Hawaiian BBQ Chicken aloha plate. Chicken could be hotter.
    Erica M.

Ordered the $7 online special the "Aloha plate". Got one Hawaiian BBQ chicken aloha plate and one katsu chicken aloha plate. The katsu chicken was hot and crunchy. Their Hawaiian BBQ chicken was good in taste however it was warm at best. Both plates came with rice and salad. The salads were very fresh and nicely dressed. Overall for the $7 price it was well worth giving this place a try again. ***Solid 3.75 stars (See pics for reference).

close to home, clean and modern inside, quick service if you are not placing a catering order, and the pricing is average. Food is really good! our number one Hawaiian spot in Fremont!

I tried this spot for lunch the other day, first time for me. Walked in around 12 noon and wasn't too busy. After quickly looking over the menu, I opted for the 2 meat plate which comes with rice and a side salad. The "fire chicken" was being promoted, so I decided to give it a try. I went with the katsu as my second for a safe bet. They have dispensers for katsu sauce and teriyaki sauce. The katsu sauce was much better in my opinion, the teriyaki was a bit too thick and over powering. - Fire chicken 10/10. Damn, this was some of the most flavorful chicken I've ever had. Tender and juicy, with a very vibrant red sauce. The flavor was sweet, tangy, and also spicy. It was very well balanced and the favor did not lose effect with each next bite. It did come with thick cut onions, they were a bit too raw for my taste, but no big deal as this chicken was insanely good. - Chicken katsu 8/10. It was good but nothing too special. Your basic katsu you'll find at all the hawaiin bbq spots. Absolutely needs katsu sauce as the breading is very dry and crunchy. The side salad is decent, fresh and has favor. Rice was hot and pairs will with meats that have a lot of sauce to soak up. Overall, good quality and tasty food, though I think the prices are a bit high overall.

Always reliable fast and good when I'm in Fremont for work. I prefer the kalua pork which is moist and very little fat. They let me get all rice. The katsu chicken was a bit dry so I don't get that anymore. I also always get a Hawaiian Sun which is a treat for me. Sometimes I eat there and the lights are all LED and other times to go. Easy to park.

I'm surprised that I've never been coming here for over a couple years I believe. This is usually my go to places for Hawaiian food. I've been going here for years and the food is quite amazing. The food is nicely grilled and the vegetables especially the lettuce tastes as fresh as it can get. For a restaurant that has multiple locations, the inside isn't quite bad, but it doesn't often get crowded as people usually do takeouts.

Came here on a Sunday night and it wasn't busy. I ordered the bbq and katsu mix and it was delicious! The portion was pretty big and I opted for 2 Mac salads and 1 scoop of rice. The meat was cooked really well and the teriyaki sauce was amazing. The service was pretty great too as we got our food in less than 15 minutes.

Sold me a pie with no filling. Still looking for my refund. The food was "okay". Manager won't come to phone.

Ordered through Uber for delivery. Food came and the chicken katsu was still crispy. I bit into it and realized why. It's majority breading... food is good, but can not believe the skimpy amount for the price paid.

I'm not sure why this specific location of Ono only has a 3-star rating. it's probably the best hawaiian food spot in the area and the food is always consistently good

Love the value of this special item...$7.75 for 2 scoops of rice, fresh salad and loaded with fresh white fish seasoned perfectly with a slight kick...this price only till 5/15 so y'all need to go get yours soon...

This specific location's having a really great BOGO running until the second week of September, which is how I got to try this. The katsu's nice and crispy, and really pairs perfectly with the available sauce. It's an insane amount of food for one plate (14.99), so be prepared to split it with others! The Mac salad is amazingly refreshing cold and the steamed vegetables underneath are mildly sweet, which is nice. The chicken was slightly chewy, but the juiciness made up for it. My siblings and I brought it home from take-out and it was still crispy and warm. Definitely a good, reasonably priced joint for lunch- especially if there's a deal!

I ordered online 30 mins ahead of time. Came to pick it up and looks like order still hadn't been started on yet. What's the point of ordering ahead of time. And then I get home only to find out there are no sauces included in the bag!! What's the point of eating teriyaki without the teriyaki sauce?! Come on guys!!

We ordered Hawaiian BBQ chicken and chicken katsu. Chicken is very tender and nicely seasoned. Portion is big. The restaurant also provides free flow of teriyaki and katsu sauce. Spam musubi is classic. Great place for a quick meal!

How is there no loco moco at a Hawaiian restaurant?

I've never had it. I usually stick to their BBQ chicken or teriyaki chicken. Sorry couldn't help with your question.

When you enter and get seated, you will be prompted to go on the url code at the table to pick your items. While I understand that this is the new way for restaurants to serve guests post-covid, the vast menu items you have to scroll through makes me long for physical menus of the past - but that's just my boomer take for the day. There were a bunch of other items like rice and noodle dishes that looked interesting to pair with the meats, but we were only craving bbq so we skipped out on the carbs. We ordered a BUNCH of skewers, from the standard beef, lamb, pork belly to chicken skin and a fried quail. All of the skewers had the same type of dried chili powder spice seasoning mix so unfortunately there wasn't too much of a diversity in flavor profile but on the flip side, it allowed us to focus more on enjoying the meat quality itself (this is where rice or noodles would definitely help cut through the richness). All of the meats were incredibly well-cooked and charred. It is on the drier side, so be aware if you are looking for a juicier, plumper cut of meat that some other restaurants have. Paired with the Chinese vinegar, soy sauce, and chili oil, they were super delectable. My personal favorites were the pork belly, chicken skin, and beef. We had some leftovers to go and the staff provided us some extra sauce to go so that's a big plus. Great food here and definitely will be back to try more of the other menu items for the full experience.

In short, it was ok. I wasn't blown away but it's definitely a hefty meal if you're needing something to last you all day. L O C A T I O N It's directly in front of Home Depot on Auto Mall Parkway. Like literally in front of the Home Depot in this little hut area. The parking situation is easy as it's the same lot as the large Home Depot parking lot. I N S I D E It's a small covered area with a few chairs but don't expect to have a gigantic group be here. We ordered to go. M E N U The menu is a mish mash of things from hot dogs, hamburgers, to Latin and Hawaiian flavors. We opted to get a Loco Moco and carne asada burrito. The Loco Moco felt a bit standard. It comes with two hamburger patties and two eggs. I'm not sure if they make their hamburger patties there but it seemed like your standard frozen burger patties. The gravy was a good salty balance to everything. The mac salad is a little heavy on the bell pepper flavor even though there's not much in there. I was burping that up all day. But then again, I have a bit of intolerance to bell peppers so beware if you do also. There's a good amount of rice and I love me a good amount of rice with gravy. The carne asada burrito was sizeable. Lots of meat, rice, and beans and a bit of lettuce. S E R V I C E A nice lady took our order and also let us know they did take over this spot from the original owners about a year or so ago. We paid easily and got our food in a timely manner. O V E R A L L As I mentioned, the food was fine and okay. Good especially if you want something really hearty which a lot of folks who go to Home Depot need energy to sustain their work! I can see why it's thriving in that spot. So I would suggest ordering, then doing your Home Depot shopping, and your food should be ready to go by the time you come out....well if you're doing a quick trip of course. They also have $5 specials which is nice. Try them out!
