I came to this donut shop since it's on the way home from the mall. From the way the frontage looked, it appears that they have been in this location for a while. It's a typical donut shop, nothing fancy. The people behind the counter appear to be a mom&pop team and I'm sure there isn't anyone else employed - immigrants chasing the American dream. I ordered the egg donut and the chocolate cream-filled. Noted that I got this late in the day, I'm surprised that the texture didn't feel stale. I came around 9am on Friday - and all the good donuts were already gone. While I was saddened by this, it's a great sign for the business I guess! I had already driven out here, so I decided to still get what they had remaining. These were mostly crullers, round cake donuts, croissants, apple fritters, cinnamon rolls, and muffins. Just asked her for a dozen of whatever she had left. I also got two croissant breakfast sandwich. Sausage, egg, and cheese. These were giant! We shared both with four people in the office. The donuts were pretty good. But a dozen donuts, plus the breakfast sandwiches came out to about $26 and some change. Kind of pricey. I expect to spend that at Krispy Kreme. In any case, I just have to remember to get here earlier next time for a hopefully better selection. read more

Ontario Donuts was an impulse stop on my way back from the gym (oddly enough) I had somehow justified my way into buying not just 1, but FOUR donuts. They were SOOOOO good! I love how fluffy they are..like eating some sugary pillows from heaven! My favorite was the maple bar with cocopebbles sprinkled along the top. The texture of the cereal is a surprisingly good combination with not as much added sweetness as you would think. Usually when you think sweet stuff combined with more sweet stuff, you get too sickeningly sweet...but they have perfected the combination here. The apple fritter was gifted to us with a "check-in" offer on Yelp! It was SOOO good. Ben said it was the best apple fritter he's ever had in his life.. Good ole fashioned favorites were still right up there were a good level of sweetness, soft/chewy texture, and no super sticky/oily aftermath! So good, I could've eaten all four by myself! Nice big selection of donuts and they taste so good! The donut shop is located in the stater brothers shopping center, a little sketchy area but worth going to. I've been here a few times and the service has been good every time and the donuts always look fresh when I've been there around 7:00am. I think the later you go, the selections will get slimmer and the unique donuts they have may be limited. They have your traditional donuts to donuts filled with cream and fresh strawberries and donuts that have cereal toppings. I also ordered a croissant sandwich with ham, egg and cheese, it's worth the price and it's pretty big that I got full eating it half way through and ate the other half the next day. I brought a dozen of donuts to my work and everyone at my work says that they enjoyed all the donuts, needless to say, the box was empty and everyone enjoyed them. read more

I've lived right up the street from this place for almost 17 years and have never been before today. I really wanted a maple bacon bar and wasn't sure where to get one, so I turned to Yelp and discovered that they had them here! The shop was extremely clean and the lady was so nice! Just my personal opinion, I'm not a big fan of super crispy fritters, and I missed the doughy consistency. Which is why it's only 4 stars. They changed it a few months ago and I feel like it's no longer worth the 20 minute drive out here. It reminds me of a flat cookie where it's just crunchy all throughout which isn't my cup of tea. Maple bar: 4/5. Nothing really special, pretty good. Jalapeño ham and cheese croissant:4.5/5. It was good. Enjoyed something salty after the sweet. Unless the recipe changes for the apple fritter. The husband and I were running errands in the area and remembered that we had seen this donut shop a while back and had yet to give it a try. Started to crave a maple bacon bar donut so we called to ask if they had them. The woman who answered the phone was very sweet and assured us that there would be maple bacon bars waiting for us. When we arrived, she was standing behind the counter with a tray of maple bars and said, "Hello! You wanted the maple bacon bars?" We said "Yes!" and she then said, "OK! I make them fresh for you." She then went to the back kitchen area where she fried fresh bacon to put on the top of our maple bar donuts. We got home, opened the box, and noticed that she had snuck in some complimentary donut holes! Very sweet woman and the maple bacon bar ($2.25 each) was delicious and packed with bacon.
