    Our rice getting going!

The food was great! And we had such a great time! The sushi rolls were delicious also!!

    Fun vibes, delicious food!

We had 2 birthday celebrations with a party of 19 and this restaurant did a phenomenal job taking care of us!!! We made reservations about 1 week ahead and were seated together with the two big teppanyaki grills across from each other so we can see everyone all night. Our drinks, appetizers, soup, and salad came right away (the salad was my favorite, if you don't want soup, you can get 2 salads!) Our chefs came soon to cook our food and did a great job! I requested my fillet mignon at medium and it was cooked to perfection! Everything was seasoned perfectly and so delicious, the fried rice especially. Our waiters constantly checked on us throughout the night to make sure we had everything we needed, our drinks were consistently refilled. I will say, we went on a hot August night, so that plus the hot grills made it hot inside but the staff brought two big fans for our tables and that helped! Overall, excellent service, delicious food, and great vibes!

Solid hibachi spot off of the 99 in Manteca. Food was good and very plentiful. Cost was about $40 per person and the dinner option came with salad, soup, shrimp app, and stir fried veggies. Chicken fried rice cost extra. The service was friendly and attentive but a negative for them messing up our steak cooking order, thus one star delay. The restaurant is definitely no frills and standard. This place is not fancy. They did play some good music though!

even with reservations, we waited 20 minutes to be seated, but they made sure to promptly seat us when the next table opened. The food looks good. I will update you on the quality of the food after dinner.

To start off, these guys are located in a small shopping center, a fairly decent location for Manteca. When you walk through the front door, you are greeted by a large saltwater fish tank that at the time of writing has a blue hippo tang, a powder brown tang and a few others that were zipping around. It's pretty neat for a salt water tank fan. As far as the food goes, fairly solid. The Ahi Poke was really good. Solid flavor profile. The soup and salad they bring with your meal was more like hot water with some mushrooms and onions thrown in. My guess is that since it was early, it didn't have a chance to really build the soup base flavor. The salad was your typical salad served at most places like this. Pretty basic. The Tuna steak was cooked exactly as I asked, which I'll admit is rare for a tepenyaki joint. They normally always over cook my tuna. Chicken fried rice was good, shrimp and veggies included with meal were good. Chef did a great job with the table side performance and had us smiling and laughing with him. One thing I don't like is that the tip is included on the check automatically. I don't like giving the bare minimum tip, but since it was included on the check, I didn't give what I normally would for great service. Will have to come back again in the future, maybe at dinner time instead of lunch, and see how they handle a dinner service.

So I felt like some teppanyaki today. Hubby found this place while searching Google. Only 45 minutes from us. So here we are! Hubby got an appetizer of ahi poke bowl. Meals start with onion soup and salad. Hubby had tuna and fried rice. I got hibachi chicken and fried rice. Food is so yummy. Our cook put on a wonderful show. Fire yay! Everything is prepped in front of you. It really is spectacular especially for a date night. This restaurant is a small and romantic place. It is not too loud at all. Yes, we did come at lunch so I'm not sure how loud it is at night! Would definitely recommend stopping by.

When you get that Tepanyaki ich.... Go to Ichiban! Worth the money and I even witnessed a new trick on the grill.

I'm going to stop here every time I make the long drive from LA to Oregon. It's somewhere up there along the way. Amazing service, played cool music, and can't complain about the interior. But the sushi... man, what a treat. Biggest rolls I've ever seen for the same price as a tiny 4 piece roll anywhere in LA. Best prices. I was impressed with some of the experimental rolls like one that was deep fried and cut like an eggroll, came with some amazing dipping sauce. Sake was delicious and warming. I'll be back!

When someone finally came over, it was an older Asian waitress who simply asked, "What can I get you?" I politely asked how long the wait for food would be, and her response was, "It depends what you order. I don't know." That was our cue to leave. I don't mind waiting for good food, especially if a restaurant is busy, but they were not busy at all. Communication and basic customer service go a long way. A simple greeting, bringing water, or letting us know they were backed up would have made a big difference.

It's also getting a little pricey. When we first started coming here, it was about $48 for two people, and now it's almost $70 for three people. The service is okay, but one thing that always bothers me is that they bring you the check after your second plate, which makes it feel like they're trying to rush you out. Then after a while, they stop coming around to pick up your empty plates. I recommend going on Mondays or on the weekends when it's busier. The ice cream machine is always a favorite, and the sushi is pretty decent too. If you're looking to eat a lot without spending a fortune, it's still a good option. One thing I have noticed is that some of the dishes can be a little dirty, so definitely check your plate before using it. Like I said, it's really a hit or miss depending on the day.
