We decided to host a surprise 60th birthday party for a friend here .. and this is how it went , The food is absolutely divine , from appetizers to main dishes , everything is just so tasty . Our bartender and our waitress (Janine) were simply the best people to deal with , so professional yet so much fun . The party room is beautiful and very spacious and that was great . The price was extremely affordable and they were very accommodating to our party size . However I was a bit disappointed with the fact we weren't informed that there was an event before ours and if we didn't have so much help from our friends we would never be able to decorate everything on time before we brought in the birthday person . Maybe a bit more communication would be better next time . All in all was a great experience .

Before coming here I was skeptical, but after eating here it's confirmed that this is one of the worst Irish restaurants on Bell Blvd. Save yourself the time and just go to Donovan's or Maggie Mays. First you walk in and aren't greeted. It's 7 o'clock dinner time you'd imagine, but you can tell the 4 people at the bar basically live there and the bartender is so interested in working there. The atmosphere screams to the fact that you know people come here solely to drink. The food was subpar. The table bread was a mix of iced cold pieces and some Luke warm. The food was almost embarrassing, my Shepard's pie was decent but I've had better. My dad who tends to eat anything with no care to a flavor palette, took two bites of his steak and refused to eat it. He said it was the worst steak of his life and my mother concurred after taking a bite. I would only recommend coming here just for drinks, but I don't even know if they can do cocktails so proceed with caution.

Definitely wanted the Irish Breakfast and the place made an exception because our server asked the cook if they can and they did!! It's a welcoming and cozy place especially on a rainy day! The menu stated they only serve this on the weekends but today was Columbus Day and since the crowd didn't start coming until a bit later I was able to get the Irish Breakfast I was craving! It was the best I ever had with huge pieces of black and white pudding! They don't serve them this size at a diner that is for sure! My husband was going to order the bangers and mash but they ran out of them so he got the Shepard's Pie which he said was tasty, filling and hit the spot. He had two Guinesses on tap and that was good as well. They also have unsweetened iced tea here which I ordered and enjoyed. Excellent service our server was on her own and did a phenomenal job even as the Pub got busier.

They tend to cluster at the end of the bar waiting for someone to walk in to leer at. After you find a seat they continue to stare, as if trying to figure out if you're a college kid, new local or cop. The bar itself is small and set up in such a way that you are forced to sit with you're back to these "regulars". This only adds to the general discomfort of the place. Nothing much to do but get wasted, so, I did just that. The night started to get interesting around 11 when some females actually entered. To my relief the regulars then set there attention on them. More and more people arrived. They all appeared to be from Sarah Lawrence College. The guys looked like girls and the girls like guys. The regulars appeared oblivious to the fact that these females wanted nothing to do with them. Watching a guy with a thick Irish accent buy drinks for an obvious lesbian who couldn't understand a word he said made the visit worth my while. The place turned into an absolute freak show. Irish construction workers and trans-gender college kids dancing the night away. I left around 1 with the bizarro party in full swing. Other remarks: The bartender was an irish guy named Joe. He seemed okay at first but, was very nosey. He continued prying for personal info, and I just didn't trust him for some reason. Then again he may have been happy to see a new face, however, I would have preferred to be left alone.

It is Irish owned and features an assortment of creepy Irish regulars that like to hit on unsuspecting Sarah Lawrence girls (my favorite pick up line is when some guy told my lesbian friend "But, I have a vagina"). This can get overwhelming on a night when there aren't a lot of students around. For a student, it can be a place to get congenially soused, talk, and play darts or pool with their friends on a packed Thursday night or they can feel like they are surrounded by random acquaintances they know in various ways that don't always mix, standing around and hardly able to make small talk because of the loud music. In other words, I find it extremely awkward unless I'm drunk and then ambiance no longer matters. Other remarks: Joe the bartender is well known and I am unsure whether he is a nice barroom psychologist or a manipulative bastard. The bar has begun to ID so there are mostly upperclassmen. The drink of choice is the Bailey's Irish Car Bomb.

I will say I think they were slightly understaffed given the crowd, we saw our server once throughout the first half of our time there (several minutes after seating + while we were about halfway thru our apps and entrees) but she was absolutely lovely and clearly busy so we weren't really bothered by it. The menu has very detailed, almost elevated descriptions that make everything sound spectacular, but in practice the flavors don't quite come through, especially the sauces, which are barely noticeable. Our server was flexible when we asked to swap the potato chips for fries on the kids' grilled cheese meal, which we appreciated. However, we were then charged $1.40 for a side of ranch for the fries. I understand they have a range of specialty sauces and dips that are clearly priced on the menu, but that still felt steep for ranch. They also offer a combo option to add fries for $5, but the portion doesn't really feel aligned with the price. The steak sandwich itself was surprisingly tender, even though it looked like it might be tough. That said, I couldn't taste the roasted red pepper sauce, and the "sweet onion jam" turned out to just be caramelized onions. My mother actually ended up picking them out because she doesn't eat onions. (she won't eat onions that she can see) The buffalo cauliflower was tasty, but could have been crispier. The "serves two" description also felt a bit generous given the small portion. I also ordered a brisket sandwich to go with fries. The coleslaw sounded great on the menu, but in reality the flavors didn't stand out, no real hint of jalapeño, just a fairly standard slaw. Overall, the food descriptions felt more impressive than the actual execution, though the to-go fries portion was more generous, which was a nice surprise. Would I go back? I'm not sure. Maybe for a casual visit with a few beers and fries with an assortment of dipping sauces...I am a sucker for those.
