I remember this spot to be just okay, but my friends wanted to come here, so we stopped by here to grab a bite. They still charge extra for crab salad and masago when all the other poke spots I go to do not. I ended up paying over $20 for a small / regular bowl. Customer Service has been consistently -- I've been coming to this spot regularly for the past few years. The owner does a great job at hiring individuals that are genuinely nice (even if you walk in a few minutes after opening or before closing). They greet customers, are not rude if they need you to repeat which topics or sauce you just said, and fill up the bowl (with the toppings) of course. The toppings are abundant, sauces are delicious, fish... -- Portions used to be generous. They scoop and put directly into the bowl but now it's they scrape against the side. I get the pandemic but smaller amount of fish and higher priced bowl doesn't bode well with long time customers. I would say the protein went from at least 6oz to now ~4oz. I came in on a weekday and noticed that everyone had placed their orders online bc all the meals were being prepared to go. One of the two staff gave me a lukewarm greeting and I placed my order. I paid extra $1 to add crab salad to my bowls which I regretted. I also noticed that the fish eggs were an extra charge here whereas my usual spot usually includes them. All in all, the bowls left much to be desired. If you are ordering DoorDash delivery (or pickup) you may not see that the messy counters and dirty glass shield. Any food area should be kept super clean & just tidy. That was huge for me. She was also really nice about me changing my mind, even though I know that can be super annoying to some service workers. I originally asked her for all the toppings, but then a few seconds later I said wait, no jalapenos. The only two small negatives for me - you have to pay for crab salad, when almost all places give it for free. (However, they offer mango so that's a nice substitute. But in my opinion, poke /needs/ to have crab salad in it). The second negative- when I first walked in, there was such a strong bleach smell that I almost walked right back out the door.
