This was possibly the worst place to get a manicure ever. My daughter Ana gets acrylic nails all the time and when she saw that this place did it for $18 we went in. We didn't find out until after the painful manicure that gel was $12 extra, it wasn't written anywhere and they didn't tell us. The manicure itself looks terrible and they cut her and then painted over the blood. Not only that but we went in 10 minutes before our appointment and the guy didn't start until 30 minutes after our appointment. This was my first time ever at this location & I'd definitely go back! My boyfriend & I were taken care of very quick on a Saturday evening. They have a big selection of colors which I loved. I went with a pretty aqua color & was mostly satisfied with the service. I had an air bubble on my fingernail I realized after I paid & left, but loved the color. My pedi was amazing. No complaints! They put your feet in a warm bag & I believe mold it in a foot mask. It felt great! My boyfriends and I feet felt smooth afterwards. The warmness of the bag released the tension of our feet. The guy who did my nails was rude, he was busy keeping his eyes on another customer and was not gentle when prepping my nails. I had asked him to clean up my nails more and didn't clean it until the end. The inside of the nails still have nail polish and residue from the curlicue. I've decided that letting the owner know one of her employees is continuously rude, loud and did I say rude.. is pointless. It's as though they get a "kick" out of customers complaining, because at the end of the day, they continue to still have additional customers and could care less about those who have put up with it, ignored it, and been returning customers due to loyalty to their nail tech. You offer service to paying customers who don't treat you less, we are all equal. So stop acting like you are better. I'm not paying for attitude nor loud talking in a foreign language. Ok so i went here based on convenience and was extremely disappointed. I usually go to Queen Bee but did not have time to go to that side of town so i stopped here. I had been to the salon when it was under different management and they always did a good job. Today was different. I needed a fill and a simple polish change on my toes. They sat me down and reclined me completely and while the gal painted my toes, a man did my fill. I had my arms thrown over one side and it explains how my nails came out they way it did. This was hands down the fastest fill I've ever had and it shows. He took the file in too much on my sides and none of my nails are straight across in the front. I chose a white color which i understand is pretty unforgiving, but my nails are lumpy and not smooth and this just showcases that even more. I'm going on vacation tomorrow and am pretty bummed. I should've trusted my gut and stuck to my tried and true. If you're looking for fast and easy this may be the place for you but if you're looking for quality I'd steer clear. read more

I Felt the prices were a little high for what you get. I would think that a deluxe pedicure would take longer than 15-20minutes I felt like we were just rushed in and out very quickly. They did an OK job but I would like to not feel so rushed getting a pedicure. Part of why I went to get a pedicure was to relax, not feel rushed. i stopped by this morning on a whim after roaming around best buy. lucky me. i needed a wax and my husband got a pedi for his birthday. we were the first customers of the day, so i really can't tell you about the regular clientele. what i can tell you is that there are dolphins all over the walls. i felt a bit like i was in a sinking ship. however, the esl employees were quite friendly. paulina, who did my waxing, was terrific. she really took her time and was very precise in her work. she tells me she also does facials. paulina has a very gentle touch and was not talkative - a DEFINITE plus. i just hate it when technicians want to talk with you while your face is covered in hot wax. i felt like i was at the dentist and he was asking me how things were going while my mouth is full of dental-y stuff. annoying. plus, i don't really want to have a conversation at the salon anyway. only if i'm back home and there is juicy gossip to be had. the shop was clean and bright and well organized. there are a dozen nail stations, one wax/massage room, and two dozen pedi chairs, which are comfortable according to the husband. the tech who did his pedi was quiet, and she seemed to have something troublesome on her mind. poor husband. his calves got a serious iamaggravatedaboutsomething massage. but his toes look nice and his heels are soft. like i said, conversation optional. i noticed a sign in the window for an authentic 'Thai Feet Massage' for $20. not sure how long it lasts, nor what it entails, but it was adjacent to a foot reflexology chart. i'll check it out sometime and repost. now, services offered and pricing: mani/pedi deluxe $70 mani/pedi regular $38 mani $14 pedi $27 they offer parafin for mani and/or pedi for $7 or so oh and callus treatment too. for the customary '$5 more' european facials - 60 min - $60 add an arm and foot massage to the facial for $20 more eyebrow wax $13 brows and lips $21 full face $31 etc etc etc....they'll wax anything you want hairless eyelash extensions $150 eyelash extension touchups $50 massage $60/hr and $40/30min massages offered - original thai, swedish, shiatsu, deep tissue, and reflexology. if you're into acrylic nails, they're $26/set and $16/fill they offer french tip, pink&white, gel power, gel liquid and silk wrap all in all, it's pretty good. i really appreciate the attention to detail by paulina -- a good wax technician is almost as good as a good gardener or a great housekeeper! it's a must! read more

