Was recently gifted a pasta bake dinner from Crust Club. Cooked it according to the directions and found that there was hardly any meat in the dinner. Not to mentions that the noodles were so unbelievably soggy and falling apart. There also seemed to be a lack of seasonings and flavor. I can't believe they sell their dinners for $31.99 of mostly just noodles and cheese. Where is the meat? And the love made into the meal? Because I don't see either. We like this place! The food is good, but their dessert handheld pies are definitely the star. the raspberry one is my favorite. Today I tried the chicken pot pie handheld, and it was just okay, kind of soggy and the flavor was lacking. My husband got the BBQ mac handheld and he liked it. I prefer it to be a little bit runnier, but I don't mind it. The chicken was tender and was not dry. It could use more salt and seasoning, it was pretty bland. The mac & cheese was the best part of the meal for me, but even that was bland. The key lime pie was a complete disappointment. It did not have that tart flavor real key lime pies should have. It definitely leaned sweeter and a little artifical. If you like the key lime pies from Florida, Urban Hill, or even Whole Foods, this will disappoint you. I only took 3 bites and threw the rest away because it wasn't worth the calories Also, they might want to add a "Contents Hot" caution on the box. This is a very unique place that I've been to a few times. I have only tried the hand pies. The chicken pot pie hand pie is by far the best one. If you want a sweet one I recommend the chocolate cookies and cream one. One usually doesn't fill you up. They are good but I've only been because I won some free hand pies. I just can't believe how expensive this place is. For one hand pie it's $5.49. You can go to McDonald's and get their $5 meal deal and it will fill you up and it's a whole meal. I would never pay for a hand pie if I don't win them for free. I love the idea of ready to heat up meals but for a dinner it's so expensive. I would love to go pick up a dinner from there on a night that's busy and I don't feel like doing much cooking but I feel like it's so expensive. We have wanted to try Crust Club for a long time but they don't have a location in SLC (hint hint!), but we decided to stop in PG on our way back north. The chicken pot pies are irresistibly cute so we got four of those to take home and heat later. They are delicious! We also tried a warm chicken hand pie for the drive home and it was tasty, but we like the regular ones better. We also got two frozen soups to enjoy later and they were both great: butternut squash and spicy chili. They're fully cooked and super easy to reheat for a family meal. The strawberry hand pies we had for dessert were a bit sweet for us, but tasty. Everyone was really helpful and we will definitely be back. Boston Creme was good. This wasn't amazing unfortunately. When I think of boston creme, I want the fluffy creamy middle and this is not. The creme is tasty, but not the creme that you would expect. I've passed by Crust Club many times and finally got the chance to try it! I got the four pack sampler with savory hand pies. The staff said the chicken pot pie and sweet pork hand pies are the most popular, so I got those two, along with sausage breakfast and ham & cheesy potato. They didn't have much seating area. It's probably best to take home and eat. I had the option to get them either hot or cold. I got the cold ones and took them home for lunch the next day. All I had to do was put them in the air fryer for about 10 minutes, and they came out nice and hot with a perfect crispy crust. My personal favorite is the sausage breakfast hand pie. I liked the filling with very soft and creamy scrambled egg inside. I also liked the sweet pork pie. It has got some onions and beans in it as well, which elevated the flavor. The ham & cheesy potato hand pie was decent, nothing extraordinary. I was slightly disappointed by the chicken pot pie, especially when it was recommended, but maybe I'm just not a chicken pot pie person. I didn't like it as much as the other flavors. It's a little bland for me. I might give it another chance, though. They also have sweet pies and other food options, which all look delicious. Solid little hand pie joint. I took the family here one evening after dinner so we could try some dessert pies and we ended up getting Banana Crème Pie and Peanut Butter. I love Banana Crème Pie and this hand pie definitely hit the spot for me, the Peanut Butter one not so much but overall a decent option if you like Peanut Butter. Just ok. I used to have Crust Club delivered to my home before the brick and mortars started to pop up. I was excited to see the South Jordon shop open and drove 25 minutes excited to he a hold of their chicken pot pie again. Sadly, the original owners recipe was SO MUCH better than what is sold in these stores. We couldn't find a single piece of chicken in the pot pie. It was also very dry and really lacked any seasoning. I also got a Boston cream pie and that was disappointing as well. The cream had a grainy texture to it. I had tried several desert pies from the original owner and they were all fabulous. Crust Club is a unique place where you can either get take home meals or ready to eat hand pies. We've done the hand pies a couple of times and really enjoyed them. The BBQ Mac one is their signature pie. I liked it more than their chicken pot pie. They've also got a pizza pot pie and a pork pot pie among other pies. If you want dessert, you can get "baby pies" in a couple different flavors. The chocolate cookies n cream was really good. This is a new style of food place for me. They provide prepared dishes to be cooked at home. I like that it's a small focused menu they can make well. We got the Creamy Chicken Ravioli and it was delicious. It's so easy to get overcooked chicken. None of it was overcooked here. They didn't take shortcuts with the sauce. I've been here a few times it's OK if you're in a rush and don't really want fried fast food do you want something more along the lines of homemade food? I would think the only downside that I've experienced and the reason why I gave it. A three star is because a few times I've purchased thepot pie the small one and when eating it, you can taste that it's been crossed contaminated with barbecue you'll get some flavors of barbecue so I'm not sure and I'm only assuming maybe they use the same spoon or didn't clean some thing when they were switching from their barbecue to their chicken pot pie and of course that makes the mind wander what else may not be clean or cross contaminated also had the experience of the pot pie not being warmed up properly. It lacks the "crusty ness" that you are looking for in pie crust. It's missing the thin but flakiness. Also need a pinch of salt in my opinion. We only got the smaller pies but I honestly can't imagine eating a full pie with that crust texture. Bbq Mac : the bbq was sweet and I liked the texture of the mix with the crust. Chicken pot pie : I was super disappointed cause I love chicken pot pie! The chicken tasted like canned cubed chicken and it tasted unseasoned. The herbs were stronger than anything. But I did not like that. I wish it was more of a creamy inside. Oreo pie : I am not a fan of cold pies. But I have it a try cause I love Oreo. And honestly the filling inside was pretty good. But I couldn't eat it as a whole. We've lived around the corner of Crust Club for two years now. We're from AZ and anyone who visits us usually immediately gets some yummy hand pies (both savory and sweet). We were always SO excited to show them too. Then we pulled up a few weeks ago to show someone else new and all the hand pies were gone... I'm telling you they were DELICIOUS! And only $4.50! Now they have mini pies that are $9 and it's just not worth it. I'm so bummed! Please consider bringing back the hand pies. Last night I had a BBQ mac and cheese handpie that was perfectly awful. The mac and cheese was mushy and the BBQ pork and sauce were so meager I couldn't taste them. I would have thrown it out but I hate to waste food no matter how bad it is. Oh, how I long for my beloved BBQ mac and cheese pie of years past. I've also become disappointed in the full pies and the meal entrees; they are tasteless, without any flavor. I've sent pies or gift certificates to friends, and I especially liked the handpies for a quick lunch or dinner; however, I think I'm done with Crust Club.
