaii (we've had many) although you won't get pineapple with it. But if you're buying here, be ready to wait. And wait. And wait. Oh yeah, one time I was able to phone ahead. I got there, waited in line a bit, and after I paid, the counter girl gave my order to the cooks and said "he's here". 25 minute wait. This place is a joke. I placed an order for a pick up order. I was told it would take 20 minutes for my order to be ready. I got there 25 minutes later and my order wasn't ready. I had to wait an additional 20 minutes for my order. I checked on my order 3 times and was told my order isn't ready yet. I checked on my order a 4th time, and they had my order sitting in the corner. They didn't tell me that my order was ready. A young lady tied the bag and gave me my order. I grabbed the tied bag and the bag untied, and my order fell on the floor. The employees looked at each other and didn't bother to check on my order. Nothing opened, but the forks fell on the floor. The employees gave me new forks. When I arrived home, it turns out the food was all over the place and the sauce from the food was dripping on the bottom of the bag. This was a terrible experience. On 7/27/20 at around 6:00pm, I attempted to place a telephone order. The Beaumont location is one of two in the area I patronize on a very regular basis, and I have had few difficulties placing such orders. On this particular attempt, my call was answered by a young woman and I was asked to be placed on hold. I agreed, as I was driving from another city and did not anticipate the hold would cause any significant delay. Unfortunately I was left on hold for 17 minutes, at which point I assumed the store was experiencing a rush and my call may have been forgotten about (which is 100% understandable). I got stuck at railroad crossing, at which point I decided to try and call back to place my order. Again, I was maybe 10 minutes away at this point so I felt a pickup order could still be an efficient choice. Unfortunately, the phone had been taken off the hook and I was unsuccessful at connecting. I continued to attempt calls as I continued driving but kept getting a busy tone. I finally arrived and noticed the store was fairly busy, but not as bad as I've seen on prior occasions. I went inside to order, but once inside I observed a female employee named Rishann appear to simply be canceling incoming phone calls (She was not answering them and just pressed a button that made it stop ringing). There was a young man taking orders, however I decided I would instead attempt to reach management to seek a correction of this type of practice. I spoke directly to Rishann, who acknowledged she was the employee that answered my call and placed me on hold. I explained my understanding of multitasking during a hectic moment, and that I don't fault her for forgetting the call during a dinner rush. What I did have an issue with, however, was the inability to get through on subsequent attempts only to find out the telephone was being ignored altogether. Rishann explained that she was also being tasked with training the new employee, and asked if there was anything she could do to rectify the matter; being pressed for time (as I was attempting to supply food for a small birthday party) I declined as I needed to settle for a quicker option at that moment. My main request is a retraining of phone/mobile order procedure for the staff at the Beaumont location. I would love to still patronize the location, and would hope I don't have the same experience on a future visit. For clarification, Rishann did seem genuine in her attempt to solve the complaint at the store level instead of treating it with indifference. read more

my family loves the chicken rice and macaroni salad at Ono Hawaiian BBQ. Every time the meals are spot on and we enjoy the taste of the food. But the last three times we have ordered at this location the food has taken over 25 minutes to receive it once paying at the front register. Today was excessive and took 30 minutes of us waiting in the restaurant to receive the food. I know the manager can do better with their staff and can get the food out in a timely matter. It seems like the employees are getting focused on online and Uber eats orders. Customers in your store should come first. read more