I've been to a lot of nail places and very rarely am I completely satisfied with my experience. First, to address the complaints, this salon has the same atmosphere as all the other salons. Don't expect 5 star service and a cozy, intimate setting. However, my nails turned out great and the overall experience was by far much better than comparable "affordable" places. I got a legitimate foot/leg massage with wax and scrub and the technicians were so friendly. As people came in they actually asked about families, children, the health of parents etc ... For a nail salon like this that really says a lot. Also, the chairs are so comfy and recline. For the lengthy massage (again, not luxurious-style massage but not the beat-your-calves kind either.. You know what I'm talking about) the reclining chairs makes for an overall ahhhhhh kind of experience. For a cheap mani pedi I'd definitely recommend it. They're not quick or fancy but the most bang for your buck in this category of services. read more

The hygienic procedures of this salon are questionable. The seats were not cleaned between customers, and the tools they used looked dull and unsterilized. Ventilation is poor and I walked out with a huge headache from breathing the fumes. The technician was very friendly, but seemed to be lacking in basic skills such as testing the temperature of the water before using it on me. She did however pick out a nice color for my fingers, but I was hesitant to agree with her because she insisted that I could not use the same color on my toes and fingernails. read more

I used to come here when it was Venus nails and even on their busiest day never waited longer than 10-15 min. Yes, I was a walk in today, but it's Tuesday and not what I would consider busy. I waited a good 30 minutes before anyone came to start my pedicure and I was sat in a chair that was broken (there was 8 others that were open) so not even a massage chair while I was impatiently waiting. Now my pedicure will be rushed and not the relaxing experience that I was hoping for because I have somewhere I need to be in less than an hour. This place used to be so good. Sadly disappointed. Today I went in for a deluxe pedicure and gel manicure. I've been in about 5 times total and each time seems to get worse. I walked in and the receptionist hardly even looked up at me. She asked me to take a seat and after about 10 minutes still no one comes to help me. Another walk in customer came in after me and was sat and taken care of before I was. They did not do a good job on my pedicure at all. My feet were not very rough to begin with so I though for sure they would be baby soft walking out. Nope. They weren't and the nail polish was smudged before I ever walked out. I would not recommend going as they are pretty rude as well. read more

I saw a special for a mani-pedi and decided to give it a try. I made an appointment but still had to wait 20 minutes before any service. I had French pedi on my toes (with an additional cost) and French gel mani (also with additional cost). The chairs were not comfortable and the massage was completely lacking. However, the gel mani lasted several weeks with no chips, definitely high quality. Altogether I would not recommend it. The special pricing wasn't so special in the end, and the environment was loud, hardly relaxing at all. It was helpful to book an appointment or I would have waited much longer. read more

Hi Yelpers, I have a condition that makes my nails look awful, it's called clubbing. For years I have been embarrassed by them and often hid my hands. I went for a pedicure at first, and then, asked about getting a full set that wont make my nails look so parrot like. To my surprise Chi did a wonderful job. FOUR HOURS- Because the owner wasn't there, this lazy crew decided to close early. My gel polish was EIGHT coats thick and didn't set(I wonder why). I also asked for no oil on my feet and hands, as my feet are way too slippery after and my hands slip right off the steering wheel when I go home. They put oil in my hands and feet. I tried. While I had my pedicure re-done in hour three, they all talked about me and looked at me. I asked several times what they were saying but didn't get honest answers. I might not speak the language, but I'm not an idiot. Now my nails look like this on a holiday weekend, but I should have known better, as this is not my first bad experience with Vina Nails. I refused to pay for my manicure, but be grudgingly agreed to pay for my pedicure. At that time I still had eight coats of wet gel on my hands and the front desk girl wasn't happy when I didn't want to hand over my credit card that very second-she wanted to close down the register and I was inconveniencing her. When I walked out (45 minutes later)with file powder and red gel remnants on my fingers, the front lady again showed how much she didn't care. She smiled and me and said, "come again. Very disappointed. I was there two days ago and my gel mani AND pedi are cracking. They are under new management and they started charging $20 just for gel(no manicure) when down the street they do gel for $12!!!! Don't waste your money especially when the work isn't great. I asked for a design and she told me it would be $8 extra but the art was NOTHING like the picture I showed her which was literally just a xmas sphere, it looked like a child did it so I asked her to take it off and of course she still charged me. I loved the pedicure! The chairs lean all the way back and I almost fell asleep! I got the Deluxe pedicure and it was $42, well worth the money! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because I called before going in to ask if they did "Gel Builder" nails/fills, (like acrylic, only with gel). I'm a nurse and can't wear acrylic, by state regulations. They said they did it, so when I went in I told them what I wanted. I expected that someone would do my nails at the same time as my pedi. At the end of the pedi I mentioned that my nails were to be done and they seemed surprised? Sent me to a mani table and I was so relaxed from the pedi I didn't notice she did an Acrylic fill!
