Really nice rooftop bar in flushing queens. Entire staff including the cook comes out at greets you with a genuine smile. The gin and tonics are pretty damn good... I'm sure all of their other drinks are as just as good as well. The bar also offers cheap happy hour prices on the weekdays. Ambiance is pretty nice with lots of rainbow-like colors. Manager is very accommodating and really values his customers and treats his employees with respect. All in all awesome place to spend your nights here. This place is just A-OK. My friends booked the whole entire 8th floor two Saturdays ago. The ambience was great and it had all the right vibes there, but it was just so damn small and cramped. The drinks are moderately priced, but I feel only the male bartender was the most efficient one out of all the female bartenders. I feel bad for him because he has to pick up the slack for the other girls. There's no smoking section on any part of the 8th and 9th floor, so you have to take the elevator all the way down to the main lobby and walk outside the hotel to have a cigarette. Make sure you don't stand anywhere near the front of the door or the two big blocks of stones, or else the door man will scold you and attempt to kick you out. +1 for the cool fire table tops things on the 9th floor. Didn't know what to expect before coming here - after all, a rooftop bar in Flushing? That's not what you come to Flushing for. The ambiance is ok - it's nicely decorated but not unique. There's a rooftop floor and a bar floor but given that the roof top is at the 9th floor, there really isn't much of a scene to look at. Plus they had high glasses surrounding the roof; it didn't feel like a rooftop at all. Came here on a weekday and the bar was quite slow but the bartenders and the manager were really nice. They were talkative and friendly. The drinks are good but if you are one about cocktail being strong, don't expect too much. I only tried one of the snacks - the tacos, it tasted like something they pre-made then microwave...slightly like what you'd get in the plane. If you are not hungry skip the food (can't speak for other food though). The music --- some people will def. hate it but I LOVE it. There wasn't a DJ that day but the bartender kept playing top 40s from the late 90s and early 2000s. I think it's a good place to hang on a weekday after work (especially if you like to chat with the bartenders, they were really sweet). But if you are looking for a nice place to hang on a weekend, I suggest going to the city. read more

First time there so take this with a grain of salt. It was very quiet on a Friday night which I was surprised. Great for cocktail drinks if you like it sweet and fruity. It's in a shady part of town, and a walk from the 7 train, also crowd was ghetto. Staff could look a little more professional and less sleazy. And the Underage Drinking!! Overall I can't recommend this place, save yourselves the trip and go to the Leaf or Zebra, they're both closer to Main Street, better neighborhood with pleasant professional staff. It's a beautiful place. I am not one to write reviews (why would anyone listen to me in the first place), but this is truly a nice and entertaining bar, with exceptionally amazing people. First time I went, the hostess was extremely helpful in securing me a drink while I was waiting for the bartender. The bartenders were busy, and they were going through the normal line of progression in getting to me, but the hostess expedited the service. That first time, the bartenders were extremely friendly. Friendly to the point where I was incorrect in assuming that this bar had just opened up. Found out through my web research and from my 2nd visit. The second visit, the hostess remembered me. Right here, I was won over and it removed any lingering doubts. The people that are employed here, are nice. That is all one can really ask for.I do like to go to a new place just to see how they treat you, and this place definitely has good people. Met who I believe was the manager, and he is a good guy. The venue itself is a cute little place. I do wonder how this place will be during the cold months (as with any outdoor venue). I definitely hope they have a solution, as they have made Flushing proud. But, as for the time that it is opened during the spring and summer, definitely a place to visit. This is the only rooftop lounge close to my house so I have been here often. Not again. Every single time I have issues with the bill! Every single time! My partner and I decided to go to this bar on a Wednesday night where it was really slow, only her and I were in the loft area. Only other people there were two employees and what I presume is the manager/owner. My partner and I ordered food and drinks which were honestly very tasty, but the reason for one star review is because of the banter between the presumed owner and associate. He was explaining a business tactic they used very loudly and being extremely rude telling her to be quiet when he talks and for her to not tell him what to do, when the bartender noticed us looking she mentioned it to him in which he replied "so?". That's fine if you want to explain something to your employee but in the manner he was explaining was rude, it was awkward for us and dehumanizing to her. I wouldn't recommend going here honestly especially based off of the conversation they were having. He clearly only sees his customers as $$$ and not as human beings. read more

I went here on 11/26 to celebrate my birthday. It was a good time overall. The atmosphere is amazing and the bartenders were nice & attentive. Everything was on point. We ordered food and unfortunately there was some confusion with what we ordered and what someone else ordered so our ordered had to be placed again. Never tripped over that because those kind of things happened. Afterwards (next day) I realized I was over charged as if the food order was billed twice. I contacted Kevin whose number I got because I thought the place would be great to throw something for my parents anniversary in July (I always think ahead). So I told Kevin about the discreptancy and he took my information promised to look into it & get back to me because he wasn't @ work. Sadly enough Kevin still hasn't reached out to me and it is now over a week later. Slinky spacious purple-hued lounge inside The One Hotel. Even though it was a Saturday night, it wasn't super crowded, maybe it gets more packed in the wee hours? There's a rooftop bar too but it was closed that particular night. The elevator in the lobby closest to the entrance will take you directly to the Oo. The views of NYC were my favorite aspects of this lounge; you can see a few bridges connecting Queens to beyond, Citi Field, and good old Manhattan. It was amusing to watch the Mets Cubs NLCS game on the huge TV while being able to view the stadium from this bar. I got a regular mojito for around $12, and it wasn't bad, with lots of fresh mint and a hint of sweetness. You can order food but I opted not to since of my my favorite restaurants isn't a long walk away. Conversations with cool patrons and nice bartenders (especially the gal with glasses) rounded out the Oo Bar and Lounge experience. read more

I went here yesterday for a b.day celebration. This is a very nice grown-up place.Very seductive,the view is AMAZING especially from the rooftop! There are bars on the 8th & top floor. If u go on the 8th floor it's indoors but; the next level is outside and if the weather is right the night is perfect.
