This sushi spot has been around for a long time, I haven't been in years. The service was great from the moment we walked in, friendly staff, attentive, and everything came out in a timely manner. As for the food, it was a bit of a mixed experience. My favorite dish was the ceviche. It was fresh and really stood out compared to everything else we tried. The sushi itself, though, was just okay. Some of the rolls felt a little bland, and many of them were drenched in sauce, which made it hard to really taste the fish and other ingredients. It kind of overpowered the rolls instead of enhancing them. Overall, it was still a pleasant visit thanks to the great service and the ceviche.

Our very favorite place to eat!!! Food is on point, service is the BEST, & ambience is excellent!!! We go weekly, it's that good!!! My current favorite roll is the Honey Walnut roll!!! Try it!!! The owner always stops by our table to see how we are doing!!! Great place!!!

Second time coming here and it's not too bad, hence why I've come back. No complaints and always happy with my orders. Place does get packed though!

Food is pretty good there. I like your ambience. It's really comfortable great for a date night or family event. They bring out the food pretty quick prices are not bad.

We came here on a Sunday a late lunch-early dinner. I really enjoyed my futomaki roll. When I asked for a ramen the waitress recommended the chow mein style noodle with the beef. The soup was very flavorful just needed some spice. The tempura app was really good, as you can see too late for a photo. Everyone enjoyed their meal, no complaints. Will come again.

Great dinner as always. Service was spot on, our waiter was quick and came back several times for drink refills. The sashimi was fresh and the tempura was nicely battered and crispy. Always love their soup and salad that comes with the meal. If I had to point out a flaw it was that the hot tea seemed a little off...but maybe we just didn't let it steep long enough. Also for some reason the soy sauce was very, very salty. My wife loves soy sauce and she noticed this also. Overall great place for dinner. It's a busy restaurant with lots of to-go meals being sent out but our food still came in a reasonable amount of time!

This is my go to spot if I am craving sushi, the ambience is cute and cozy. The service was fast . I ordered a gyoza, miso soup and the kings roll . I love how everything is freshly made to order. Love the consistency of flavors . Definitely recommend this spot

Yummy california rolls as usual. The rolls were awesome. Great flavor and always fresh and full of the crab mixture and avocado. Definitely recommend

Hot Lips. Hard pass on this one again. Supposed to be stuffed with tuna, but I guess the way it's deep fried make the texture come out like a ground turkey sausage. shaped like a jalapeno but only a sliver in there.

To my beautiful Ashley on her 20th birthday to quote Dr. Seuss, "oh the places you'll go." I can't wait for your many adventures to unfold.

I'm going to stop here every time I make the long drive from LA to Oregon. It's somewhere up there along the way. Amazing service, played cool music, and can't complain about the interior. But the sushi... man, what a treat. Biggest rolls I've ever seen for the same price as a tiny 4 piece roll anywhere in LA. Best prices. I was impressed with some of the experimental rolls like one that was deep fried and cut like an eggroll, came with some amazing dipping sauce. Sake was delicious and warming. I'll be back!

When someone finally came over, it was an older Asian waitress who simply asked, "What can I get you?" I politely asked how long the wait for food would be, and her response was, "It depends what you order. I don't know." That was our cue to leave. I don't mind waiting for good food, especially if a restaurant is busy, but they were not busy at all. Communication and basic customer service go a long way. A simple greeting, bringing water, or letting us know they were backed up would have made a big difference.

Decided to eat here before watching a movie at AMC theater right next door on a Friday night…read more I was hoping that their Japanese food would be good but was disappointed by it. Firstly- garlic spicy edamame - felt it was rushed to make. The edamame was firm and not soft and there was no real spice or garlicky taste to it. For it being $9.95 whereas the steam edamame was $5.50, definitely not worth it. 2 stars Baby lobster roll- California topped with lobster pieces and eel sauce was pleasantly good. 5 stars Chicken teriyaki dinner - half the plate was filled with salad and an okay miso dressing. The chicken was just ordinary. I got tired of it quick and couldn't finish it. To me, it wasn't as good as my fav Japanese restaurant on how it's prepared, so for that I give it 3 stars. (Wouldn't order it again) My wife had the salmon teriyaki and she finished the rice but left a lot of salmon on her plate. No grade since I didn't try it. The positive is the staff was really friendly and attentive. 5 stars Now that I've tried Matsu Sushi, I don't think I would eat here if waiting to watch a movie at AMC. They have a great spot being next to the theater but sadly, not impressed with the food that I would want to spend over $100 to eat here (3 people)

