Been planning to go to this restaurant for the longest. SO finally for 5 de mayo I went with my friends to enjoy. I usually start with the good. so lets do the bad first. They advertise free parking but we got there at 630 and the parking is next door and only after 8. Second the entrance is not wheelchair accessible at all. it has about 8 steps, we asked if there was like another entrance and they said no. One of the workers was not even sure , so finallv it was a no. They did not even offered to help but my friends carry me up. After this smal backlash we sat and we were greeted really nice.The waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable. We did not know what to order so she help out with that, her choices were on point. we had a sushi plate to share and you could pick 3 different ones, It was on point. We also had a tower of passion fruit margarita that was pretty good and a special price for 5 de mayo. We Got another plate of sushi that was amazing too, a order of chicken tacos , wings and fries. the wings were ok and tiny..We did get another tower lemon flavor but I think passion fruit was the best one. The place is really nice decorated and the music is on point, they played everything on the book. So excellent. And finally the bill, they add 4% credit card fee without knowing if u paying with a card or cash. I like using cash myself so they had to figure it out to get it off the bill Imaoo. This place is a Latin-Asian fusion sushi spot. Not what I was expecting until I walked through the door. It felt like I was in a club because it was dark inside and they had loud music going. Overall, I was expecting a better experience since I heard this place was good. But I was a bit disappointed when I dined here for the first time last night. We were sat immediately and in a booth, which was nice. But everyone who passed by our table kept bumping into it because of the position it was it which made it incredibly annoying. Upon sitting down, the experience felt rushed and not very friendly/welcoming. Our server came to take our order but didn't even give us waters. We weren't ready the first time she came so we asked her to come back. We still never got our waters. We ordered the 3 specialty roll + fried rice combo and an alcoholic bev. We got out alcoholic bev first - STILL NO WATERS. Our food came after that and we ate. The food was good but its definitely a sushi place that douses their sushi w/ sauces - maybe that's why it was good? The drink was good, but also felt overpriced and a bit too syrupy. Upon eating our whole meal, we still never got our waters. Side note- we saw one of the chefs go up to the sushi buffet table and grab sushi pieces with his bare hands. My friends and I had a girls' night out and decided to try this place. The DJ was fantastic and played old-school R&B, which reminded me of Coco Bongo if you've ever been to Mexico. The entertainment was great, and the service was good--our waitress was very attentive. However, I was disappointed with the food. While the presentation was nice, the taste did not match up. They really need to revamp their menu or find a new chef. The best items we had were the drink called Red Berry and the shrimp appetizer. I ordered fried rice with steak, but it was very dry. What an unexpected surprise. Annamaria and staff went above and beyond. Top tier staff. Cute and trendy interior. The best surf and turf of our lives. Soft, perfectly cooked lobster and steak. Seasoned perfect. The sauce was devine. Light sweet and Asian flavors that blew my mind. Great soft flavorful mashed potatoes. Good shrimp. The lemon drop shot was fun but the best i ever had. The California rolls didn't taste Asian, the rice of the California rolls was hard. For it to be our first time we had an unpleasant experience. What the fish was a good experience. I came here about 2 weeks ago for my girlfriend's birthday and they took care of us so well. The food was delicious! The portion sizes for the appetizers could have been a bit better based on price but the taste mad up for it. Our server was amazing too. I didn't get her name but she worked at night on 8/24. She made sure I was good with my allergies and made the night enjoyable and fun while everyone was dancing. If you've seen my reviews on drinks before I'm really critical but theirs was really good. We went here to celebrate my friend's birthday. The food was good, it wasn't horrible. The DJ played GREAT music so the 3 stars are for him. I really didn't like the performance because there was confetti all over my food so I couldn't eat it and our bill was well over $1000 for 5 girls. The other thing was the foam popped into the air which was all over my hair. We all went to the salon to get our hair done before the dinner and we weren't happy to leave a frizzy mess. Idk what all the hype is about! The bar is large and drinks are good but it stops there!!!! The tables are so small, I like space and not an over crowded area especially while eating. I would like everybody to read this in it's entirety. The reason why it's getting a one star is because it's a scam. The all you could eat is not true. Let me start off what all you could eat means. It means that you could eat as much as you want within a reasonable time between 1 to 2 hours. Most restaurants do 1.5 hours. Different restaurants have policies of how many hours you could eat, and how much they could charge you if food is wasted. That is what all you could eat means. They advertised it on their Instagram that it's all you could eat for $20 on Thursdays between 2:00 and 8:00 p.m. So we made reservations for 6:30. The nice host mentioned it will take 5 minutes to get a table. Which I was fine however it took almost 20 