I got the filet mignon and lobster towel with the four dollar add-on for the chicken fried rice and the shrimp tempura appetizer and Hubby got the lobster towel with scallop. Cooked to perfection. At other places I go to the lobster is either way undercooked or too overcooked. This was exceptional. I don't even like scallops, but these scallops were hittin'. We use to love coming here, it was a once a month ritual. This place lost their touch in sauce and care for the food they're serving. No flavor in the food. WHERE IS RONY?!? The best chef this place had. Losing him cost this owner a lot, every time we were there he was the highly requested chef. Want Rony's cooking? He owns multiple food trucks and they are booming! This place is always a good bet. They give you so much food, it's always good for leftovers the next day, making it a pretty affordable purchase for 2 meals. Also, they are so accommodating. I am gluten free and my brother-in-law has a shellfish allergy. At most teppanyaki restaurants, that would mean our food gets cooked in the back and sometimes forgotten about. Not here! They always cook my food on the cook top but seperate it out before adding soy sauce and cook the shrimp at the end for not contaminate my brother-in-law's meal. Solid hibachi spot off of the 99 in Manteca. Food was good and very plentiful. Cost was about $40 per person and the dinner option came with salad, soup, shrimp app, and stir fried veggies. Venturing off the Great Wolfs Lodge we tried to sample some of the offering provided in the area sadly this place we will not come back to, let me break down everything we sampled and how everything faired There was 4 of us total, basically 2 kids and 2 adults Sampled the steak and shrimp - I can say it was cooked, I did request for the steak to be rare if not med-rare, it was cooked to well done, no pink on that steak at all.. shrimp was lightly seasoned also sampled the steak and lobster - steak requested medium-rare also came out med-well if not well done, lobster was diced and small sadly only lightly flavored as well sampled the Hibachi chicken - my son ordered this, his face basically stated it was so dry so he did not even finish it kid Hibachi steak - medium-rare requested, again med-well if not well done, so you can imagine how much chewing is required when your eating steak that is well done lol I also did a side of scallops oddly this was the only thing I like that was prepped the way I requested and was fairly seasoned well On a whole I don't I think I will be back, not sure if the experience alone speaks of any warrant because any every person has their own version of what is good and what is not good, this spot sadly was not good food ** i did not know med-rare is the new well done price $$$ service *** they took our order? then quickly hid in the back until the person who cooked our food came out ambiance *** looked a bit run down, sadly even the patrons that were there looked like they been there before and questioned why we come back here on their faces, one of the patrons at our table just left, they only finished a 3rd of his order, they didn't even get to the entree for him dunno if this was related to the food or a personal call read more

This used to be our go to hibachi spot, mostly cause there's no others near by but on our last visit, out for a special occasion, a cockroach walked across the table and directly onto the cooktop! I would give this place zero stars if I could. The service is absolutely terrible--staff are rude, dismissive, and make you feel like you're inconveniencing them just by being there. You practically have to beg for service, and to top it off, they automatically tack on a tip no matter how poor the experience is. The restaurant itself is filthy. The floors are sticky, the walls are covered in grease, and the tables are dirty when you sit down. It feels like cleanliness is the last thing on their priority list. The food is no better. The steak and shrimp were clearly the lowest quality cuts of meat and seafood they could get away with serving. Nothing tasted fresh, and for the price, it's a complete rip-off. Overall, the entire experience was unpleasant from start to finish. They've really gone down hill since the last time I've been here. Few years ago they sold off again to someone else or one owner bought out the other. Anyways they got rid of a bunch of the old rolls. Went again today and the service was terrible. Especially considering how much staff was just standing around. I was the only one at the sushi bar yet they took forever to come take my order. One of the items I ordered they ran out of. Instead of asking me right away if I would like to order something else, they waited til my other roll was ready to serve to tell me. To start off, these guys are located in a small shopping center, a fairly decent location for Manteca. When you walk through the front door, you are greeted by a large saltwater fish tank that at the time of writing has a blue hippo tang, a powder brown tang and a few others that were zipping around. It's pretty neat for a salt water tank fan. As far as the food goes, fairly solid. The Ahi Poke was really good. Solid flavor profile. The soup and salad they bring with your meal was more like hot water with some mushrooms and onions thrown in. My guess is that since it was early, it didn't have a chance to really build the soup base flavor. The salad was your typical salad served at most places like this. Pretty basic. The Tuna steak was cooked exactly as I asked, which I'll admit is rare for a tepenyaki joint. They normally always over cook my tuna. Chicken fried rice was good, shrimp and veggies included with meal were good. Chef did a great job with the table side performance and had us smiling and laughing with him. One thing I don't like is that the tip is included on the check automatically. I don't like giving the bare minimum tip, but since it was included on the check, I didn't give what I normally would for great service. Will have to come back again in the future, maybe at dinner time instead of lunch, and see how they handle a dinner service. read more

So I felt like some teppanyaki today. Hubby found this place while searching Google. Only 45 minutes from us. So here we are! Hubby got an appetizer of ahi poke bowl. Meals start with onion soup and salad. Hubby had tuna and fried rice. I got hibachi chicken and fried rice. Food is so yummy. Our cook put on a wonderful show. Fire yay! Everything is prepped in front of you. It really is spectacular especially for a date night. This restaurant is a small and romantic place. It is not too loud at all. Yes I do recommend this place!! Great location for birthday celebration or fun eats. We came in for a birthday celebration during a weekday and didn't need to make a reservation. On busy nights I do recommend you make a reservation ahead of time. The wait wasn't long to get the food started and our cook was fun and funny. He included all of us in his tricks which made our time interesting. Food was good and we still brought home leftovers that still tasted good the next day. I noticed other tables had different groups of people that didn't come in together. We didn't get other people to sit with us but I guess because their group was bigger than what seats we had left and our food was already made. Nothing much to complain about.
