Came here for a restroom stop and decided to get some snackies for the road. Ordered spam musubi (comes with two) for a quick and easy hand held bite. Although there was no one inside the restaurant, there were a lot of orders from the Drive Thru. So it took a little while to get my order, but it was worth the wait. The spam musubis came out fresh and hot. Definitely was made to order and delicious. Definitely satisfied my snack craving. Grateful for this spot right off the 99 freeway with clean and large bathrooms. As a new mom, I have been making notes everywhere, and this one had no changing table in the bathroom for babies. Wouldn't mind stopping here again on my next road trip down south from Sacramento.

    Island White Fish Mini Meal

This is the second time I've tried Ono Hawaiian BBQ. The previous time the people were friendly and ready. I apparently, caught them in the middle of a conversation and they didn't seem to care that much. I ordered the Island White Fish mini meal. The person at the counter called my number after about ten minutes and he didn't wait to hand me the food. Another customer mentioned that he dropped that just when he called the number. He remembered that I mentioned chopsticks and brought some to me at the counter. I'm not sure why he put "to go" on the order but he seemed to do that regardless. The food was as good as the location on the west side. While you don't have to be a rocket scientist, you have to pay attention and someone was paying attention. Four stars for the food, three stars for the service. It's not easy to walk there but there is a sidewalk, if you can find it. There are also EV chargers in the same lot.

I love Ono Hawaii. Fresh option and affordable pricing. I always get the grilled chicken teriyaki breast. I love that they have grilled chicken breast option because I am not a dark meat fan. My parents love the kalua pork. The plates come with rice, macaroni salad and vegetables. Tonight I got a side of the kalua pork to try. It is amazing too. Definitely recommend. They have been consistently good. Staff is nice and frindly as well.

Visited this restaurant today for the 1st time. We had tasted their food via a banquet that we had been to a few months ago. We remembered that we like what we had been served so we decided to try it tonight. We were literally right around the corner from it today. Glad we did. We each bought a 2 item plate. Plenty of meat and very fresh. My wife ordered the BBQ Chicken & Chicken Katsu. I had the Teriyaki Chicken and Spicy Chicken (See Picture below). Each was served with Salad and rice. We also ordered their Macaroni Salad which is pretty tasty. We will bd going back again.

On 11/19/2025 I ordered one Hawaiian BBQ chicken and one Teriyaki chicken.I asked Valentina if the chicken was freshly cooked or was it sitting around.she said it was freshly cooked.I ordered to go,when i arrived home i opened the container it was obvious the chicken was sitting around. This is the second time this has happened,I'am very disappointed.I payed$28.32 for dried chicken.I would like to be compensated.

I've had Ono's many many times in the Bay Area (Hayward & Fremont) but I was surprised to see different ratings for the locations in the valley. I got the mixed meat combo with an order of spam masubi. Both were good but I wouldn't say it was amazing. I would for sure order from them again. I can't comment on the location itself as I order delivery; however, I can say ordering was smooth and easy.

Who Doesn't like BBQ???? Especially Hawaiian Bbq Mix Homie!!! Every Time I have Hawaiian Food it reminds me of my Younger Days rolling around Oahu or Maui!!!! Good Times and Good Food Yo !!! So I was rolling around Manteca and it was Lunch time!!! This Ono Hawaiian Bbq Restaurant happens to be right around the corner from one of my Customers. So I decided to Roll by and Stop for Lunch!!! There was Plenty of Parking in their Lot. So I stashed my Whip there and there are Electric Car Charging Stations there. I rolled in like a Boss and was Greeted by the Cashier. I perused the Menu and ordered the Hawaiian Bbq Mix Plate and a Large Coke!!! I paid by Credit Card and grabbed a Table. My Food was Delivered to my Table Piping Hot and Fresh by a Cute Brunette Cashier with a Nice Smile!!! I started to Eat my Food!!! It was Delicious and Cooked to Perfection !! Lots of Veggies!!! Could have used more Proteins but it was still a good plate!!!! Service was Friendly and Efficient!! Gender Neutral Restrooms !!! This is a Baller On a Budget Approved Establishment!!!

BBQ Chicken Mini Meal. $12.22 for 1.5 piece of chicken and 2 scoops of mac. Overpriced IMO, but you be the judge.

Review #1,006 Posted on 2.28.28…read more We stopped in here on a whim on Friday night the 27th while in town, actually originally to try another restaurant. This spot is in a strip mall on Louise Ave in Manteca. We got greeted & sat right away when we came in. The staff here doesn't stop moving, it's pretty much 3 people on the service side, they take orders, run food, & check on you. I believe the guy who checked on us a lot, I want to say his name was Lieness. Super nice guy, hard worker. The other ladies too. Food was good, for sure it's marked up, but I thought quality of the seafood, and the way it was cooked was good. I've got a high standard for the sauce, this one was for sure spicy, stayed on the seafood and corn pretty well. To me that's how you can separate these boil spots from each other. When you pull the shrimp out of the bag and de-shell it does the sauce drip right off? If it does, to me that's a sign of bad sauce, it's not getting infused on the seafood, corn, potatoes, etc. This spot it was decent, but better than most. Cheese sticks were good, sweet potato fries were too, healthy portion on that. We'll probably come and eat here again for sure down the line.