Went with family and even though I was hesitant and outvoted from going to the Vietnamese place…read morenext-door, we actually had a great dinner. Food was so much better this time around than the last time I had been there. They really must've had a bad night when I had gone previously. Small restaurant in the of a little strip mall off of Main Street. They serve classic Chinese American food and unlike most places in the Bay Area that are family style dishes preferably on a Lazy Susan during dinner time. They offer rice plates, or combo plates for individuals, similar to lunch specials. I selected several dishes and asked the server which was the most popular amongst the dishes I chose, and she let me know the salt and pepper fish, which I got with chow mein. We also ordered shrimp & broccoli, and sweet-and-sour pork. Everything appeared made to order and looked very fresh. From grandma to the babes everyone was happy with their food. Mine was more on the plain Jane with just fried fish, luckily it came with sliced jalapeños to give it a kick. Next time I'll order a spicy eggplant dish. This is a good place to go to if you're with a group of picky eaters. Price is very reasonable, especially for dinner.

7/5 /25 Update 3/5 This has been a long time coming…read moreunfortunately. Ever since the previous owners sold the place the quality has dropped significantly. Consistency has been a major issue not only with food but with policy. When they first took over I'm sure there were some learning curves and maybe tweaks to the recipes. I wanted to give them a fair shot to get things right. Not sure if the old cooks stayed or if they got new ones? Did the new owners have the recipes changed? Did they change suppliers of ingredients, etc, I just don't know. What I can tell you though is that at least some of the dishes are different and are off from what I remember. The general Tao sauce I thought tasted different but necessarily bad. But combine that with a definite lack of crisp/crunch with the fried items and that's gonna be a problem for me. This time around, I only got the general tao beef because unlike my previous visit, they did not allow me to order the general tao beef in the combo plate as in upcharge (just last week or the week before it was allowed). I've been multiple times since the change in ownership. Partly because of the convenience of the location and partly because of the hope that whatever meal I eat at any given time will at least satisfy my fix for their type of Chinese American food. Unfortunately, the fried items I loved so much like orange chicken, sweet and sour pork and general tao beef alike are all severely lacking the crunch from the fry. As of late I've been getting the General Tao Beef to track consistency and it's been consistently under cooked in terms of the batter. The beef itself has been rubbery and to the point where I can't even break apart a piece and end up having to eat it whole lots of times. The other problem is that the pieces are large inconsistently cut (sometimes with, sometimes against the grain) strips making for a difficult chew. And because of the lack of crunch the fried battered outside just falls apart when you bite or try to cut it apart. The last two visits, but especially this one considering I ordered extra crunchy, were severely undercooked and soggy. it was to the point this time where I basically had to scrape off the majority of the batter and just eat the rubbery beef inside. It really does bring me pain to drastically drop the rating of a place that I once loved. I hope one day they can make the fixes so that I can continue to enjoy their food once again. I gave them a 3/5 but honestly, it probably should have been 2/5. I think the chicken with hot garlic sauce might be just good enough to keep it at 3/5 even though the last three times I ordered it. It was inconsistently hot (with cold spots) temperature wise.

Between the bar and dining area, there's plenty of seating, so finding a spot shouldn't be an issue. Side note: I'm not sure if this place was built underneath a spaceship, but once you step inside, you'll have zero cell phone service. Definitely something to keep in mind if you need to make a call or stay connected while you're here. The menu is fairly extensive and features a lot of the typical favorites you'd expect from a tap house. Once I tried their Avocado & Chicken Club Sandwich, I was hooked. The ingredients are consistently fresh and well-prepared, the chicken is always tender, and the French roll is soft and fresh. Pair it with your favorite drink, and you'll leave satisfied. During all of my visits, the waitstaff has been friendly, attentive, and helpful. Overall, this is a good choice if you're in the area and looking for a casual spot with good food, drinks, and plenty of seating.

It sounds great on paper but the execution falls short. For whatever reason they don't cook all the veggies with the pizza, instead, they heap on a bunch of raw veggies after it comes out on the oven so it's kinda like a salad. I'm guessing it's too much moisture to cook down all those veggies, in which case, put less veggies! The toppings should all be cooked! I'm leaving this review not only to inform you but to remind myself when I go back in 6 months! Also the wings were too vinegary. Pork belly bites were delish, service was fast and friendly.