minutes. Which I did not mind since we skipped the whole line at the end (kinda) Then they sat us at a 3-person table. They took over drink orders and then they asked us if we could move so two person table. That did not bother us because at the end we realized they were so busy which we were fine. However when we got to the two-person table, there were other two tables that were seated after us and got their food orders first. The first waitress at the first table already told us the food is going to take an hour. Which we were fine because she set the proper expectation that it would just take a long time because how busy it is. She also told us that we could get five rolls each from the specialty roles and traditional roles which we understood and the fusion rolls were extra. So with that being said my boyfriend and I picked five roles that we wanted to eat. We wrote it down in our notes so when the waitress comes it will just be easier to give the order. At this point we did not care that the other tables were served first. Since the drinks were awesome and the music was good. Although music was good, it was just super loud for no reason. Our food came an hour and a half later which is fine because the expectation was told. HOWEVER, I asked where is the rest of the food because everything came on one small plate. She said this is it. And I said this could not be it because it's supposed to be eight pieces per roll as the website said. The waitress said that's not the case because you're doing the All you could eat. Which means if it's an all you could eat we're expected to have the same amount of pieces that's on the original menu except the fusion rolls. Clearly this place is a scam because when I had posted on their Instagram I was instantly blocked once I wrote it's a scam. I have proof and I will upload it on to the reviews. With that being said eat at your own risk. It is not all you could eat and the portions are cut in half. If that was the case it should have been told on the menu that the all you could eat is four pieces per roll and you could only have that amount at one time. All you could eat restaurants have different menus at different times and what is included and what is not included. Clearly the sushi place does not know what needs to be done. I don't care if it's $20. However if it's advertised eight pieces per roll that is what I'm expected. If they're saying it's five rolls per person then I expect five full rolls and not a half a roll. And at the end I don't even believe it was four pieces, and actually was three pieces per roll. So it's up to you whether or not to go there on a Thursday or even go there. Super Cute place ! The food is a Spanish-Asian fusion , like Tex-Mex but better . The service was good. We were sat promptly on arrival . It wasn't crowded so we would've been fine without the reservation they suggested making . Ordered our drinks that took a lil while to come but ended up being delicious . We ordered a bunch of appetizers that came out as they were ready . Everything was clearly made to order and took a decent amount of time . My least favorite dish was the crab slider. My favorite was the stuffed maduro. The sushi was good I just wasn't crazy about the fortune cookie hat it was wearing , not my fave . The one thing I did notice was that when I finished my drink and didn't want another round , the waitress didn't recommend or ask if I wanted a non alcoholic beverage but I ended up asking for water later because the salt content in the food definitely isn't light . The flavor is definitely present . The deserts were unbelievable ! The wettest trés lechés I've ever had . The decor gives off more than restaurant and according to the staff after 11pm it turns into a party and there are dancers in addition to the entertainment of the DJ . Let me start off by saying i hate social media. Social media made me believe this place was going to knock my socks off, but it did the complete opposite. The only thing 5/5 is the ambiance. This is a place you go too when you just want cute instagram photos. I sat down at my table and my glass was CRACKED, and not just like a little chip. No way it should've been placed on the table. The beverage are cute, well prepared but again. When i go to a restaurant i want to enjoy myself. Im not just going for cuteness. The food is mid. Nothing to crave about, the menu is bland. It's literally just sushi and a few other options. We didn't even stay for an entree because nothing caught our eye, the calamari that we did order as an appetizer was all breaded, crunchy and hard. We did try their shrimp tempura (which i forgot to take a picture of) but the cucumber was the same size as the shrimp, just these oversized pieces. I'm happy we left and went 6 minutes away to Citron now that place is AMAZING definitely will be my next review so stay tuned for that. Overall, definitely won't be returning. Service: They definitely made it a point to check in on the table very often, there were at least four ladies checking in. Drink: not pictured, frozen mango margarita, it was very tasty and had a good bit of tequila. The Ly Chi Chi could have been better if it had more alcohol, it had too much lychee puree, it was a bit too sweet for my liking. Appetizer: not pictured, shrimp mac n cheese and Gyoza (vegetable dumplings). Mac n cheese was tasty, didn't really taste the shrimp but still tasty. The dumplings were tender and vegetables inside crunchy (the way they should be). Dinner: Chef fried rice with chicken, the chicken was flavorful but the rice was lacking flavor. The Loco Roll was very tasty, the sweet plantain and bacon bits gave it a nice touch and flavor. The timing on brining out the food needs some improvement.