Service was extremely slow and lacking, I normally don't mind if servers just leave you to do your own thing but good service was practically non-existent here if it's anything beyond taking your order as soon as you sit down and bringing it to you after it's cooled down to nearly room temp. I did not think it was possible to make seafood boil bland but it somehow just was. No flavor at all, not even salty. Absolutely would not recommend

An amazing home-y spot for Asian comfort food in Manteca :)…read more For appetizers, we got the bang bang shrimp and spicy wontons and both were delicious. I liked how crispy and sweet yet tangy the bang bang shrimp was. This was probably my favorite item we tried! The chili wontons weren't too spicy and they were really generous with the amount of shrimp inside. Shrimp & wonton noodle soup was def a comfort meal growing up, so I'm happy they had that here! Portion size was very generous and broth was tasty. Noodles were cooked well too, and I liked the filling of the wonton. We also got the curry ramen with katsu chicken. The chicken was sooo crispy, it was one of my favorite items. The bacon kimchi flavor had a nice spicy kick to it. The beef chili oil noodles was tasty and I liked the small beef bits. The bang bang chicken had the same sauce as the bang bang shrimp, but I liked how the entree came with rice too. The philly cheesesteak eggrolls were super crispy, and if you're a cheese lover, you need to try this! Overall, a really solid spot for Asian fusion food, and the servers were all extremely nice and patient as well. Service was really quick!

My wife and I stopped in after our jog along the Tidewater Biketrail, making this our lunch pit stop after starting at Lathrop Road. The Char Siu Pork Bánh Mì is an easy 5/5. The baguette was fresh, crispy on the outside, and soft and chewy inside. The char siu pork was tender, juicy, and perfectly caramelized around the edges. Crisp pickled carrots and daikon, plenty of cilantro, and fresh jalapeños brought everything together. It's a well-balanced sandwich with a portion that's just right. The Grilled Chicken Roll'd deserves more attention. The grilled chicken reminded me of a flavorful chicken satay, and the peanut sauce complemented every bite without overpowering the fresh ingredients. If you're looking for a lighter, protein-packed option, this is it. They also offered complimentary strawberry and passion fruit refreshers. They were a little sweeter than my preference, but the flavors were refreshing. Next time, I'd order one at 50% sweetness. The restaurant is clean, inviting, and a welcome escape from the Central Valley heat. Service has always been friendly, and it's the kind of place where both the staff and regulars make you feel welcome. There's also a Tracy location, but I find myself coming back to the Manteca restaurant. It's smaller, more intimate, and has a charm all its own. If you're in the area, I highly recommend stopping by. Great food, great people, and a relaxed atmosphere. I always say, good food brings out the best in people. I'll comment on the taste in a bit but I want to first highlight something I've never experienced. In all my work-from-home years I've never once had to-go experience where the dishes looked like they'd been plated for table service at the restaurant. Sure some stuff shifted in the Dasher's car but it honestly blew me away. Even the drink was carefully wrapped and put in a little box to ensure it wouldn't leak everywhere. As for the important bit, the taste, man... I have had so many amazing Thai meals at places in the bay area and honestly just assumed the most Modesto would get is some great Banh Mi spots. Obviously I haven't had the chance to try the whole menu but my go-to, Tom Kha, this is the best Thai coconut soup I've ever had! The Pad Thai is as good if not better than what I've had in San Francisco as well. I'm really looking forward to bringing friends and family here to check it out in person! Side note... yes, it's also very expensive ordering via Doordash with their added fees but it's 2026 and it's California. So far my multiple orders have been well worth the price and I expect the same experience in person! (just, you know, without the extra Doordash fee nonsense)

The restaurant is connected to (or at least shares a building with) the casino, so parking can be a little tricky. Most of the lot was full when we arrived, and I ended up parking on the street. Inside, it's really cute. They have a great wine display right when you walk in, a cozy dining area, and a small outdoor patio that looked like a nice spot to sit. Service was good. Nothing over the top, but friendly and exactly what you'd expect. The menu sounded fantastic, which made me really excited. We ordered oysters, lobster bisque, filet mignon, scallop pasta, lobster mac and cheese, and I had an Old Fashioned. The oysters and bisque were both okay, the filet and pasta were decent, but honestly nothing really stood out. The biggest disappointment was the lobster mac and cheese. If you love lobster mac like I do and always order it when it's on the menu, I'd skip this one. It wasn't really mac and cheese at all. The sauce didn't taste cheesy, the presentation wasn't appealing, and it ended up being one of my least favorite versions I've had. Overall, it's a nice restaurant with a good atmosphere, but the food just didn't wow me. If someone invited me back for another celebration, I'd happily go. It just wouldn't be my first choice if I were picking the restaurant myself.
